Hey thank you for your videos. I just recently purchased a DS, and I'm having a grand time diving into it's library. Your videos are helpful because I think you have good taste in games, but also your narration is concise and your voice is easy to listen to (as opposed to other TH-camrs).
One game I think you're missing in this video is Kirbys Mass Attack. That is such a charming and addictive game! But I understand this is your top ten, so some great games had to be excluded. Anyway, thanks again! Any more DS videos would be greatly appreciated.

Best console ever imo. The switch will become the best after its Homebrew community matures and more good games release but for now the 3ds is king.

I'm loving the content on the DS and 3DS.
Megaman ZX was my introduction into Megaman and remains my favorite to this day. Infact, it's my comfort game lol It's the only game i've actually bought a sound track CD for and...the CD remaster's are incredible. I should mention as well, Megaman Zero is the prequel to this and they blend together fairly well, the Zero Collection is also available on the DS so you can have all 4 Zero Games, ZX and ZX Advent on the DS for a 6 game platforming saga in one of megaman's greatest and most cohesive stories to date. I think truthfully only the Network and Starforce games really beat these 6 in terms of story but those are RPG's.
If you haven't yet, I recommend you also play the megaman x series. It is the prequel to megamn zero

in a top PLATFORMERS ?? Ghost Trick(one of my top 5 on DS) is ok for Puzzle game and Visual Novel, but platformer... it's a bit too much stretching.. ^^ And Solatorobo does have it share of platforming, but its genre is more like Arpg.
@@arnaudkelly8688 I know, but snake pass is also a platformer in classification, even though you can't jump. And solatorobo has at least some of the designs to be classed as a platformer as well in its levels as you platform from one are to another

@@JoKoKilla3 year later but from what I've found, Risky's Revenge was a cancelled GBA game that's now being brought back to life... by Limited Run Games...
Aliens Infestation and Henry Hatsworth were so damn good. I'm shocked the latter has never been ported.

I'm a huge fan of the DS's library of games. There's some pretty good picks on this list. I especially recommend Henry Hatsworth and Monster Tale. I'm looking forward to more lists like this one!

gonna push back on MMZX. it had a lot of good ideas, but they fell flat. Especially unlocking new abilities. I like the idea of only getting half of the power until you fight a second boss, but most of those abilities felt useless at half power. Some of the hazards you had to get past were almost as bad as the ones on MMZ2 design wise.
Thank god Megaman ZX and it's sequel got a re-release on modern platforms in the Megaman Zero/ZX Colletion :D now if only the Castlevania ones would get the same treatment ...

I love Nintendo handhelds and really all handhelds including those made by SONY, NEO GEO, & SEGA,, but my all-time favorite is the Nintendo 3DS.
The Nintendo DS is almost tied with the N3DS, because that handheld has a bette variety of genres compared to the N3DS. I love side scrollers, shooters, brawlers, rpgs, and platformers, so the NDS doesn’t disappoint.
New 3ds is my favorite handheld console of all time. There's anything you'd want and it's compatible with DS titles.
Platformers? Donkey Kong, Mario, Kirby, Metroid
jRPGs? SMT, Dragon Quest, Fire Emblem, Monster Hunter
Hack'n'slashes? Hyrule Warriors, Senran Kagura, Castlevania
Puzzles? Layton, Picross, Pushmo
Visual novels? Zero Escape, Ace Attorney
Fighting? Street Fighter 4, Dead or Alive, Smash
Rhythmic? Rhythm Heaven, Rhythm Thief, Harmo Knight, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, Hatsune Miku
Life sims? Animal Crossing, Fantasy Life, Rune Factory 4
And if you install homebrew you can even emulate GBA, PSX and N64.

I’m not into homebrew as I like to play my systems the way they were intended to play. I have all or most of the games you mentioned, but in the majority of those categories, the Nintendo DS has way more games to choose from compared to the Nintendo 3DS.
Would have been great to have a Contra/Metal Slug game on the N3DS. There are a ton more RPG’s on the NDS as well and more that I like to play; Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy IV to name a couple. The NDS has games like Call of Duty and plenty of racing options.
I still think the N3DS is better, but damn do I wish that it had much more third-party support outside of eShop titles.
Oh, you mentioned Castlevania? I own all of the NDS/N3DS versions, but the NDS trilogy is by far the superior experience, especially Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow.
Monster Hunter Ultimate 4U, Fantasy Life, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Stella Glow, Super Smash Bros.: 3DS, Super Street Fighter IV: 3D, Metroid: Samus Returns, and Mario Kart 7, are games I still play till his day, so yes, the N3DS does have bangers, but the NDS has a better variety and more consistent library of games to choose from.
referral madness - I forgot about the Atari Lynx; I own that as well and I own Game.COM with games like Resident Evil and some family game that came with it. Graphics were actually not that bad with it being broadcasted in b&w. It was even touch screen with an included stylus.
I never got the Wonderswan, even though I wanted it for those Final Fantasy remakes, but that system ended up not releasing in the US. I also wanted the GP32 (I think that’s what it was called), but it stayed in Korea. I think I mentioned the Turbografx Express, which I still own.
The NEO GEO POCKET is actually a really great system. I have two fighting games for it, one being a Capcom vs. SNK type of game and a Metal Slug game. I am upset with myself for not picking up the Sonic game back when I had the chance to buy it new in 2008.

I really don't like Super Princess Peach. Bosses fights are cool & creative though. But the stages sometimes can be very annoying than Mario.

It’s such a crazy platformer man, juggling the platform gameplay with the touch puzzle underneath can be so tricky but it feels so good when it all clicks!
