Ed mentioned that Boox is still waiting to see what they will be when they grow up. Haha. I think that plays on both sides of the fence. There are a lot of users that need to figure that out for themselves as well. It would go a long way if users could decide in advance for what purpose they would need a device and then purchase a unit that most closely fulfills that criteria. It can be difficult….I get it. Sometimes you have to experience the actual device and all of its declared promises to see if it actually meets your expectations. This is why I’m sticking with my Supernote A5x. It just works for me. More technology or improved design do not always equate to better or more efficient productivity.
Not being a professional (anymore) nor having another use case for the A5X2 (mostly), I have now owned the Nomad for nearly 7 weeks. I held off buying into Supernote until I could see what the A5X2 would potentially offer. But after seeing the preview of the A5X2 and seeing that it didn’t offer much, to me, over the Nomad other than size, my decision to go with the Nomad was almost immediate from there. I was even hoping the A5X2 would be released during the 30 day window just in case. But that didn’t pan out, obviously. Would I like to try the larger size? Sure! But I know myself that I would likely use an A5X2 primarily at home which would defeat my purpose of buying into an e-ink notepad in the first place. I will definitely be looking out for the A5X2 when it is finally released and will watch with some enthusiasm the ensuing YT reviews from all you folks. But unless it is a significant game changer over the Nomad that outweighs the somewhat reduced portability, I’ll be sticking with the Nomad. Just my 2¢.
Thank you for your comment and sharing your perspective. I think you hit the nail on the head. If you don't need the extra space, the Nomad is a phenomenal device.
I think Ratta may be in financial difficulty. Firstly they mention "we are not in financial difficulty" and secondly they don't have pre-sales. Another possibility is that they are being bought out or have new investors and are having to wait until the money is secure.
Thank you for sharing your perspective. This is a possibility, but I am not sure it is a strong one (at least in my opinion). I take them at their word that there was a lot going on, moving pieces everywhere, and a shifting landscape. If they do not follow through on the A5X2, I would be more inclined to agree with you. However, I believe they still have time to recover and really impact the market with this device. Thanks again for the comment.
@@rantsabouttechnology yeah, I did it in post with DaVinci Resolve Studio. I will try to add the right delay in OBS to keep it from happening during the next E-Team stream. I plan to do a stream in between now and then.

Just catching this replay. You must have worked on the delay, it's excellent here. We dropped some gems in this one, lol.
