    It sucks. Anyways, here's how to get around it on android.
    1. Hold power and hold the power off on screen until safety mode pops up and click that to get around restrictions on non-downloaded apps.
    1. Setting->Accesibility->Installed Apps->Deacivate
    2. Settings->Search->"Device"->Admin apps->Deactivate

    But wouldn't it be if they can access the settings app in android they can actually delete all the apps settings in the app list which is called reset app preferences, which can be like that the apps on the devices would not be uninstalled but start from the beginning like when they just installed it, so would that have been that the parental controls wouldn't have been set or if they have access to a computer then maybe if they learned how the ways then could simply connect the devices with a USB cable to factory reset or the devices itself has a combination of pressing the power button and the volume up or and down and with the home button if it has it and hold them together when the devices boot up to start the phone outside the os so like the recovery mode so they could completely factory reset the device as well.

Parents aren't perfect, but they really mean well and want to protect as best they can.

      @ByGraceThroughFaith777 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@davidavidlulx654 yeah, the best parenting is giving your kids free acces to porn and pedophiles. Different family values bro.
      When you love your family you protect them, and you show them why certain things are bad, and why you can't let them do whatsoever their young minds want to do.
      The opposite of that is giving them freedom to distroy themselves.
      Just cuz they get exposed to things at school doesn't make those things morally acceptable and ok for their development. It comes down to values, and I love my kids too much to give them an unrestricted phone.

      If you live in their house for free and eat their food, I don't see anything manipulative about it. It's called discipline. Learn the difference, and it'll serve you well in life.

    • @englishbreakfastisrllygood1908
      @englishbreakfastisrllygood1908 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@brettcoutermash2651 in my opinion this way of “discipline” won’t serve me well in the long run. adults don’t understand that with kids or teens, being restricted from something will only make them desire it more. if i had the power to access the internet all the time, i would probably be more at ease, knowing that i could talk to my friends or play a few games whenever i want, so i would have more motivation to be productive. however, my parents refuse to compromise with me and siblings, and try to control all of our daily activities by turning off our internet or taking our phones. this is destructive to our idea of discipline and just makes us want to use our phones throughout the limited hours we have to access the internet. in my opinion, if my parents left my internet on all the time, i would be more inclined to have self-discipline, and also have the experience of 24 hour internet access so that when i’m older and have my own place, i won’t be arrogant with the freedom that i was restrained from as a teenager.

    • @brettcoutermash2651
      @brettcoutermash2651 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @earl grey I appreciate your politeness and willingness to have a discussion on my comment.
      The sort of discipline this is teaching isn't one of you're in trouble, but more as a standard practice of behavior. To be disciplined in karate for example, is to know how to fight, so you may avoid getting into fights. There is a such thing as over use of the internet and technology. To be able to appreciate life and living in the moment, these are things parents try to convey, and often come off as controlling.
      You mention you would *probably* be more productive if you could do whatever you want unrestricted, if that were the case, then your parents would be failing you. Much like my parents were backhanded if they misspoke to their elders(Def not okay to do today) but they were being taught how to behave in an appropriate manner. How you are raised will directly impact how you will behave as an adult, this is proven.
      I hope you and your friends stay close life-long, and if that's the case, limits to how much you can text them won't matter, but the bonds and memories you create will survive outside of tech.
      Something I struggle to teach my own children, is that it's okay to be still. It's okay to not have music on while driving, it's okay to be alone and bored with your thoughts sometimes. Being at peace with that will put you among the strongest minds. Much like bo burnams welcome to the internet plays with the theme of constant stimuli... it's not needed, and gives a distorted perception of needing more more more.

    • @brettcoutermash2651
      @brettcoutermash2651 2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      My son claimed something similar to me about not having his internet restricted, but his focus was on his cellphone late into the early hours of the mornings. He wasn't sleeping, and was failing many of his classes. It's my responsibility as his caretaker to teach him how to correct that situation, and when he didn't display the ability to put his phone down, I had to resort to limiting his access. Naturally he was very upset about it at first... he's getting used to the new routine, and he's showing improvements in areas he was suffering from to get the reward of what he wants, for doing what he has to.
      I don't know your situation earl grey, but I'd be willing to bet there is a bigger picture your parents are looking at, and are doing things to produce the best human they are able to create best way they know how. It took until my 30s to figure it out. Time will tell when you do too.

I have a 3 hour limit on all apps commended including school apps. If I say I want more time for school apps they said I should have used my computer and Im now stuck with having no way of communication with anyone online. Im a strait A student who literally does nothing bad. I'm 16, my parents control every aspect of my life and I hate it. I really don't get why parents control someone that much. It makes me feel like they don't even trust me at all. I hate it.

      I'm 17 and still dealing with parental controls and the trust between me and my parents is completely and utterly obliterated at this point. I'm a straight A student with a 3.98 GPA, taking college classes as a junior in high school, and I have a healthy social life. I now struggle with controlling and managing my ability to know when to get off my phone and computer, along with getting distracted with TH-cam, games, etc... I don't think I was given enough time to properly gain that ability to control myself with technology due to the restriction I had all my life and now I'm going to be screwed in college with all the distractions that will come with my newfound freedoms. I recommend learning right now how to control yourself and to make sure you can healthily manage your time with technology and gain the ability to know when to get off your phone or computer and what apps or websites to refrain from visiting because if they continue to restrict you all the way up till you're out of the house, you're going to be freaking screwed when all these freedoms are suddenly available to you, its going to ruin your life. It's setting you up for failure.

      The internet isn’t a safe place for kids. As parents we would never let our kids into a bar, or visit sex shops, or watch porn. For all the parents who think their kids wouldn’t do “anything inappropriate” it’s not about control, it’s about safety. Developing minds shouldn’t be given access to unsupervised and unrestricted content. It could cause all kinds of issues. Body shaming, bullying, indoctrination of any kind, unrealistic expectations, social media is extremely unhealthy, and the internet can be a gateway for predators into your home. All this is doing is pissing them off and makes them feel like there parents don't trust them or even care about them. You think your keeping your child safe and its out of love, but your kid doesn't feel like he's being loved. Your kid feels like he's a prisoner, and at this point he's better off without a phone cuz he cant even friking use it without someone spying on him 24/7 or the fact that everything is blocked.

    Kids getting around parental controls, makes me happy to hear that. Hell I did it myself back in my days as a kid...and rightfully so. My mom set up parental controls on my WoW account back in the day and in 2007 I got around it, how? Using her work computer, I started by getting on the account (thank you password autofill), turning the parental controls off, changing the password on the account so she couldn't get in to reactivate it, and deleting all the alerting emails from her inbox then purging them from the trash.
    My mom was pissed, cause naturally I was caught playing in person after the time the controls were supposed to cut me off, that was until she saw that after I cut that shit off I actually started doing my homework instead of ignoring it to get time in on WoW before it cut me off, and started hitting the honor roll.
    Then again, maybe we should be addressing teachers who fail to teach in the classroom and delegate the task to a packet. Like ok, you're not teaching the subject now, the paper is, a paper you probably found online somewhere, the fuck are taxpayers paying you for then, exactly??
