Scientists have found that sunflowers contain a unique cell structure that allows them to grow so tall on a single stem without breaking & falling over. But Miku's nickname at the @Homecafe was "Himawari" (Sunflower) & she falls over & breaks all the time. Confusing.🤔
The one with the red flower is Miku, but she is not the lead guitarist, she is rhythm guitar, back-up vocals and occasional lead vocals. In their early days, she couldn't play guitar and just mimed playing on stage and in videos. Kanami taught her to play and is still teaching her, and Miku has since developed into a very competent rhythm guiarist. So proud of our pigeon!
Miku (Red Rose/ singer) is the founder of Band-Maid and she plays rhythm guitar . Kanami is the lead guitar player =) Miku does play lead guitar on "Sayonakidori" Live Acoustic Verson ! Thanks for supporting The Maids !
I would say that Misa plays the acoustic Sayonakidori lead on her bass guitar. Miku is just strumming chords through the whole song and doesn't play anything resembling a lead guitar part on it.
Kanami is the lead guitarist. She wears the lace cover on her head. Miku, is the rhythm guitarist who wears the red rose on her head. MISA (the barefoot assassin) is the bad-assed bassist on the planet. Akane, the drummer, is also a bad-ass.
Great way to start my day. BTW,Miku has the flower and plays rhythm guitar. Kanami plays lead guitar and writes the music with input from all other band members. Glad to hear you are feeling better.
There is no Mika. There is a Miku, but she is not Lead Guitar. She couldn't even play guitar when she started the band. The best way to get to know the band is to watch the documentary videos by Ohrenji. There's one for each of the girls with three for band founder Miku. Did you catch Kanami doing some backing vocals during the chants?
Kanami Töno (plays the red PRS, flat bonnet) taught Miku Kobato (plays the pearl inlay front Zemaitis, red rose) how to play guitar. Miku had never considered playing guitar until after founding Band-Maid and Kanami asked her to learn. At first it was a steep learning curve for Miku and she almost considered giving up. A few years ago Miku said that she is *maybe* 60% the guitarist that Kanami is. Kanami keeps writing rhythm parts that are becoming increasingly more difficult as time goes on and she writes lead parts for Miku more and more often. This is a band that sets stretch goals for each other and their mission statement is, "We will do our best!" Don't worry, you'll soon become familiar with their names. The deeper you dive down the pigeon hole, the more fascinating their story becomes, every other song has a backstory to it, and their approach to songwriting is to respect the song and make it the best they can.

I would guess most Maidiacs’ playlists are between 60-100 songs 🤘🏽
If you hear guitar shredding going on in a song, 99.9 % of the time, it's Kanami doing it ! Also, on live video, Kanami always sets up on Saiki's left, Miku sets up on Saiki's right along with Misa. 😏❤️🎙🎸🥁😎🤘

You are not wrong when calling Miku, Mika, as it is her real firstname outside of Band-Maid. Miku is the rythm guitarist and backing vocals, sometimes lead vocal is a few songs. She is alos the main lyricist and the founder of the band.
Miku (red flower) is rhythm guitar, backing vocals, primary lyricist, founder of band
Kanami is lead guitarist, composer, musical genius
just think M&M's , Misa & Miku are always next to each other

It's an easy mistake for Mike to make seeing as Miku always wears a red rose & lead guitarist Kanami has never had one.😏
