The fact that this information is available to us for FREE just blows my mind. Thank you for inspiring us with each of your videos - you are SO talented!!!
Drew, you always explain the "why" for your design plans and improvements. Thank you. It helps me get a clearer idea of some design strategies that you employ!
OMG! Great job! You are so talented! What I really appreciate is that you continually use items that aren't extremely expensive. Anyone can make an area look fantastic with a lot of money. To make the spaces look beautiful and unique with limited funds is truly a extraordinary trick! You are flawless.
Wow! Your ability to visualize such stunning transformations is impressive. Putting those ideas into the digital renderings so those of us with no imagination can actually SEE what you’re talking about is incredible. Thank you!!
Amazing production quality, I can’t believe you do this for free! There are people who charge hundreds of dollars for a mood board and you’re doing a full-on 3D rendering! Hopefully the clients implement some of your ideas and show us in a future video :)
The last one is my favourite, well designed small spaces are so cosy and comfortable and I think you got it spot on. I'd love to see how the person uses your ideas
I think it looks beautiful as well, but I wonder how the wires would work in real life if they don't want to dig out the wall to hide all of them inside...
Love all the choices you made. For the 3rd room, I was thinking instead of baskets under the shelf, maybe two small white square ottoman stools with storage would be nice. Such a helpful and great series, Drew!
THIS IS INSANE! I think Kendra's living room is going to change her life. I live in Vermont and there are no designers that will help with smaller projects. It would be a DREAM for you to finish my home
Every time I watch one of your videos I say out loud “I just love him” and my kids ask “are you watching Drew again?” You are so incredibly talented and a total delight to watch. Thank you for being you Drew!
Totally agree with your view on round coffee tables on these examples as I do catch myself constantly on my rectangular traditional style tables - definitely going to look at getting replacements
Finding your channel just made my life a lot easier! I love how you simplify everything, nothing is over the top, everything is realistic and doable. And I love the before and after, it makes it pop in real-time. I've been in my house for a little over a year and I STILL haven't had any ideas on what to do with the living room and dining room. Or the breakfast area! Now I just have to get up the courage to send you pictures! 😅 EDIT: And the entryway!!!😅😅
DREW, YOU DO GIVE GOOD SUGGESTIONS. I LOVE THE COLOR SCHEME YOU PROPOSED AND THE LIGHT COLOR PAINT. THE RUG IS COMPLIMENTARY AND THE COFFEE TABLE IS IN STYLE. THE PENDANT LIGHT IS THE FINAL TOUCH.
Hi Drew I’ve been watching you since the almost the very beginning and I really love how you’ve blossomed into such a wonderful designer decorator. Keep growing & being you.
Once again amazing Drew. You are such a generous person to share your desugn gift with all of us. I'm sure even if your rooms didnt look exactly like the ones shown, you are able to pick out great ideas. I love the hanging lights in the second one and the picture ledges. Thank you again so much for sharing what you know.
That light fixture in the third rendering is so cool! I love how you dressed each room so cohesively. I definitely need to submit my micro living room for your help.
OMG!! Drew you are SO good at this...I love them all, but number 3 blew me away. Thank you and Thanks to all who sent in the pictures/videos for us to learn from. They are all beautiful.
It's always nice to see renderings of how you would change the space to be more functional and stylish. One thing I would add when you're explaining what/how/why you're making specific changes is to let people know how to hang a light fixture over a dining table (btw LOVE the dining room fixture you chose!). What I mean is - not everyone knows that the bottom of your light fixture should be about 3' above the table so you are adding light to the task at the table, whether it's eating or working or playing a board game. Thanks, looking forward to your next featured spaces!!!
The puck light sconce hack!! YES!! Would you believe I have successfully pulled off this hack in three different spaces of my home? Lol! It’s the best. Great video!!
As always, really enjoyed this video Drew! The last makeover was my favorite. The floor to ceiling curtains really elevate the space and that light fixture is so good!
Please, Drew, would you do some episodes on the historical charm of Storybook-style, lighting fixtures, furniture, window treatments, tile designs of the 1920s & 1930s, colors of that era, maybe Storybook-style thrifting searches...? Thank you for considering this topic of design! Love watching your channel!! So fun & creative!
Thanks Drew!!! Thanks for sharing your principles like the rounded coffee tables for smaller spaces and media console tips, really helps with translating the ideas behind these makeovers to other spaces
I love what you did with this space, it's somewhere I would love to curl up and watch a movie or read a book. I'm definitely going to look for the picture shelves and create a little gallery wall.
You are amazing! Every single thing you suggest simply and perfectly fits in and gives character to the spaces! I love how you keep as much as possible from what already exists, as this is realistic to what most people aim to do when improving a space. You have so much talent, I’ll say this twice, you’re amazing!
I crochet, and recognized the Granny Square motif right away! But I’m dying to know what the fiber is? It looks silky, so maybe a linen blend yarn. No matter-it’s beautiful for sure~
Drew you are so creative and the fact you offer your expertise for free is totally awesome. You are so kind. Merry Christmas to you, Marie and your families.
You are so TALENTED!! I loved each and every one! I have a corner fireplace in my living room with a sectional, and a dining room/kitchen open floor plan, and have moved my furniture around so much but haven’t landed on a flow that I love. I’ll be watching other videos for inspiration for sure!
Other series you could start (for the name alone): - Drew It Yourself (D.I.Y) - Just Drew It That's all I have right now, but I'm sure other commenters will help.
Kendra, I like Drew's suggestions but, for my taste, I need a pop of color. My living room is largely dark grey and I love the dark walls with the crisp white woodwork. But all the gray can feel ominous so I added coral velvet curtains (very affordable on Amazon) which livens things up and pulls a coral shade found in my printed chairs. Then I accessorized with pillows, the rug, etc. It looks amazing! So don't be afraid to add some color - and I bet the kids will love it too, as coral is very energizing. Good luck!
Not only do I love your makeover (like always), I want your fab sweater! Where on earth did you find it? I’ve never seen granny squares in neutrals. It totally works. Merry Christmas from San Dimas. 🌺

I’m sad that drew didn’t include any cat furniture for Unmole’s little living room. Having a small room is already a challenge but then trying to design a space with your pet in mind is a whole other struggle 🥲
I’m at the point where I REALLY want a cat in my life, but I live on the 4th floor without any outside access (and no balcony either, alas!), in a small flat, so making the space as cat-friendly as possible is definitely important to me! Someone I know “catified” part of his house by cutting a hole high up in the side of one built-in cupboard that comes out on top of the fridge, with a couple of staggered cat-shelves leading up to it so they can get access. This allows his cats to get up into a couple of “cat cupboards” so they have somewhere to go and hide, or (the original/main point of the design!) they could also go out onto a long shelf mounted to the side of the bulkhead stretching out into the living room with this brilliant curved cat-shelf cosy sleeping area at the end! The long shelf is the same colour as the wall to blend in and not look too obtrusive, and it gives somewhere cool and high up for them to go and survey their domain, plus it’s somewhat secluded from view from humans down below (unless you’re all the way across the room). I think cats need hidey places, as well as high up places, so I’m definitely thinking of ways to do something similar in my (much smaller) space! I don’t have any spare cupboards to sacrifice, but there’s definitely a good cat-sized space up on top of my kitchen cabinets, so I definitely want to figure out a way to make them accessible! It seems like the concept of cat-furniture is growing in popularity - searching for “cat shelves” gives loads of good ideas and products being sold as well, so so there are hopefully options 😺 This room of mine is already trying to be a kitchen, dining room, living room and office, so making it into a cat-playground adds another dimension of difficulty! 😹
I’m a huge fan of your work 😍 could you possibly share ideas for a large living space? I love your apartment/smaller home vids but want to keep that cozy feel for a larger space (high ceilings, etc) thanks!
