    I also had a full windshield and replaced it with a CanAm power flip unit that allows us to open and close for air flow. It fixed the to warm in the cab situation.

      We are considering that option as well, but we want to wait and see how it is in the fall and winter first as my hubby still wants the wiper.

      Can that be fitted with windshield wiper?

      Good question…. I’m thinking not because of the wiring…. But maybe the dealer can provide some options for a wiper to be installed?

    I have the exact same machine with BRP glass and upper doors . Is the BRP mirrors you are running mounted a special way or does it all work without any special adjustment ? Thank you .

    • @lovethat...6874
      @lovethat...6874  หลายเดือนก่อน

      The BRP mirror from the passenger side is useless because it’s blocked by the window cover… some people have used after market large mirrors to counteract this issue…

      @@lovethat...6874 I have heard the exact same thing . My Canam dealer actually recommended the Sizemik mirrors for that reason . Does your mirrors mount to the corner upper door bracket ? Thank you !

      @@MatthewJones-m2h yes… the original can am mirrors are also too small and the sizmik mirrors are a better choice

    Get the can am power flip windshield. We have it on our Commander. We can adjust ours to fully open or partially open for airflow. It's also watertight for those rainy days.

    • @lovethat...6874
      @lovethat...6874  ปีที่แล้ว

      We actually considered that type of windshield, but we opted for one with a wiper.... maybe can am could invent one with a wiper and one that opens up....

      I believe it.... the only.other alternative is.to remove the windows on hot days

      @lovethat...6874 sorry to say that won't work! We were up at the Alpine loop last year and our friends had a front windshield with no side or rear protection and they removed the windshield after a few miles on the trail. They were baking!

    My Defender with full cab 😊doesn’t seem to have the cabin heat problem that you are experiencing

    • @lovethat...6874
      @lovethat...6874  ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you have ac? I love the defenders, and they feel very comfortable. You're lucky that you don't feel the heat coming into your cab. Is yours a 3 seater? Your seats could be blocking the heat from entering the cab, maybe?

    • @julianfiacconi709
      @julianfiacconi709 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lovethat...6874 No a/c, just full cab with electric windows and window washer. Yes 3 seater, 65 inches wide. Same engine as yours; I believe the engine placement is a bit further back in the defender. The tilt out front windshield really helps keeping the air flowing thru the cabin. I think the only advantage of the Commander is the longer wheel travel suspension. However the Defender is quieter inside the cab, and you may have to go a bit slower in the really rough stuff.

    • @lovethat...6874
      @lovethat...6874  ปีที่แล้ว

      The engine being a little back would definitely help. I wish can am finds a solution because it's hot and it can get really uncomfortable, especially if one drives in the summer. Our main reason for enclosing it is to protect our can am from the elements as sadly we don't have a garage....
