The BRP mirror from the passenger side is useless because it’s blocked by the window cover… some people have used after market large mirrors to counteract this issue…

@@lovethat...6874 I have heard the exact same thing . My Canam dealer actually recommended the Sizemik mirrors for that reason . Does your mirrors mount to the corner upper door bracket ? Thank you !

@@MatthewJones-m2h yes… the original can am mirrors are also too small and the sizmik mirrors are a better choice

Oh nice! We bought it during Covid and they barely had any deals and the only warranty they offered was 6 months. There was also a $500 Covid charge due to demand… when did you buy yours? That’s great yours came with the roof!

Thank you so much! The commander XMR is a very smooth ride and comfortable too. I have a hisun atv and the seating is not as comfy as any can ams I’ve rode before. To me can am is quality and you feel it in the ride. It is loud when you’re in the vehicle but no different from riding an atv or other sxs. The sound is tolerable. If you do decide to get one you will not regret it. If you’re more of a trail rider you can always look into the XTP. But if you do trail and mud then the XMR is the way to go!

The complaint I had was the integrity of the first used Argo we bought. Overall we do love our new Argo that we replaced this one with.

To be honest, we put it away after ice fishing season and will soon be driving it again for the winter. But from what we have experienced so far, it's an awesome machine! We feel very comfortable and safe driving on the ice! I do want to drive it in the fall to get a true feel of what it can do.

We are considering that option as well, but we want to wait and see how it is in the fall and winter first as my hubby still wants the wiper.

Can that be fitted with windshield wiper?

Good question…. I’m thinking not because of the wiring…. But maybe the dealer can provide some options for a wiper to be installed?

We would have liked that one but we opted for the one with a wiper....

We measured the tire pressure, and everything was correct. We think it was the axle that was bent.

@davidbrewer7937, we returned this argo back to the dealer and bought a brand new one with a 4 year warranty. We didn't want to deal with the issues we were concerned with.

We actually considered that type of windshield, but we opted for one with a wiper.... maybe can am could invent one with a wiper and one that opens up....

@lovethat...6874 sorry to say that won't work! We were up at the Alpine loop last year and our friends had a front windshield with no side or rear protection and they removed the windshield after a few miles on the trail. They were baking!

Do you have ac? I love the defenders, and they feel very comfortable. You're lucky that you don't feel the heat coming into your cab. Is yours a 3 seater? Your seats could be blocking the heat from entering the cab, maybe?

@@lovethat...6874 No a/c, just full cab with electric windows and window washer. Yes 3 seater, 65 inches wide. Same engine as yours; I believe the engine placement is a bit further back in the defender. The tilt out front windshield really helps keeping the air flowing thru the cabin. I think the only advantage of the Commander is the longer wheel travel suspension. However the Defender is quieter inside the cab, and you may have to go a bit slower in the really rough stuff.

The engine being a little back would definitely help. I wish can am finds a solution because it's hot and it can get really uncomfortable, especially if one drives in the summer. Our main reason for enclosing it is to protect our can am from the elements as sadly we don't have a garage....

It really was!

It was a blown fuse. The dealer came back and changed the fuse, and everything seemed to be functioning better. But we will see as we drive it more... good thing is we have 5 year warranty.

My husband was a former firefighter, and it was cold that day. The snowpeak firepit had a platform to lay down on the ground, so heat stays off the ground. We were prepared if anything would have happened.

We bought some of our accessories during Black Friday on the Can am website as they had great deals. Some of them we had to order through our dealer. With that said, we waited over 5 months for the can am parts to arrive as the dealer was receiving them at different times. Our new can am wasn't even broken in yet. I will be coming up with a new video soon for all the accessories we added. Sounds like you got the glass windshield, which we ended up getting as well with the wiper. Thanks for the tip on the dawn dish liquid. I'll be sure to pack that on our trips😊

Sounds like the fuel pump needs some thicker wires and a higher amp fuse.

Lol... well, argo itself is awesome, but this particular machine came with some major disappointments 😞

It definitely is an awesome ride!

The can am outlander 1000 handles mud and water fairly well, but it's really intended more for trail riding. You're better off with the 1000 XMR as the air intake is on the front top part of the atv. The hisun 750 tactic is a decent budget vehicle but isn't as powerful. Great for trail riding and some mud. Although it's a 750cc, it's about equivalent to a 650 cc can am. If I had to do it again, I'd buy another can am all the way!

About 2 ft.... I do love my hisun, and it has rescued my husband's can am a few times it has a decent winch and tow capacity is good. Honestly, I haven't gone in deep mud before but I'm sure it would get stuck easily. The all wheel drive is pretty good on it...

@@lovethat...6874 Both Argo's the one you returned and the new one. The tires should not be inflated higher than 7 PSI. If you have the bead lock rims (both machine should have bead lock off set rims. You can run the tires as low as 1.5PSI. I run my 2021 Aurora 950SX at 2 PSI without tracks and 4.5 PSI with tracks. According to the manual, when putting the tracks on the PSI is determined by the amount of track droop. Measure between the 2nd tire and the track (the argo must be raised off the ground). Starting point is (front to rear -- PSI) 5,7,7,5. Either decrease or increase in order to achieve proper droop (which should be between 2 and 3 inches).

@nvgun40 we recently took our Argo to a dealership nearby to get maintained and they told us some things were installed incorrectly by the dealer we bought it from. So now they reinstalled all the parts that were installed incorrectly correctly now. They also inflated our tires with the right pressure…

I wish the season did start earlier, but you're absolutely right.... we were lucky to be able to get out at all as I thought we wouldn't have been able to take our permanent hut out. Where do u go for perch? I would love to go perch fishing right now... I went last year in Beaverton, but they were barely biting at that time...

@@lovethat...6874 I usually fish for Perch on Cooks Bay, Willow Beach, Virginia Beach, or Sibbalds Point. I've had some great outings this year for Perch, and I think the next 2 weeks will be great to end the season off! I've never tried going for Perch out of Beaverton, but I've always heard it's pretty good there. You should try giving Port Bolster a try, It's not too far from Beaverton.

Hey, thanks... we had originally bought the hut in a white colour but we coloured it because we couldn't see it when it was white out conditions. We did think it was the colour attracting the hut, but our friends who own a light coloured hut had the same thing happen in their spot as well the next day. So it could have been the high snow drift from the storm that caused this as temperatures warmed up. We are in a better spot, and so far, there are no slush problems now. The hut operators around here have dark green and black huts they rent out, but they've never had a problem with attracting the sun's heat. It has been a milder winter here, and our season is done in two days, sadly 😥

Changing the colour won’t make any difference, the weight of the snow will always push slush to surface . My shack is silver and does the exact same thing .
