They definitely did not want the same issues they had with the previous miniset with cards like Brann yeah

Tbf Helm would be played if there was double/tripple blood deck or if it was one blood rune.
you think so? -5/-5 for 1 less mana in priest was never played and the handbuff effect from the dk spell isn't really what control dk (that would run such removal) is looking for.
I'd rather have it be "give creatures in your hand +1/+1" or have it be 3 mana
It would be an interesting and good card if it gave -2/-2 to the entire enemy board and gave +2/+2 for enemy affected. It would be an actual good removal and would solicitate player agency to get the most out of it. It would still be weird on a triple blood DK so maybe put one blood rune on it.
@@dasdasdiamlasdasdsada9717 it's exactly what handbuff dk is looking for, it synergizes very well with Zombietank, Darkthorn Quilter and Nerubian Swarmguard
@@xen.7140 Triple Blood decks aren't going to be handbuff, specifically because they don't have access to Zombietank, Darkthorn Quilter, Amateur Puppeteer.
Besides that, a single random buff is not at all what handbuff DK is looking for. Just like how it doesn't use Harmonic Metal because the chances of hitting irrelevant minions like Miracle Salesman, Chillfallen Baron, Maw and Paw, Sickly Grimewalker, Acolyte of Death, Hematurge, Primus etc make it too inconsistent.
Meanwhile, the removal options from going double blood (This card and Soulstealer) aren't as beneficial for Handbuff as what you gain from going Rainbow (Card draw, Reska, Frost Strike, Rainbow Seamstress) or double Unholy (Plagued Grain, Battlefield Necromancer, Scourge)
For safety expert, I had a game where I drew 5 bombs in a row. Lost the game when I had like 18 cards in my deck.
I tried out Bomb Warrior. Stunning win rate of 0/8. I even lost the mirror because the cards that made the mechs cheaper ended up at the bottom of the deck. The only match I came close to winning was against Fatig Warlock. But he took 4 bombs into the harp. And at the end, with 9 bombs in a 10-card deck, he drew a card.
Perhaps if Expert cost 8 mana, the win rate would be better and the cost of Chemical Spill could be reduced to 4 mana. In general, once again they make a deck that depends on the combination of cards and which requires a lot of manacheat and falls apart because there is none.
i have a different bomb warrior deck if ur interested, im about 55% with it, only runs 2x safety experts & no other new cards, more of a control warrior tbh :)

I wanted to try something new. I got tired of control warrior even before the nerf of Odin, I don’t play with it anymore for now.
Yeah bomb warrior only worked for like 2 days. Now it gets countered by almost everything.

Pain Warlock got 2 God cards, Warrior got horse shit
Mech warrior didn’t get terrible cards, it’s just that the meta is so bad rn that it’s unplayable
Helm just needed to have some amount of targetting on its effect. Yeah, hand buff dk runs a lot of cards that like being buffed, but it still isn't 100% so you're GOING to low roll sometimes especially since you need the buff to hit for it to be a worthwhile card. Honestly, it should also have gotten the same effect of the priest spell where if you bring something to 0 attack it dies as well.
Part Scrapper should cost 0. You are already paying 2 mana for a 3 mana total discount. Just make it cost 0, remove up to 3 armor and it's essentially Preparation for mechs only.
Dorian have combo with tradeable dragon that deals 6 damage, which is easy to do and it's cheap to do.

@zakmaklak I know but you have a higher likely hood of getting dragons with less cards in deck. I didn't say empty deck I said burn through deck lol
Delayed product could go to 5 and nix the dormant part. But then it's not "delayed." So you know. Alright.
Thing is a 5 mana card that summoned a Discovered 8 or more cost minion would still just be okay.

Safety Expert needed to not cost 10 mana. Even at 8 mana the card is questionable at best probably because not only is the card expensive, but the "payoff" is also horrendously slow since the bombs can be shuffled to the bottom and not be seen until like turn 14 if you play him on turn 10.
I would even go as far as to say if he was a like 6 mana 6/6 with rush the card would STILL be bad since it requires so much synergy and a lot of decks can just heal in between bombs since they are never guaranteed to draw 6 in one turn. The better "win condition" is still the dummy imo since you can at least make an attempt at a real OTK with it.
I play in the lower ranks and you could fool me that this miniset didnt even come out, havnt noticed any new cards.

I play delayed product in my highlander priest deck, top 200 rn 😂. It’s just a spell to play to make love everlasting last longer, and you can board clear on top of it for two turns. It doesn’t do much but highlander priest passes all it’s early turns anyways which winds up overdrawing you later with ananthul, so delayed product is the perfect card to dump for no reason
Forgot standardized pack was in the game. Havent seen it once.
Safety Expert isn't good because Warlock benefits from the effect and is being played a ton. 4 out of my 5 last matches were against Seedlock in Wild. In any other game where I played Bomb Warrior I either won or came close to killing the opponent. Once Seedlock is online as Bomb Warrior you just concede because your win condition is now theirs.
Not surprised to see a DK card in here especially considering they were the class in need of most help
Zeddy I am trying to make a DK mill/plague deck work. Dorian and Pro Gamer are in my deck :) It's not going so well but it's fun when it wins. Rune restrictions are my biggest issue. :(
Problem with helm of humilation is three-fold. For context, I play a lot of handbuff DK and tried the card a bunch, too.
First problem: It hits too late. 4 mana is kinda expensive. At 4 for -4 and +4, itd be a LOT better. The card is just very clunky in an already mana intensive archetype.
Secondly: Its not really versatile. Compare it to crop rotation - its so much better due to its versatility. Gives you corpses, deals with pingable stuff, can answer both wide board and a chunky minion.
And lastly, the most damning of all: Its friggin random. Even with the first two disadvantages, if you could steer the buff, itd be a great card. But as it stands, it is liable to hit stuff like your soulstealers, primus, gold panners, barons etc. instead of your buff targets. Thats SO bad.
I think if Dust Bunny wouldnt give the Knife, it'd be a lot better. Getting a good spell is a lot better than getting a slightly discounted hero power.
You don't run Barons if you're playing 2 blood dk anyways. There's a lot more good targets than bad ones. What are the odds that it hits Primus next to Zombietank, Darkthorn Quilter and Nerubian Swarmguard. Idk, it's worked really well for me + statistically it has 58% deck winrate on hsreplay so it's not a bad card
@@xen.7140 In a handbuff deck you absolutely run barons. You need the draw.
And odds are, you hit not the thing you really want to hit. Aside from that, the card is still clunky. Regarding performance, in the handbuff list on HSreplay, Helm of Humiliation seems to be one of its worst cards, with bottom mulligan, drawn AND played winrates.
That all aside, none of the stats are really accurate. Just too few games played.
@@TheSorrowfulAngel But you can't run Barons if you're playing 2 blood dk.. Helm of Humiliation is a 2 blood card, and the other handbuff cards are plague so you need to run blood - blood - plague to play it. I'm not saying it's the optimal way to play dk, I'm saying you can't run Helm of Humiliation + Baron in handbuff dk, so there's no risk of hitting it as a wrong target.
@@xen.7140 I think you mean a different baron then, cause you certainly can run Chillfallen Baron. It's a no-rune card. It's also run in every DK deck since it was released lol

It already is. The animations and sounds are typical casino tactics. When you discover a card coins drop everywhere like a slot machine.
Safety expert has SOME potential, but warrior can do other things right now. If you AREN'T cheating it into play its REALLY bad.
I use a loot the 4 mana preast in wild, is soo good in BP
Dorian is garbage because it gets instantly removed 9/10 times ( it needs to be 2/8 like Maw and Paw at least) and also for decks where it would be useful most times you simply cannot play it because you are behind and has to react to enemy plays instead.
Haha i was playing a druid deck (from Thijs) that has a lot of this garbage in it. I didn't do very well
helm needs to be one rune and it would see play in rainbow handbuff

I think Part Scrapper is better than Zeddy gives it credit for. It loses against the meta-warping decks, but so do most decks. Mech Warrior can smorc a lot of other decks.
What the hell are people doing with the safety expert? Given i only play at diamond but i still win around 55 percent of the games. It isnt the greatest card but you can make it work.
If safety expert cost 8 maybe itd work.

standard pack has down side of armor unlike other packs. why do you discard as well. double downside
#10 Helm is just bad. It's bad removal (See how many Priest lists run their -5/-5 card that also kills if it reduces attack to 0 too... Oh right literally none use it) and the handbuff is too random to be consistent.
#9 It's not too hard to get the card to work, given that Warrior mostly revolves around spamming cards like Shield Block and Garrosh's Gift for more Shield Blocks and that totem that draws cards and gains armour. It's just that: Mech Warrior isn't particularly good... And you may as well just Chemical Spill out the big mechs you're trying to cheat out anyway.
#8 It's basically a worse "I Know a Guy". Discovering is generally better than several random and permanent cards are better than temporary (Especially when you need a taunt. If you need a taunt, you don't want to be gambling. If you have spare mana you can't use pack to find a taunt for later because you have to play it the same turn...)
#7 Is just too inconsistent. It really doesn't serve a purpose unless Miracle comes back where getting a 1 mana card or Coin can always be valuable.
#6 Has potential. Given the more frequent card tutors we've been getting recently, it's only a matter of time before some class starts abusing Dorian.
#5 Is kind of bad. Maybe if there was better 8 drops it might have a fringe chance but it's still a lot of garbage options for a slow card.
#4 Is as bad as expected. It's not consistent enough to be worth anything (Either for mill strats or just value draw)
#3 I called how bad it would be. There's just so few things to use it with right now. At best there's a couple of decks that can use 1 of the minions and the other 2 are just useless.
#2 DH just doesn't have any good DR's (Besides the weapon, but that draws half your demons on its own...).
#1 Yeah, as far as Mech Warrior goes... Just dealing 8 damage right away with Testing Dummy is far better than dealing 15 **Eventually** with Safety Expert. Thus with how Dr Boom works, you don't want to play other 5+ cost mechs besides Safety Expert.

I think there was an effort to not break the meta with the mini set and they went too far the other way. Even after the most recent nerfs the mini set cards aren't making a huge impact. Certainly nothing that will be a candidate for a nerf anytime soon

Your personal experience doesn't matter tho lol the overall numbers composed of tens of thousands of games tell the real story. One person saying they had a different experience means pretty much nothing.

I don't understand this list at all. Number 1 and 2 are both cards that see play. Absolutely bizarre.
Safety Expert literally makes mech warrior worse, that's why it's here. It's literally a more viable strategy to cut safety expert and just put part scrapper in the Testing Dummy deck from before the miniset. Bomb warrior is god awful and only makes the mech package worse... which is surprising cause that package was already bad.

The reason pro gamer isn’t played a lot isn’t because it’s bad it’s because it’s an epic 800 dust is a lot for a niche utility card

I mean completing quest on turn 1 is nice.
You get turn 1 wildpaw gnoll and obsidian shard in turn 1 in wild. Its insane mana cheat.
Not to mention that with Finley you can shuffle it back and draw 5 extra cards. It just makes an already broken class even more broken.
Its not the card that's good, but what it enables is broken.

@@LunatheDergbold It has some niche use in Weapon Rogue because it can generate extra charges for Cutlass.
Weapon Rogue is solid enough that it can get a reasonable win rate so its pack won't have awful stats.
Did they make the mini set suck on purpose since you can buy it with gold? Feels like it sometimes.
