They're bringing back spellstone for Priest, I'm feeling that they will give priest more resummon effects, wich will suck. Sylvanas will probably be played on that deck.

@@nathones I believe the frost minion that trades corpses for 2 damage pings, the taunt minion that can be re-summoned for health, and the spell that gets corpses/shuffles 2/2’s into deck. Soul stealer is the most notable.

They got rid of SO MANY Rune requirements for DK. Rainbow DK in particular now has an *enormous* tool box, especially since cards like Soulstealer can be discovered again. But I'm kinda mad at the Frostmourne "buff" All they needed to do was give it a *"Your Hero is immune while attacking"* effect , instead they arguibly made the card worse since the whole point is to kill big minions with it, which is harder now with its lower Attack 2. The buffs/updates to older cards is very suprising tbh: Twisting Nether getting rid of Locations now too is wild! Classic Ysera giving you 2 Dream Cards per activation of her effect is actually really cool And the Elusive replacing "Cannot be targeted by Spells and Hero Powers" keyword definetly helps cut down on the card text
it's way more playable as a burst damage card though, and you can still use it to kill minions, if you give it immune while attacking it just becomes an insane control tool that also has the potential to burst your opponent down, I like where it's at
@@rajkanishuhave you *seen* weapon Rogue? Even if Frostmourne had the immune effect and cost 5 it would still be underpowered compared to something like that
I really like how the Recruit keyword was introduced previously... when the word "summon" is basically a synonym for it LOL recruit should imply that a minion is being summoned from the deck. for e.g. Oaken Summons can read Recruit (4), the number in brackets being the cost (if any). A card that recruits multiple times can just read "Recruit twice".
So I'm seeing handlock AND zoolock, control warrior, miracle rogue, midrange hunter and freeze mage. That sounds like such a nostalgic and awesome meta, I might even return!
Just when I thought I was out, they reel me back in... While some of those new cards are clearly Rumble cards, they are also Warcraft 3 units. Huntress, Footman. I love that stuff. The Huntress ability is also ON POINT
It'd be cool if Ysera Awakens dealt 5 to all except herself & her minions (laughing sister and the dragon) just to prevent one card from her generation deminishing the effectiveness of others. Adds extra but niche consistency to her.
I dont know, having a neutral fireball is always powerful, many classes dont have burst damage and having that is always strong. The main reason it wouldnt see play is how strong lifegain now is but in paladin that is strong. Dont know if garden is rotating, but garden, garden leeroy shroom is 28 dmg which is sorta strong.
I don't want to ever hear Blizzards reasoning for keeping Shadowstep in the core set, I think my head would explode. But I am somewhat optimistic about some of the changes. The rune changes for DK cards opens up so much more flexibility in the class and also helps Rainbow DK a TON. The lack of Wild Growth or Nourish is surprising but I think it'll let them have more focused ramp than generic. The Dragon druid decks have essentially 2 mana wild growth on a stick, but it's conditional toward dragons so you wouldn't see it in everything and lets them focus balancing that archetype around the idea of having that ramp, but it wouldn't effect other archetypes. I also really like the Justicar inclusion, and hope that being at 5 mana allows the card to see some play. The biggest thing for me though is the Rumble cards. The teaser for the next expansion looked like it was more playful and crafty, making me wonder if the expansion isn't traditionally themed but maybe having something to do with a mashup of Warcraft products.
I've actually been running BGH in a few highlander decks over the past few days, been performing well and feels so good indeed. Hunter is one that makes good use of it IMO.
I wonder how much it would hurt Rogue if they just nerfed Shadowstep by removing the mana reduction component. It already has a function, which is letting you play powerful card like ogre gang or the excavate swiss army knife multiple times. The 2 mana cheat was a good compensation for tempo loss back in the good old days when Rogue didn't have access to all that many good battlecries. But now there are so many "I'm gonna fill my side of the board, destroy yours, fill my hand with free stuff and on the top of that, fuck your mom while at it" type of battlecries that it feels just overkill that rogue can do the same thing all over again next turn but also have 2 extra mana to spend on the top of that. Imo it would be better if it was just left to be a value card instead of both value and tempo. That would free up more space to design cool and powerful cards for rogue.
