Great Video thanks! I have Fujifilm X-T200 connected with an external mic through a behringer interface: So Camera-Interface-Mic. I am only getting sound from side of the headphones, do you know why that is?
Hi this adapter/interface is likely a stereo signal. The 3.5mm input on cameras are all mono outputs, so that would explain why you'd only hear the audio on one side of your headphones and not right down the center. Thankfully, you can easily fix this issue in post-processing using an audio tool like Audacity by converting the audio from stereo to mono.
Thanks for the video. Does anyone know whether the sound output is stereo or mono mixed stereo when using internal or external mics? Sound will be quite important to me and I really want to be able run stereo in and stereo out.
Hi Andrew, the videos record with stereo sound by default. But it depends on the microphone you use. When you attach a lavalier, it will usually default to capturing a mono signal, so you can record two subjects on each sides of the stereo field for an interview. But using say a shotgun or condenser microphone will capture stereo audio.
Hi in the Audio settings menu, make sure the wind cut and the low cut filters are turned off. Then set the Internal Microphone Level Adjustment to Manual. Then hold the camera out towards your face, like you're vlogging and then speak towards the camera. While doing that, use the d--pad to set the level so the gauge stays between -6 and -12 dB. That's pretty much it.
Hi there, i am a big fan of urs video. I do have a x-t200 camera. It would be great if u can post a video for video settings as well for x-t200. I am a new youtuber, who just post cooking videos without any voice. So would like your help in getting the video settings and audio settings for my TH-cam video. I am getting hissing sound whenever i record my cooking videos. Could you please help me in removing this hissing sound by posting videos regarding the settings ( audio and video both ) for x-t200. I have gone through this video as well. However, i have an external saramonic vmic mini, which is connected to the C type adapter. Still i get the hissing sound while taking videos. I am a new youtuber who is facing issue with the hissing sound, because my utensil noise and other noise through cooking is not coming clear due to hissing sound. Appreciate your help sir
Hi, to remove the hiss, try increasing the audio setting on your microphone. Most microphones have a switch to change the gain. If yours has that, turn it all the way up. Then head into the audio settings on the camera, and drop the microphone input sensitivity level down until the meter on the right peaks at -6 dB as you talk normally into the mic.

Will boya mm1 mic work with this?
Hi Ramdalai, yes it should work. It'll connect normally to the cameras 3.5mm microphone input. You shouldn't have any issues with Boya microphones.
Best settings for internal mic? Thanks

@@PhotographyPX Thank you so much. Appreciate it
@@PhotographyPX Do I also need to turn off the mic level limiter? Thanks

How to f-log setting in xt200?
The X-T200 doesn't have f-log support
preamp in xt200 has too mush hiss and noise, so it is nearly unusable.....
