Yes, these pads were especially difficult for most people. I had to make a whole new installation video for the alpha S because the pu leather iads are very different to install 👍

The skirting on my leather pads tore away and I finally took out the nylon ones and my god I've never been this furious at my earpads. I didn't know that the nylon skirts were this tough! You just saved so much of my time! Update: I managed to get both earpads in at first try. Stretching is Key!!
The nylon ones felt much better, though the sound quality dropped a little (barely noticeable) due to less isolation, it was definitely worth it for me, and I can hear myself better when talking which is also great!
Was struggling to put it on, after watching this got it on real flippin quick. I didnt stretch mine or anything (though from how long i was trying i might've ) so you can also just try to follow the last step if you're worried youll rip it.
What I've noticed is that the original has this thin sponge on the membrane while the replacements have no padding. I imagine this might be more uncomfortable after extended amount of time.
@@accessoryhouse i mean the membrane stretching between the big oval cushions has a bit of sponge on it in the original pads but the replacement only have the membrane so the only thing seperating the ear from hard plastic/metal case of the headphones is a super thin fabric.
Where can we order the official ear pads? HyperX doesn't seem to have them in store anymore and I don't know if third party ones will change the sound profile a lot.

If you hold the mute button for a few seconds you can hear yourself through the microphone. Really useful imo

I had 17 aneurysms and punched my chair 37 times but I did get half of one ear pad on so I think I'm doing ok.
update, broke the side of the headset trying to bend the headphones enough to fit the earpad on. RIP. Never buy from HyperX

You mean the original Pu leather ear pads are more padded compared to the nylon original pads ?
