The Making of Drone 100 | Intel

"As humans we are equipped with hope" when telling why they thought they could pull this off. Just beautiful. Art like this does give me hope for humankind.
3:47 meanwhile the fox out of woods is watching this and thinking, wtf are this humans doing? trying to breed?
New slogan: Intel Outside.
😂😂😂 very funny
📱💻📱📡📱💻💾📱📱💻☎💻📱💻OMG INTEL OUTSIDE????? 💻🎥🔊🍐🍰🍊🍪🍪📂📲📲📲📲
I'm crying fr 😂😂😂😂
+alexa mae. . . and ARM inside :).
Intel,'' Experience That's Outside''
I love how the Intel logo and sound appears, magnificent !!
Thank you intel enthusiasts everywhere ..! Merci aux passionnés d'Intel partout ..!
I thought the US Military has the highest record for ''Most Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) Airborne Simultaneously''
o
this is by far the most highest production youtube video i have ever seen
You noticed they had to do and film this outside of the USA. Thank you FAA for crushing innovation...
The FAA is going around congress with their new rule and taking in the fear more than the innovation.
Mark Lawler how about you blame the people that are abusing their drone privileges instead? You know the morons that are flying near airports and in the path of airplanes? I bet if some jackass caused a plane to crash that a friend or loved one of yours was on you'd be asking the FAA why haven't they done more.
I'm fairly sure a permit exception would have been granted, if required. Intel is an international corporation so their efforts here are centered in Europe. Probably not more complicated than that.
Just a point of interest.... Drone shows are a focal point of many Airshows now........... OSHKOSH being one of them............ Just an FYI.
The logo appears with the old sound of his signature! I have chills right now!
I've been flying drones for a few years and this is the first I've heard about people being scared or worried about drones. WTF am I missing? What are these people talking about?
Wow... just beyond wow. I'm honestly speechless. Well done +Intel! Looking forward to more technological advancement from you guys.
Intel should sell this software to the public. Can you imagine the 4th of July with a light show like this with fireworks in the background synchronized to American themed music....that would be awesome!!!!!
5 years later and they're up to 1200 drones. :) Has anyone come up with a Moore's Law for drones yet? ;)
Bravo to the Ars Electronica Team behind it and to Intel to Support this kind of Research.
The fact they put the old generation on the jingle of Intel : i can feel the chills right here, right now...
What the people there heard. 'BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ'
hahhahahha
You mean the orchestrators
absolutely the truth
Amazing Creation. Amazing People! Congratulations Intel!
brought tears of joy....
Just WOW
Everyone's excited about the lights. I'm like, imagine the kind of swarm logic they had to use to automate that whole thing.
*"I'm like, imagine the kind of swarm logic they had to use to automate that whole thing."*
Also, how many radio channels? I assumed the flight paths would have been pre-programmed into the drones having been worked out previously in computer apps, but it does look like they have controllers running the show.
@@lusoverse8710no it's mission flight paths uploaded ahead of time. No need for traditional hobby radio receivers with channels. All digital protocols to upload the path data and once the show starts they follow it autonomously and land.
At 03:36 the advert/promo gives way to the drones. Their choreographed performance must have been even more impressive up close. The video I think doesn't do them justice.
This would certainly make fireworks night allot safer.
I haven't seen this much beautiful video before..!
Astonishing indeed.
Amazing job. Just wow..
no words .......awesome guys .
This is what I imagined when I was a teen, after watching this I will try to replicate it.
"Cyka" at the end of the video.
+Egon Marić LOL
+Egon Marić
LOL
+Egon Marić He says "So geil!" it's german for "so awesome!" it sounds like "Cyka" though.
+Egon Marić This is word "Cyka" in Russian? Это как сука))
Egon Marić cyka?
Well done all. What an amazing spectacle! Incredible. The future......
Amezing... What was the flying time of each drone...!!?
does the performance remind anyone of "Close encounters of the third kind" final scene?
+jigglymabob Yes! Was just about to say that.
+jigglymabob I think that was their intention.
+jigglymabob First thing I thought too...
jigglymabob XF

well done guys! you made it!
I'd love to see that in person. That's Awesome!
Intel: Elegantly beautiful
what a idea!
Great Job

Thanks intel for making our life easy
гипер сложнейшая задача была решена.Это сравнимо, на мой взгляд, с полетом в космос к другой планете.Браво инженерам из интел!!!
No body can call you crazy.
I can see your effort.
You people are Supermen.
Om Mani Padme Hum.
U guyz are amazing... It was so beautiful....!!!!
Intel is an amazing marketer of herself. Great job.
nice work guys.
No one:
Everyone: "Now I can enjoy the view of music!"
But for Mysterio: "Lucky for you that's what I like!"
Awesome. I cannot wait to get my hands on these. The payload and the safety features seem to be matching most requirements world wide. Should make it definitely easy to fly these bad boys anywhere.
Awesome display!
The future of fireworks. I mean everything else is going green right? No more fireworks in the future
As spectacular as that was, I don't ever see fireworks going away. :)
+Jordan E The only problem is the price difference, 100 drones is about 100.000 dollars :P
+Jordan E although the drones are capable of bringing the light aspect there is something captivating about seeing something blow up , that drones can't really , affordable replace.
+Jordan E Never!
This is 'Murica, we require explosions.
+Jordan E Fireworks are getting harder to get in the UK. Various countries are already starting to limit "drones" in the sky. Some even asking pilots to register any aircraft over a certian weight ( 90g i think). Soon we won't see anything in the sky lol.
Great video, thumbs up. Cheers from Sint Maarten
Are Intel Aero Compute boards used for these drones as a flight controller board?
if u love technology as much as me u may of had a tear of joy n overwhelming feeling inside even after i watched this thanks intel u guys rock.......my world ,
That's awesome!!! Good team!!!
great video that shows the passion for success in the future
My 🎩 off Intel.... you guys are amazing 😉
It could stand to be a lot more precise. The formations aren't lined up very straight.
Totally awesome!
Great job.
Amazing work !
Hi, I saw your show at the Super Bowl and I would like to know if it’s possible to get a show like that in other cities and how much would it cost
There are light show drone companies that you can commission to do a show for you. I can't state the name of any as it would be a conflict of interest for my employer, but do your research and you'll find some. Prices depend on scale (100 vs 1000 drones) but you can expect a minimum of 10,000$. Not cheap
This is absolutely cray awesome ! Great job.
Hello.! Beautiful super video!
This is so jaw dropping.... Amazing.... Wowww
This is nothing compared to what they did for their 50th birthday! Watch it! 1500 drones.
Awesome idea & implementation. Only question is...how long can they fly before the battery dies? My best battery does 25 mins max so not sure how long you could put shows on for using this technology.
Any one knows where we can watch the entire concert ?
That was awesome!
מרשים! אשמח לצפות בקונצרט פתוח מקושט בדרונים כאלו' שינועו ויצבעו את השמים בהתאמה למוזיקה המנוגנת... Impressive! I would love to watch an open air concert with such drones decorating the sky, moving and and lightning the sky according to the played music ...
that was simply awesome.
Less than 2 years later 1,280! 🥇👍😎
Creativity level infinite
Goosebumps
Exciting innovation....
Incredible!! What an innovative thought-provoking idea!! What an awesome sight to behold and experience. I would simply LOVE to work at Intel!!
That was incredible! Just awesome.
This is insanely awesome!
great initiative, it's really amazing controlling so many drone just by little amount of pupil and large surprise.....great

Very nice!
Wow, it's amazing !!
Aerial awesomeness
Great show!!! ;)
Any info about hardware and software?
amazing show !
Its very nice. Congratultions... - 5*****
Do you have any plans for such an event with the 500 Drones in Switzerland? I'd be thrilled to see that...
drone 100 challenge. make 100 automated purpose drones, automatic ship welding drone, brush cutting drone, yard cleaner et cetra
wow ... Intel you are the best
This is amazing
I like this video
simply thats the power of technology
Awesome...
I loved it....it's great
Absurd! just beautiful!
bought tears of joy to my eyes amazing !!!
Incredible
2:47 "Rules and Reg-uh-lations"
It's not the drons that look at you. You should look at the drones. What an inspiring talk. This is definitely brilliant for intel. Showing people some light show. Must be really hard to achieve for a company who is just make plane old cpus that process almost like all of the Internet.
+Pasindu Perera lol what, old cpus?
This is amazing
It awesome, really...
Incredible...!
I guess it wasn't that fascinating since they only showed the drones for 1/3 of the time
it's full of stars
Amazing.......
