I use both Transcribe and Moises for different purposes. This is next level!! It combines both technologies. The chords and sheet music alone are a game-changer.
Just learned about Moises and stumbled across this video. I’m an ‘old guy’ and a longtime user of Transcribe! Andy Robinson is amazing, providing free updates of that for 15 years or more. I’ve offered to donate, it he has always said ‘not necessary.’ Anyway, your channel looks great and I look forward to checking out more of your content. This program, in particular, looks like it incorporates some of the things I’ve loved about Transcribe!, so plan to check it out. Thanks for you efforts!
The deal-breaker for me is the ability to separate acoustic and electric guitar. Let's say don't even need to separate them but I need to get rid of them both in the song. Will it successfully remove both types of guitar? cant predict. Neither them I think
Moises does not allow the importing of songs from TH-cam or other streaming services. The best thing to do is get an ITunes account, and save your song as an mp3 file, and save it to your desktop. Then open Moises and drag the file into Moises. Someone said there is a website somewhere that will save TH-cam songs as an mp3 file, and then you can pull it into Moises. But unfortunately, I don't know what website they are referring to.
Thank you for the video. I wonder, how is the lyric transcription on this program? I'm frustrated with Moises because the AI lyric transcription is very inaccurate, and I have to manually type in the entire song from scratch, which takes too much time and energy. I'm a vocalist so I need the lyrics to sync with the song.
Thank you for your reply. I also wonder how is the timing of the metronome on this program? Another issue I'm currently having with Moises is that there seem to be bugs in the timing of the metronome. I couldn't edit my vocals together with the audio from the original track, as the timing didn't sync up. I emailed the company, and they said they were aware of the problem and were working to fix it, but had no timeline of when that would happen. I'm trying to prepare for a live music event in late Oct, so I wonder what your experience is with the metronome in Song Master Pro? Can you edit together your instrument or vocals in sync with the timing of the audio from the original track?
@holistichealingnetwork the metronome is great. I think I understand your application but not totally if I’m honest. I don’t think of SMP as a tool that I’d use in a live application if that’s what you mean.
I’m a huge fan of Moises with the exception of their chord recognition abilities which needs a ton of work. Love that this program generates an actual chart of the tune. How would you compare Song Masters chord recognition as compared to Moises?
Bro can’t lie. This app destroys moises in every single way in my opinion. I’ve been using Moises for a a while now but ended my subscription yesterday
@@TedTalksBass cool. Definitely gonna check it out. Like I said, love the Moises app but their chord recognition feature isn’t all that great. Thanks man.
@@TedTalksBassGreat video, thanks for the intro to SM Pro! I've been using Moises for a while now but I tend to get a lot warbly and echoey stems from it. Is the sound quality of the stems better than Moises?
I’ve found that it depends on the recording. Neither one of them is perfect at it all. I’ve done ab tests and thought maybe if I got a crappy output with one it would be better on the other but found it was crappy on both
@@TedTalksBass That makes sense. Probably best to use the highest quality possible. Does SM Pro allow you to change the pitch of the stems after you separate them?
new here! im a drummer and want to get into stuff like this. what computer system should I get? I use a Chromebook right now. I'm learning more bass and piano. any help would be awesome.
Fair point. I made this video like the day I got it but if I’m to be honest every single one of them had the same quality when it comes to that. I think it depends most on the source recording.
Why go through all of the extra steps when you can do it all in one place? Also, once you export stems into a daw you lose the ability to slow them down.
Hello Ted. I'm just a beginner and I've been following you. Been some years but I'm back to Basics. You have good tips. I'm in the Blo,N.Y. and trying to get better. T. Bradley is my name show me the game like Rick James 😊.
I've never used moises, so I don't have much to compare. But this is really really dope. I have a really bad ear and a tool like this can help me learn songs so much faster.

For that Reason, Moses can keep parting the sea for the subscribing suckers. Now for the questions: Can you export stems ? What are the file types that it expects ? Can I rip directly from a CD, then separate stems ?
Loop? Moises? I myself do it all the time to learn! I hadn't learned what I did in the last months if it weren't for that feat. But Moises doesn't have the sheets, indeed.
Well...cant compare this software with Moises tbh...at least when it comes to the main purpose of Moises: separating tracks. I just tried a voice and piano song with both this software and Moises, and this software made a disaster tbh ahahaha it was all wrong and you could hear the classic weird echoed voice in the background. Moises did it almost perfectly. This software is interesting, but saying is Moises killer is just...no ahahaha
Yeah I was very curious to hear how the actual sound quality of the stems compares to those of Moises. The extra features of this program area are a game changer but if the stems are all warbly sounding like Moises has been on occasion then it offers no huge advantage to me.
@mhoff7722 the tech will definitely get there in time for both apps. Remember the early days of GPS? SMP has tools that Moises simply doesn’t have and have no plans to add.
@@TedTalksBass it will get there, yes. Separately, I have some strong feelings about Moises using the audio uploaded to train their AI voices and composition tools. It's one reason why local AI models are more appealing.

I don’t think any of them do a particularly great job of that honestly.
I have moises and I hated it the volume goes up and down the click is off
This is a great software alternative for sure!! Do you know if they plan on expanding to iPad and iPhone apps like Moises?
Not sure but Moises is out of the window for me
Yeah sir same here. I was looking for an alternative and found your channel. Thank you man! I will be subscribing and donating soon..

How easy is it to upload tunes like off TH-cam etc?
That’s what I gotta know

Hi there. There is - it isn’t perfect but it’s there. This one doesn’t transcribe lyrics using AI but will scour the web (I guess ) and adds them.
