I’ve been playing bass since 1978. Mainly classic rock. I had a period of original music in the 90s. I’ve played with a pick for most of that time. (I bloodied my Rickenbacker 4001 in 1979 from blistered fingers, started using a pick until I healed and never went back.) I could never get the hang of slapping (or pop and snap as we used to say.) Your video explained it better than watching hundreds of guys just doing it! Your instructions made me go, “Duh! THAT’S how you do it!” Thank you sir. After all these years I’ll give it a shot. I don’t have much use for it but even at my age I feel I can still learn.

Thanks for the slap lesson. You really explained the slap technic in layman's terms where it could be understood. Personally I like walking on my fret broad. Like Jamerson and Bernard Edwards. I will learn slap because there's a place for that too. Again thank you sir.
