    Thank You so much for taking your time to explain The difference in the meshes. I have done floral wreaths for a lot of years, But in the last few months got into doing mesh wreaths, to say it's been a learning experience is an understatement, I started with DT mesh, it only took 1 time to figure out that wasn't what I should use. I have learned a lot watching your videos, and now you have demystified the different meshes for me. Thank You so much for being such a generous person, and sharing your knowledge with all of us.

    I thank you so much for explaining the pros and cons of each mesh. You made it so easy to decide which ones work for certain wreaths and flowers. You didn't to share to us all. You have a membership group. So sharing means you a very sincere person. 😃

    I'm glad I came across this video. Thanks for taking the time to make it. I know that for me just getting into this, the different kinds of meshes were confusing. The fraying and mesh sticking together drives me nuts, so now I know which don't have that behavior. Lol

    I have been making some cross wreaths for cemeteries. What is the best that will hold up in weather and should they be sprayed with something and if so what is the best type of spray. Not brand but just type of spray. Or even if a wreath is going to hang out side. Thank you Lori in advance. You are so educational and the best.

    • @craftingwithhwm
      @craftingwithhwm  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Dorothy! You can use just about any mesh for outdoors because they are made to withstand the weather like Poly Jute, Metallic Deco Mesh, and many others. The only one I wouldn’t recommend for outdoors is Fabric Mesh. I don’t spray my wreaths even if I hang them outdoors because it isn’t necessary but if you would like extra protection then UV spray is a good kind. Thank you for your kind words and please remember to like and subscribe if you haven’t already. Lori

    Thank you, Lori! I needed your explanation...you are so easy to understand! I get frustrated with deciding what mesh to order. The mesh Hobby Lobby is selling at Christmas seems so thin & difficult to work with. Will poly mesh be better for wreath if ruffling?

    • @craftingwithhwm
      @craftingwithhwm  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello Kathy and you are so welcome. I’m so happy that my videos are easy to understand and it can be very frustrating when buying mesh. I stay away from Hobby Lobby mesh because of the quality and I can get better mesh for the same price at Craft Outlet and Trendy Tree. I would highly recommend those two online websites. As far as ruffling, as long as it’s not Hobby Lobby mesh or Dollar Tree mesh, I can use any of them for ruffling and poly mesh is a good one. I hope that helps. Thank you, Lori.

    Thank you so much for doing this video on what are good and not so good mesh to work with and what you can make with them. I’ve mentioned to you before that I bought 18 inch wreath frames and I’m having a really hard time trying to figure out how many rolls of wreath I need to fill the frame up. I have the Dollar store frame and I have the ones like you have. I bought mesh to go with the video’s I watched you make but I’m racking my brain trying to figure out if I have enough rolls or not. How do you know how many rolls to buy with a frame? After I’m done using these 18 inch frames I’m going with what size you use. Also do you sale like a package material of whatever project your working on? I love so many of the things you make and there so very beautiful.

    • @craftingwithhwm
      @craftingwithhwm  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Judy! You are very welcome and I did respond to your previous comments and answered your questions about using the 18” frame. Hopefully you can go back and read them. For that size frame, you’re going to need 2 1/2 rolls of mesh so you would need 3 rolls if they are 10 yards each which the majority are. I do sell Wreath Kits for the wreaths I make and they include the Work Wreath that come with the ties, mesh, ribbon, and sign. They are all $42. Here is the link to my website and I sell signs, mesh, ribbon, and much more. hardworkingmomstore.com/. My Wreath Kits sell fast so make sure you’re signed up to receive text message alerts every time I list new kits and go live. Just text “live” to 864-465-8401. Thank you for watching, Lori.

    • @craftingwithhwm
      @craftingwithhwm  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Angela! I’m happy the video was helpful for you and I use the Splatter mesh as an accent by cutting it 10” long and ruffling it. I do that last after I put the ribbon tails on. I hope that helps. Thank you for watching, Lori.

    Hello
    I was just trying to figure out how much Deco Mesh would I need to a 14" wreath frame using the method where you roll it on one end the the other then gather it. And using say 10 or 15 inch of Deco Mesh?
    Also, can't wait for my order to arrive I so excited. I order a sign & a box ribbon.

    • @craftingwithhwm
      @craftingwithhwm  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Dorothy! If you wanted to make a Woodland Ruffle then you would cut your mesh at 30” to 35” long. I use 18 ties for a 14” wreath frame and end up needing one and a half rolls of mesh that is 10” wide. I hope that helps and excited for you to receive your order. Thank you so much, Lori.

    Lori, even though this information video is two years, I am seeing it for the first time and I am not comfortable with knowing which to use. As a newby, I am trying to learn everything I can. However, I am not real happy with deco mesh. Dollar Tree mesh is a total no-no. I hate the fraying. So I think I am going to focus on grapevines.
    However I have a customer who wants a military wreath and a college wreath. Do you mind recommending a mesh for these projects?

      Hi Margie! I’m glad the video was helpful and as long as you use Craig Bachman mesh, you won’t have very much fraying at all. It doesn’t even compare to Dollar Tree mesh. Hi Kimberly! I’m sorry to hear about your strokes and even though I don’t recommend Dollar Tree Mesh, I would recommend the Woodland Ruffle. You curl the edges above 4 times and then ruffle the middle. Use a chip clip to hold the curl on one side while you do the other. I also created a Ruffle Tool for anyone that struggles with hand issues because it doesn’t put strain on your fingers and hands.
