There is a correction here, I dont know if Angkor wat is dedicated to Shri Vishnu, but the "Moat" around it has thousands of Shivlinga in them thus in a way with aim that the water in the moat will bring fertility to land where its poured. My assumption is that Angkor Wat is dedicated to the Three supreme gods Brahma Vishnu and Shiva
Thanks so much for sharing your insights! 🙏 You’re absolutely right-Angkor Wat’s symbolism is complex. While it's mainly dedicated to Vishnu, the Shivlingas around the moat could indeed honor Shiva too, possibly representing all three gods, as you suggested. Great perspective, thanks for adding to the discussion!
@@ExploreThePastt Also some of the small river and riverlets around the complex, there are lot of shivling carved in the riverbed, its supposed to be that the water that moves through the Shivlings are suppored to bring fertility to the soil and hence better production of crops. I might also suggest (if you can, then watch some videos of Praveen Mohan who also has his own views, coould be that based on that you might have more views, perhaps observing something that everyone missed)
