Rebuilding one of my Viair 444C air compressor connected to my Accuair Elevel in my 1961 Lincoln Continental after it overheated and melted some wires.
Im rebuilding my 400c compressor as well. It didnt want to run at all. When I took the motor housing off I blew out the motor with air. It seemed to have lots of carbon dust built up in there. Runs great now.
My Viair 444c compressor is leaking air from intake/filter end...!? Replaced the check valve because it was stuck open, rechecked and still leaking from the compressor filter/intake end
Mine was doing that too. My guess is the piston is letting air past the ring going out of the compressor filter. My compressor won’t build pressure and I’m guessing it’s because of the piston ring isn’t sealing.
