👍Great video. Thanks for sharing! I appreciate a guy that can use hand tools for a small job instead of 20V impact drivers! 🤣. I just did a driver’s door actuator on a 2018 5th Gen 4Runner. Same procedure. I knew the actuator failed because I didn’t get the confirmation beep when trying to lock the doors with the remote. Tip: Save yourself $$$$$ and just replace the small (about $5 motor from Amazon inside the actuator) by taking the actuator housing apart. (No soldering required. Motor just pushes in). Part #FC-280PC-22125 (10mm, flat shaft). Also: To easily align door key bolt with the actuator, First step, pop off the plastic plug on the rear edge of the door frame and unscrew the Torx head (bolt won’t fall out, it’s held captive), thus allowing the key bolt to pull straight out from the outside of the door. Then reinstall the lock bolt and tighten the Torx screw as the last step for reassembly. Good luck.

Did you get yourself a newer 4Runner to play with? They are nice rigs that are capable and get surprisingly good mpg for their size. Step sister bought herself a 98 back when it was new and was complaining it only got 19mpg in town, she was used to her 90s Honda that would get 27 to 33 in town 🤣 The late 90s version like hers was a really good looking truck with a powerful V6 and that's the style I'd get if I ever bought one. The newer ones just have too much crap sticking out all over the body and just don't look as clean to me but pretty sure they're still pretty much the same drive train with improvements over the years. @@TheGasTap Really might want to consider getting one, they are decent rigs. You can have your toy rigs and the general purpose family truckster. I used to daily a 95 Neon highline coupe and I really liked that pos. It handled and stopped well and got reasonable mpg. Only reason I gave up on it was it had a badly damaged door frame so I couldn't align it right then it shredded the timing belt at just before 190k. I have my 06 Charger RT to daily now but I sure miss 19mpg in town.
