Yes these are no Trends. These are cycles. I always have been worn wide trousers, no matter if cargo, pleated wide trousers or baggy jeans, with tight Shirts or slim hoodies and it is always nice and a bit 90's.

I think the birkenstock will forever been a staple for young -- particularly the Arizona and the waxed oil bostons. In terms of New balance you make a solid point. Personally speaking I think Birkenstocks and made in the US new balance models will always be in my wardrobe, but maybe adapted into different ways to what they're done now.
Samba, gazelle, German Army Trainer (GAT), stan smith, and chuck taylors are timeless shoes. Hype will die down from time to time but these shoes will always be the best sneakers.
Air Force 1s, Jordan 1s, adidas shell toe, timberland boots, air max 95, bluestone boots, dunks, etc……. Many shoes will always be timeless, sometimes they’ll be trendier than other times but they’ll always be in style because there timeless.

I never got into the Adidas Samba trend. My favorite Adidas are the Stan Smiths and even though they fell out of what’s considered trendy fashion, I still wear them
One of the reasons trends die is that eventually all the people that get on the hype got the item, make content around it, then they have to make new content that isn’t around what they previously made. A lot of this is also felt more online. It def translates over to the “real” world but that depends on where you live.
NB is an interesting case. I think lot of people look at the death of the 550 and 2002r hype and want to say the brand is dead. Has anyone forgotten about the 9060? GRs with crazy high stock are selling out on multiple websites in a matter of hours. Collaborations are still crazy hyped, anything from Kith, any non 550 ALD, Bodega, JFG, and even Palace with the 991s that just came out are very hard to get and sell fairly well on the resell market. The 550 and 2002r trend is over, but new NB models have taken their place.
Tbh I wouldn't mind NB hype to die, although it is cool seeing major pubs covering them,I kinda want to go back to the time when the 1500 was the it NB shoe
To me, I think new balance is getting stronger but for a different reason 😂 Their rove, 1060, and other running shoe lines are getting more popular than ever. They are usually listed in most comfortable lists and... Well once you try them on its usually a for sure buy
First - I love Harry’s videos. As someone who’s into fashion style remember to not get too worried about this stuff. It varies from location and age as well and things take ages to change. I’m mid 30’s so the baggy cargos have never been for me, but it’s trendy with the folk in their 20’s and will be around for a long time. But for my age I prefer relaxed fit trouser. Same with new balance, it’s everywhere on style blogs but in UK the hot shoe is dunks, it’s like uniform and apparently they have been written of as not trending for years now, but they are still sky high price wise and difficult to buy. This is all subjective, sambas as well are still difficult to buy, my friend can’t get a size 5 and has been looking for months. Wear what makes you feel good.
I never understood wearing a type of shoe (and colorway) because it is trendy. I feel like you stand out less as an individual by wearing the same stuff everyone else has on.
The extent I care about fashion trends is that when a style of clothing I already wear or going to buy anyways becomes trendy suddenly you have more options as to where to buy a quality piece and you get steals and have more selection.
5:38 Right!! I have always thought that Regular fit is something that everyone should pursue and stick to, both comfortable and timeless. The trend of clothes that are too loose and are getting bigger and bigger in recent times has made me feel that people are trying too hard and are not comfortable with themselves.
Am I the only person who likes to see things that I love going out of trend , personally everyone wearing the same thing is boring so when that item goes out of trend I can wear them and be different from the majority and enjoy my personal style to the fullest without falling into the "norm"
Lol I have had Birkenstocks on my feet for over a decade and that's not going to stop anytime soon. It's also funny because I used to always wear Samba's and stopped probably about 3 or 4 years ago... trends are interesting to follow, but don't have to dictate your wardrobe. Wear what inspires you and makes you feel confident! Video was overall a fun watch :)
In the past two months, I have exclusively worn pleated trousers. Any top I wear with it gives me a sheik look. For all my buff bros who are struggling to find good trousers, please give the pleated trousers a try. They will change your life.
Sambas are SO timeless …. just like Chucks. If they’re reaching the tailend of the “latest trends” then it’s actually a good thing because not everyone & their mother will be rocking them. 😊
I agree with you on all the points you mentioned especially baggy clothes and cargo pants i think this trends must die but I have to disagree with on the new balance shoes
while buyers can find bargain when a particular trend slow down/saturated , the manufacturer will respond by cutting/stopping production, limiting options available.
I love sambas.. fell in love with it way back in HS, year 1997.. sucks how people see it only as a trend, for me its a lifestyle.. been wearing it since and will continue to do so, even though the so called ‘trend’ dies out..
I’ve been wearing new balance since middle school now I just graduated college and i plan on continuing to wear new balances because they are one of my favorite brands, I really hate this whole trend thing it just makes everyone that hops on it a follower like be yourself get what you like don’t chase clout because it steers you away from your main focus
Trends have their positives too. They can help introduce people to new styles and also help people get into fashion. I don’t advise people chase trends and stop wearing what they like just to fit in or stay relevant. Then again, it’s purely down to the individual. People are all different
I love adidas classic sneakers, I’ve had a pair of campus since 2018, they came back as a trend but I’ll definitely will continue to wear the crap out of them 😂, glad I don’t base my style on trends edit: same with birkenstocks, have my pair of arizonas since 2021, so comfy, great for quick errands and at home as well
Is it still possible to find the classic Campus? I had them throughout high school and university... but never saw them again (only some new styles that I don’t like)
Don’t stop wearing them if you like them and they may not go out of trend. This is just my opinion. Anyway, People do wear things that aren’t trending too.l and that’s how you stand oit
Hey that's why I will never stop wearing my new balances. I really like their comfort and how they look, even if they became "outdated" after this trend, I will still rock them on the street.
Unpopular opinion, but I'm more likely to purchase something if it's a little off trend. And NEVER, EVER wear something that you don't personally like, just to chase trends. That's a needy, soulless existence.
i think right now the trend is gonna be that there is no trend. let me explain, we have gone through all the phases of relaxed, skinny, and slim outfits in the past 10 years that now we have seen what we like and dont like we will be able to stick with what fits with us the most. Their still will be trends but trends wont be as worn or loved as they were before. Jordans are going down, dunks are going down, sambas are going down, new balance are going down. And vintage is going down a little bit, high fashion has been going down. so i believe we are going to be on a "trend break" for a bit.
Thats interesting and I have been thinking the same thing. In such short time, pretty much everything has gotten ridiculed and I’m curious to see whats next
I've been wearing sambas for like 20 years.. had the cleats when I was a kid.. prefer the Spezial.. I'm still gonna keep wearing them.. didnt realize they were trending lol
Adidas has always been bad at maintaining the trend of their sneakers by focusing too much on short term profits. The NMD used to be the most hyped sneaker in 2017, and you had to raffle for every nmd drop, but shortly after that Adidas filled the market with as much stock as possible and killed the hyped eventually. And it is looked like its happening to the samba again
Really? I went to multiple stores (Trinoma, Magnolia, UP town, etc) and they all said they don't carry them. Just went online for a pair of Sambarose instead.
All of these are right. I had a pair of Sambas a few years ago. I wore them everywhere for years. Then one day I looked at them and said, "thanks for the memories" and threw them away. Glad I never bought NBs
I definitely got caught up in the New Balance hype. I bought the 2002R, 990v4, and 991. They're just a bit too chunky for my taste. I'm back to my plain minimalist white low sneakers.
i'm glad the Sambas trend fell off, i could finally cop them easily in both black and white since my 10 year old Sambas that i bought from a thrift store is starting to fall off lmao. and relaxed fits are perfect for those living in the tropics (like me).
Cool vid my man! Couple of notes. On the Birks, you start talkiing about Birkenstocks in general - the brand - but end up takling about the Bostons in particular, however that's one model. Is it the brand, or the hype regarding mules in general you are really talking about? If the former, got any suggestions for quality sandals? If the latter, it would implicate all the other brands as well hopping on the mule trend, and open a whole new domain of discussion. Next, I would love to see you do some type of meta-reflection upon the trend cycles, rather than merely watch a lot of social media, and reporting therefrom. Is it not obviously clear by now that we have reached a sort of hyper-consumerist hamster wheel regarding trends (not an original insight by any strech of the imagination)? You have people ernestly speaking of the "quality, versatility, and timelessness" of certain pieces one month - especially on social media - and then you never see them wearing it again because they have hopped on to the next trend upon hitting the next month. I don't mind trends, a great way to get new ideas in some sense, but right now I think this is the main question within the fashion sphere: is it not obvious that we are getting indoctrinated by social media (and commercialism in general) - as the trend cycle wheel is turning faster and faster, just like the videos on tiktok and insta - turning everyone into hyper consumers running within that enclosed wheel? I see a lot of decently intelligent people buying into this (myself included at times) with the mere proviso that we should all develop our "personal style" as well, but what does that really mean?
I live in Florence (Italy) and i’m not so sure that NB is going to fall out. In the last 6 months, the brand has been growing very fast here, the 550s have complitely replaced the air force 1s! I think that NB is going to secure their place in the sneakers game, it will not be the “dad brand” anymore, but another brand alongside Adidas and Nike. I’m very happy with this, because they deserve it, considering the higher quality of their shoes, compared to Nike ones.
@@HarryHas you said something about ALD making NBs cool and, while it did in a mainstream sense, I think another equally important factor is that it's already been considered cool from back in the streetwear era of the early to late 2010s. Sure the conversation around NBs back then were always divisive: you either loved them or you hated them, but I think even those that hated their shoes still respected NB to a certain extent. Other than those who like the dadcore aesthetic of the 574/530/etc, there are also those who appreciate how they've always had cool collabs (e.g. see literally any NB x CNCPTS 998 collabs, my personal favorite being "C-Note") and that they can make cool, non-dadcore shoes if they wanted (e.g. NB 247 Luxe). I think without this foundation, the ALD 550s wouldn't have made such a splash in the current minimalist era.
You are right Harry, the 'Hype' of Samba will die soon, just like Ultra boost hype prior few years ago, but on in other hand, I can foresee that the place of Samba and UB will transform. it's not about Hype anymore and I'm glad to see that happen. Yes, the supply of sam's and UB's exceeds than the demand right now. It depends on Adidas's decision. I can tell Sam's will turn to be a norm shoes like Superstar and Stan's, And that is the thing it should be. UB's will be the Air max 1 of this era, let's see for ten years later. It's a long long run.
Sambas have been my go to sneaker long before they came back in style and they will continue to be my sneaker long after. Don't let trends dictate your own style. Be you!
Harry 👌 your videos since you started have grown so so much. As a Londoner your observations are actually spot on. Some very very hot takes in this video for sure, but you’ve always stayed true to what you like and keep the posers in line. Respect.

videos like this are what actually make a trend die, just my view. Think about it. though the creator says they have nothing against the product, would u buy a samba now, and if enough creators do such videos it will influence new buyers choices.
In the UK sambas are never going out...maybe not London, but Up Norf, OG adidas silhouettes have been on feet since the 70's. Sambas, gazelles, campus, terrace culture doesn't change much *never been a fad or fast fashion...snail fashion!
wait, people struggled buying sambas at one point? huh, i always saw them in stores and out and about. theyve always been my reliable throw it on sneaker also, pretty sure jack harlo tanked the stock of new balance
i've always liked cargo trousers more than any other options. just always thought that they look better then standart blue jeans or chinos, never cared about how trendy they are
I like it when something I love goes out of style. Then it becomes cheaper and easier to obtain. For example, I'm so glad that I can actually get Jordan 1s without paying resale!
What trend do you think will die next?
I hope that flat shoes and fitted clothing goes next, so we can get a short 2000's scating trend with the big shoes and everything.
i think the überpopularity of white sneakers will eventually fade out, starting this year

I've been wearing sambas for like 20 years.. had the cleats when I was a kid.. prefer the Spezial.. I'm still gonna keep wearing them.. didnt realize they were trending lol
I reckon the Onitsuka Tiger will be the next big thing, in particular the Mexico 66 silhouette
Isn’t it already? Secondary to sambas
How are those different from the Asics Japan S? Honestly asking
I like em, but don't love them. The Sambas are too flat for my flat feet. NB are so comfy. I wore them for years but I've moved along...
honestly sambas are gonna be that rare shoe people will want back but will struggle to buy
Classics go never out of style, just don't follow the herd.
I dont imagine these shoes fill fade away. There is a reason why the shoe has been around since the 60s
All the low adidas's (sambas, gazelles, jeans etc.) have been around for ages and wont go anywhere soon. Just the hype will die
Timberland boots never goes out of style and also any white sneakers!
Sambas just got released here in the Philippines. It sold out. It's still peaking here.
Really? I went to multiple stores (Trinoma, Magnolia, UP town, etc) and they all said they don't carry them. Just went online for a pair of Sambarose instead.
Hi Harry, nice video!! In Brazil we have the huge hype with Veja Shoes, have you been seen then in england too?
We have them in England. They are very popular with certain styles. Not really something I’m into personally though.
I'm back to my plain minimalist white low sneakers.
i'm glad the Sambas trend fell off, i could finally cop them easily in both black and white since my 10 year old Sambas that i bought from a thrift store is starting to fall off lmao. and relaxed fits are perfect for those living in the tropics (like me).
i don't know why, i never hated any particular trend, BUT I'M SO SICK OF SEEING CARGO PANTS. i've never felt this way before, LOL!
almost spat my coffee out at the "see ya later" 😂
😉
i can’t stop wearing my black leather boston birkenstock clogs tho 🤠🖤 it gives me the timeless comfort i need
Leave the sambas alone
Not me getting on trends just as they're about to die smh
The Samba has been in and out of fashion like 5 times since I was a kid
That’s trends for you!
@@HarryHas I was just about to buy a new pair....guess I'll get on it
I live in Florence (Italy) and i’m not so sure that NB is going to fall out.
I think they have definitely secured a name for themselves but I just feel the hype is starting too cool down on them
i’m from italy too, and i agree: i noticed the same things and i really hope they will become the third stable additional option to adidas and nike
Love you videos and reviews style. My fav
Appreciate it dude. Thank you
You are right Harry, the 'Hype' of Samba will die soon, just like Ultra boost hype prior few years ago, but on in other hand, I can foresee that the place of Samba and UB will transform. it's not about Hype anymore and I'm glad to see that happen.
I think the Samba have always been a norm shoe really. It was just a different crowd wearing them
While on the subject of brands copying, what are A&F on? LOL they need to calm it down.
Black tees and basic pair of dark blue 511 are eternal.
Out of trend or in trend I don’t buy because of that I have worn this type of shoes for years
Sambas have been my go to sneaker long before they came back in style and they will continue to be my sneaker long after. Don't let trends dictate your own style. Be you!
Samba and Stan Smith are classic and for me always in trend😂😂😂😂
Harry 👌 your videos since you started have grown so so much. As a Londoner your observations are actually spot on. Some very very hot takes in this video for sure, but you’ve always stayed true to what you like and keep the posers in line. Respect.
Ahh mate. Thanks so much. It’s always lovely to hear that. When putting out videos and working on them on your own, you can’t help but be really critical of your own work. Appreciate the feedback and cheers for the continued support. 🙏 Have a good weekend, mate
@@HarryHas My Pleasure dude, I can imagine the critical voice is always there, but rest assured you're an insightful creator! Also wishing you a pleasent weekend man.
Unsymmetrical jeans are really in right now. One leg is skinny the other one baggy. Big look in Miami
cargo trousers joke... dude, I almost spat out coffee xD
NBs 1906s and 610s continue to sell out. Even general releases. Not sure if they are dying at the moment.
This is about trends that will die soon. Doesn’t have to be right now. I think the hype has 100% died down on them already though.
videos like this are what actually make a trend die, just my view.
The trend will die out, but as I said, they are a classic and the shoe will always have a place in fashion
@@HarryHas 🫡
wait, people struggled buying sambas at one point? huh, i always saw them in stores and out and about. theyve always been my reliable throw it on sneaker
also, pretty sure jack harlo tanked the stock of new balance
who cares about "trends", wear whatever you want...
i've always liked cargo trousers more than any other options. just always thought that they look better then standart blue jeans or chinos, never cared about how trendy they are
🤟🤟
samba has always been a classic
I like it when something I love goes out of style. Then it becomes cheaper and easier to obtain. For example, I'm so glad that I can actually get Jordan 1s without paying resale!
Yeah it’s always a pain when something you love goes on trend. Definitely makes it harder to get hold of
ya it also becomes more unique because most people wearing em didn't rock with em like that anyway, was in it for the trend
