I find it absolutely incredible how exponentially your video quality has improved over such a short time. Keep the videos coming, I love them so much. Merry Christmas from Germany
Transparent layers are a powerful tool for layering. I've already seen similar opinions on one of Giorgio Sanzio's videos and I expect heavier (e.g. knit) layers of transparency towards winter, but I think the sheer fabrics do it better for spring. They're especially well-fit for the season because opaque layers focus your entire appearance on the front and the bottom of the outfit, where different stiffness and length can stack your clothing in different ways. Transparent layers give way for the entire silhouette of your lower layers to express itself, and I feel they also give for interesting transitional effects in styles that adhere to a single palette. Unfortunately, consumers with no fashion experience will end up purchasing transparent bottom/middle layers without properly adjusting for that effect. Sheer clothing in menswear may find itself with a worse reputation in the mid to long term - similar to oversize suits.
Well stated, thank you for sharing this. The 'transitional' effects you mentioned are most interesting to me, especially as it relates to how color can change when you lay one over another through semi-transparent layers!
Your #1 fan here. Oversized clothes are more comfortable and always classy. I just don't get the short-shorts though. It's definitely not something one can wear to work. Even worse is the cropped polos. 90% of men would not be able to wear it because not everyone is fit to show off toned midriff. One with beer belly won't be able to pull it off. I had to laugh at the pointy shoulder purple polo knit shirt. Love, love, love Junya Watanabe patched jacket! Someone will wear it at the Oscar. Peter, you should do a review of Oscar fashion for men.
Really looking forward to the fella on the streets who cares not about exercising caution wearing billowy, floral patterned, organza short shorts and a neon polo T! 👏Seriously though, I like it when there’s more color in menswear.
A catwalk show and what the buyers buy for shops are different things. As they said at Wimbledon many years ago, if shorts get any shorter they won’t be worn any longer
That's true. What designers send down runways is often different from what buyers choose as the ready-to-wear versions. But the essence of what we saw on the catwalks will certainly filter down to the options we'll find on the racks come spring.
Definitely not a fan of baggy and billowy cuts. As a really short guy, it makes me look like a boy playing dress up with his father's wardrobe. Between the gym and long distance running training, I've been rocking 3-5 in inseams for over a decade now. If my shorts don't expose at least half my thighs, they're too long. 🤣
I find loose/billow clothing Very comfortable. Being taller (6’4) makes everything labeled oversized look normal sized on me. I remember how hard it was to find looser clothing at the height of the slim/skinny 2010’s era. I’m happy everything skinny to wide exists at the same time currently.
I'm curious if you there are specific brands that work well for your height? I'm short (5'8") so I envy those taller than me but I also recognize that being tall is probably often just as challenging for finding clothes that fit well off the rack.
@PetersPrism it’s the worse finding quality garments for my build. I take my time and i use eBay/poshmark for the traditional stuff like vintage brooks bros OCBDs, ties, Made in USA loafers, and plain designer belts. Then for contemporary stuff I go acne studios, RRL, Dries, RAEY (R.i.p Matchesfashion), Eytys, Jil Sander+, and Supreme. Everything I want gets wishlist’d and bought on sale; really solidifies if i want the item or not by the time it gets put on sale. Funny enough, i envied everyone under 6’ for the longest because anything can fit them with tailoring or sizing down. Taking my measurements and really being honest with myself/body type helped me realize i can like fashion and appreciate everything not for me without feeling bad cause i can’t buy into it.
The designers constantly need to come up with some shocking design to be noticed. What people will actually end up wearing is a modified version of the runway look. Most people can't pull off these designs.....besides, they are expensive. I believe in good quality classic designs.
I'm feeling old, with this 'nostalgia' fashion now being based on trends from when I was born! Have a great Christmas break Peter 🎄
Thank you and happy holidays to you as well! For me it feels like the cycle between trends gets shorter and shorter every year 🥲
@PetersPrism Does this mean that eventually trends will be entirely new and not seen before? 🤔 Something to think about I guess!

Loving the insights. Interested to see how this trickles down to our retail experience!
Same! Shopping for next spring will be interesting for sure 😀
Excellent video! I’m a huge fan of colors and patterns.
Same! Sometimes when I'm shopping I'm surprised at how little there is in terms of bright and bold color and pattern offerings for men.

Noted!

It's kind of crazy how little there is of bright, bold, or fun color there is in so much of men's fashion!

I think so too!
I am also not ready for pointed purple shoulders 😂 great video as always
Appreciate your tuning in. Thank you for your support!

The grass is always greener!
Polo shirts are fire with correct length shorts for an individuals body is always fire 😊
No skipping leg days, boys. Time to build some quads.
Let's goooo 💪
Peter, dude, you are super handsome!
Although i'm short (172cm) my legs are long. And skinny 😢😢 so I'm a big fan of loose, billowy trousers.
You are lucky you have long legs!
Love the videos, whats up with the AI thumbnail ?
Thank you! lol just something I've wanted to try out
New generations couldn't come up with fashion and style of their own, they just copy and recycle style from older generation.
Everything is a remix!
@@PetersPrism check out the brands rier, bibliotherk and omar afridi.
LOVE the vibe at Omar Afridi! It's somewhat reminiscent of Cloak, if you remember that brand from the early 2000s.
It all awful !!!
😢
