Thank you for making the world safer my good man... (I'm currently going threw the same process) This will be alot of help when the parts get here though!!
I am a Japanese BENELLI shooting user M4 is a good gun I also use Japanese price is $ 3300 There are few BENELLI parts in Japan Thank you for the good video From Japan
I found all you need to remove the pin for the trigger assembly is the bottom of a shotgun shell. The small 1/16" movement with the shotgun shell pushes the pin enough for you to grab it and pull the captured pin out the remove the trigger assembly.
Yea it really is. I'm not an expert, but I think it was more of a protectionist piece of legislation to help out American manufacturers. It makes no logical sense otherwise.
I wanted to buy a benelli m4 1107 model that is special edition with an american flag on the side and it has a collapsible stock on it and its pinned. I wanted to know how many parts does it need to be made in usa on it if i wanted to swap out the 5 round mag tube for a 7 round mag tube?
Nice video. I have to do all this to my stuff here in the next few weeks. Picked it up across the river over at Whittaker Guns. Not sure if you've been or been lately. Great gun store and the new building they are moving into is awesome.
Did your standard length mag tube work and feed reliably with the factory Benelli M4 spring it came with out of the box? Or does it need the longer spring. I know there are factory longer springs but I read it works with the spring it comes with. I’m doing the same conversion but want to know if I need a new spring or not. Thank you
Just to clarify, am I correct (as someone else here said) in that a US made Mag tube being 922r compliment? Otherwise I need to buy a US made fore end. I have seen the American made Italian clones for around $50. Thanks for video.
You are already in compliance with 922(r) because you have the full length mag tube. Unless your full lenght mag tube is not made in the U.S. Mag tube counts as 1 part when replaced with U.S. one. 14 parts - mag tube, follower, forend, trigger = 10 parts.
My question is how they determine where the parts are made I have multiple weapons with spare parts kits and none of the parts are marked with any symbols or markings from origin countries it would be hard for them to distinguish between a US made spring and an Italian one...
I have wondered that myself! I am not aware of federal regulation stating you must maintain certificate of origin on the parts. So you can probably just say you machined it yourself in the USA. I don’t have to worry about it anymore because I lost all my guns in a tragic boating accident.
Hey man thanks for the video! I could really use your help. I just got the 2 pieces for the collapsable stock 'grip & stock'. But it looks like the steel rod that the buttstock goes onto doesn't have any other notches except for only one at the rear. Did yours have the 3 notches on that bar?
Benelli M4 11715 owner here. The proper stock tube for the collapsible stock should have two indicator lines on the top and three deep notches. These allow the stock to collapse, or be in the intermediate position, full extension position and one is a take down notch to remove the stock. If your stock tube doesn't have them or only has one position (full extended) it isnt set up to collapse. Benelli made a commemorative edition for the M1014. It features the skeletonized stock but the stock tube only works for the full extended position (i.e. doesn't collapse) sounds like that may be what your stock tube is.
I dont think benelli puts the same stock tube on the m4 that they use to, I know you can now buy the m4 with the collapsing stock but it does not collapse, it is fixed to the far rear position and does not have the other notches needed for collapsing stock, so I'm assuming the newer m4 with regular stock has the same stock tube. I have a collapsing stock and older stock tube but I bought my my at the beginning of 2012.
I saw another video and it looks like the orange O-ring was taken off the old follower and put on the new one. I am still waiting for my M4 to be delivered that I ordered last week so I can't confirm or deny this for you. May want to check that out. Hope you still have the old follower of this turns out to be true. Thanks for the video. Definitely picked up some pointers.
You must have the M1014 model. It uses the fixed choke barrel used by the military. You can send it to a company like Briley and have it threaded for interchangeable choke tubes. Be aware, some people have issues with choke tubes loosening while they shoot. Grease usually helps hold them in place, stopping them from seizing in place and stops rust. The part of the barrel where the choke tube goes is not chrome lined.
922r is the dumbest shit… definitely up there with the nfa . do you still shoot this or have you moved to a different shotgun for competition? Great video btw especially for being 5yrs old!!
You really don't need to do any of this. No body will ever get a warrant to search any gun do be "complaint". If you're doing these mods on camera just say they're US made.
Try and find an otherwise law- abiding citizen that's been prosecuted for violating this law. Nearly every 3-gun competitor violates this law with their M2. I've never seen the ATF come down on any of them. Waste of your time and money.
I actually wrote the ATF and they responded after MONTHS stating it applies even to simply being in possession of the firearm. So has nothing to do with competition and everything to do with a stupid law.
New drinking game. It's called, "Common Sense Gun Laws."
Thank you for making the world safer my good man... (I'm currently going threw the same process) This will be alot of help when the parts get here though!!
Thanks for making this video. You made it simple to follow and easy to understand.

From Japan
It was my favorite shotgun! So sad I lost it in a tragic boating accident.
I found all you need to remove the pin for the trigger assembly is the bottom of a shotgun shell. The small 1/16" movement with the shotgun shell pushes the pin enough for you to grab it and pull the captured pin out the remove the trigger assembly.
Does it matter if I buy a non pistol grip M4? Do I still need to follow 922R rules? This S is so confusing.
Excellent video. Thanks for the taking the time.
Thank for posting this video.
سلام . آیا تفنگ بنلی ام ۴ میشه قنداقش را باز کنیم بدون قنداق تیر بزنیم ؟❤
922R compliance is by far one of the dumbest gun laws of all times. I have my benelli m4 set up like an American patriot.
Yea it really is. I'm not an expert, but I think it was more of a protectionist piece of legislation to help out American manufacturers. It makes no logical sense otherwise.
You are the man!
@@jonathanrobertson3406 The sun will probably go supernova before anyone diasembles my m4 checking if its US compliant.

Kosta Poulopoulos sorry for delayed response. But the factory spring has given me no problems.
HicksDavidC sounds good. One more question. After a shooting session. Has your benelli choke from factory came loose?
Just to clarify, am I correct (as someone else here said) in that a US made Mag tube being 922r compliment? Otherwise I need to buy a US made fore end. I have seen the American made Italian clones for around $50. Thanks for video.
A complete tube is compliant, if made in the US. An extension doesn't count

William Wood my full length tube is OEM so not made in USA
Gianna Corpuz I believe Freedom Fighter Tactical makes one. Pricey though. Google them. Hope that helps.

@HicksDavidC I like the M4 case. What brand and model is the case? My M4 sits in the OEM box when not used.
Pelican
Perfecto! Thanks for making this one. 👍🏼
Where did you purchase the Made In America forearm grips. I would like to purchase them for my M4, Thanks
Looks like a Freedom Fighter Tactical forearm grip
922r is for people building guns from parts kits like Russian aks

You will have to buy a new recoil tube with the notch marks. They have a 2, 3, and 5 notch version ranging from $100-$200.
Very good, thenk's
I just bought an Le model from a dealer with a retractable stock and forgo all that BS.
But isn't the ATF limited to what Congress legislates?
Thank you man :)

I presume you've tried 'Freedom fighter tactical' for parts...?
I see your video is older, you my know by now, look up, freedom fighter tactical, Todd has all the Benelli parts he’s awesome
You could have done the entire trigger group... 3 parts and the follower , 1 part and kept the adjustable stock and the 7 round tube.
"common sense gun laws," lmao
You can stamp it USA yourself.
Mine not even threaded for chokes? $2000

What a Pain in the @$$ just make it 922R. I'm sure the Italian parts are probably made better. It's like Chevy and Ferrari

Dumb question, who’s going to know really? Unless every replacement part had made in USA on it, they could still just say you’re in violation.
cute
It fucking ridiculous to have to jump through these legal loops
Are you even America if you don’t carry your sidearm whilst making TH-cam vids.

Waste of your time and money.
Its a way for the ATF to add charges against you if they ever want to prosecute.
Back yard bull..
Need to fire the ones that voted for this stupid law.
That foregrip looks terrible.
That ridiculous mess of unconstitutional paper "common sense gun laws"... such infringement with no real benefit.
weak action here,, Lame.
Is this so you can own this firearm or is so you can shoot in 3gun competition.
I own the same shotgun in the same configuration.
I actually wrote the ATF and they responded after MONTHS stating it applies even to simply being in possession of the firearm. So has nothing to do with competition and everything to do with a stupid law.
