    I was so excited when I saw you got the video up on Reddit. Loved the video and the quality. Gave it a go as a first time trying to do anything but prime and basecoat a model with my airbrush, and it shows lol. BUT I was able to achieve it albeit much more messy so I am so excited to keep working on this and hone it in. Thanks for this!

    For a first video that was awesome! Loved the effect you achieved by adding the florescent color at the end. Just happened to find your channel and am now subscribed. Keep up the great work!

    Solid content. Really nice quality video. Thanks for putting this together.
    One nitpick would be the sound balancing. The music is a tad loud. Good choice in music though!

      Thanks for the feedback mate ! And i totally agree! I'm gonna be looking into sorting myself out with a better mic for future videos so fingers crossed the sound balancing will be much better next time around 🤞🏼

    Hi amazing vid but I have questions how did you make it blue in the end and what was the last red and how to get it also did you start with silver or was that primer

    What type of airbrush? I don’t understand do you have a gravity fed one or one with a motor thing lol

    • @PelicanPainting
      @PelicanPainting  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh i have both in one ! 99% of airbrushes all run off some kind of compressor “motor” to get its air supply, You can get some on rare occasions that use a air canister or something like a spray can uses, And then the term gravity fed only means that the paint sits in a cup on the top of the airbrush and gravity pulls the paint into the airbrush, Compared to a syphon feed airbrush where the paint cup hangs below,
      So mine personally is a gravity fed airbrush with a compressor attached, but the technique will work for whatever airbrush setup you have
      Hopefully thats made things a little clearer for ya !

    What is the first shade you use? I didn't understand what you said. Perhaps you could just put the pot up to the camera as you put it down so we can see the label and how these strange GW words are spelled? Great vid tho!

    • @PelicanPainting
      @PelicanPainting  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The first shade on the armour ? Thats cryptek armourshade , its like a brown metallic wash simmilar to a mix of nuln oil and agrax earthshade Thanks for the comment !

    Impressive control with your brush and especially your airbrush. When I tried this I ended up with a red Necron :( The models always look so large in the videos lol. I'm going to keep trying until my Necrons look somewhat like yours. Cheers.

      Thanks so much mate Its all practice really I’ve been airbrushing since i was 16 so its just something that comes with time Also a higher quality airbrush sprays a much tighter spray pattern as a rule

    Is it just my brain or des the Miniature look more blueish in the beginning? That made me watch the Rest but somehow it didnt went blue

    • @PelicanPainting
      @PelicanPainting  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think thats because i use a LED light at the end when filming that last stage, “cool blue light” over the warm camera lights i use during the painting parts

    • @PelicanPainting
      @PelicanPainting  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@R-SXX hmm .. i think if i was going to try that kind of metallic look, Instead of washing the mode with cryptek armourshade oil over the silver, could wash it with drakenhof nightshade possibly to give you that dark navy tint ?
      Although i haven’t tried this to see how it looks

    I keep a cap full of Airbrush cleaner an a trash brush to hit my tip every other go an never experience tip dry no matter what color it is.
    Even batch painting 40 Minatures of white scars still Not a single tip dried 🤘🤤

    Step 1: Buy a black light.
    Step 2: Buy Neon paints.
    Step 3: Film with black background.

    • @PelicanPainting
      @PelicanPainting  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha i’ll take that as a compliment for sure ! Thanks for that
      I film my final shots infront of those strip LED lights, And the paints are all shown in the tutorial They’re fluorescent but i dont film them with any special edited glow and the background i use for my final shots is a wallpaper GW gave out one Christmas time
      If you’d like i can show you some photos of them in the normal daylight if you want to see them a different way

      @@PelicanPainting 😳 I'm sorry, Love your videos n work.😅
      I was self reflecting on my own work, I've assembled many models but painted few. I've yet to be happy about how mine turn out.
      Didn't think a comment on a year old video would be called out so quick lol... I'm embarrassed. I'll be happy to edit or delete.
