    Sad. I’ve been there. But the Holy Spirit that lives in me convicted me hard and made me repent. I wept bitterly like Peter did when he denied Jesus three times. This life will shake your faith hard. I understand why people lose their faith. But if you truly are saved, Jesus will come for you. The spirit will convict you. You can’t escape. I hope and pray this will be the case for this man.

      Blessed be God forever 🙌🙂
      Jesus Christ is Lord forever 🙌😊 Hallelujah Holy Spirit forever 🙌😊 Amen.
      Truly, I believe the Bible is really Real, the Bible is the Blessed Word of God, the Holy Scriptures are true. Yet, at the same time, I do not view the Scriptures as everyone else does, but I do believe that I have the accurate view of Scriptures, by the grace of God and to His glory, as does the thousands of other different divisions of Christian assemblies. So, I think that often the problem is that people leave (or call themselves leaving) the Christian faith because they don't view the Bible as the Baptists, or as the Apostolics, or as the Pentecostals, or as the Methodists, or whatever other denomination or non denominational church that they were a part of believes the Bible. But we need to understand that we don't have to believe the Bible as everyone else believes it, we need to believe the Bible as God Himself reveals the Bible to us. The difference is the Born again experience. When you have a true Born again experience in which the Holy Spirit comes into your heart and transforms your life, No doctrine can ever take that away from you. No understanding or misunderstanding or interpretation or wrong or right or whatever type of interpretation of the Bible that you have can ever take away that Born again experience. Blessed be the Name of the Lord! You have that experience, so whenever someone tries to challenge the Christian faith (and I get challenged all the time through the verbal or written combat of non-believers), all I have to do is go back to my Born again experience. All I have to do is go back to when Jesus Christ empowered me with the Holy Spirit and my entire life was changed, my thoughts change, my words change, my deeds changed, and it was an overpowering effect so that I could not control the change: all I did was believe the Word of God and God began to transform me so dramatically and so miraculously no doctrine can never take that away. It's a lifetime memory. And God continues and have continued to work in my life answering my prayers and showing me miracle after miracle and moving mountain after mountain and giving healing after healing through prayer and through faith. And not only so but there's a place in His Presence (God's Holy and Glorious Presence) that's so different that to not dwell there for any period of time results in a different attitude, results in different thoughts, and results in feeling like a fish out of water, so you are compelled to dwell there all the time because that joy and that peace and that love and that glory is not found anywhere else.
      Much love in Christ Jesus forever
      Apostle Thaddeus
      The Ministry of Pure Truth
      All glory be to God forever 🙌😊
      Praise Christ Jesus forever 🙌😊

    Everyone’s journey in this life is different. If you can’t understand his journey, his path is not your path. If you aren’t still embracing him, even though he is learning who is as a person and where he is in his own personal journey, you are definitely part of the problem. I met this man at CRUvention in Orlando years and years ago. He is a good man. Not all who wander are lost.

    • @bishopakpan2284
      @bishopakpan2284 ปีที่แล้ว

      You don't understand. When you make a public declaration denouncing Christ, just as you did when you were baptised, you are not wandering. You are lost. Worst still, you have in effect rejected Christ. Ask Judas Iscariot, who later repented or realised the evil of what he did, but couldn't trace his path back to Christ. The Apostle Peter clearly warns, "If we reject Him, He will reject us". The Lord said, "If you are ashamed of Me before men, I will be ashamed of before My Father..." It's that serious. No one here is trying to tear Brad to shreds for what he did. On the contrary, when a professed Christian denounces the faith, it shakes the confidence of others. It has a ripple effect. Thankfully, the faith of true followers of Christ doesn't depend on sound theological argument or knowledge. It is on the revelation of Christ the Church is built.

    If you listen closely to his renunciation video, the original fissure began with the desire to disassociate himself from an evangelical Christian movement that has conflated itself with conservative political ideology in an unhealthy way that is opposed to the cause of Christ. I've often commented to friends that unbelievers particularly, but even those within the faith, would eventually begin to impute that conservative rhetoric to Christianity, as if it formed part of the faith, and wish to distance themselves from the faith itself. I'm afraid that is what was at least partially at play in phanatiks case. Body of Christ, please segregate your Christian walk from your secular associations; for the Kingdom's sake!

    What issues? Which ones, dude? Put what there? What problems are you talking about?
    I’ll say this: Any and every time I have seen someone leave the faith, they choose one of the mainstream “problems” typically raised by atheists. In this case, issues with the text, but it could have been the problem of evil or something else. But, in every case, the root issue is that they want to sin. The explanation they give is generally chosen to give themselves a veneer of credibility. But it has generally come down to the fact that they no longer want to live with a commitment to holiness unto the Lord. Instead, they want to be free from the pressure they feel to live a particular way as a Christian should, and instead desire to make moral compromises without the guilt that comes from knowing Jesus would not approve.
    Now, I’m not saying that is what is happening here. I can’t say because I don’t know this guy. But, anecdotally, this has been the consistent experience I have had over the last 25 years of ministry.
    Sad.

      Yes, yes and yes. The theological "problems" are invariably a smokescreen for sinful inclinations. I remember when a well-known Moody professor jumped ship --- his study of the ancient languages of the bible supposedly led him to the shipwreck of his faith. My sister at that time said to me, "I guarantee you; he wanted to commit adultery and was looking for a way to give in." I was shocked by her statement. But as it turned out...she was right. Sin lies at the door. God help us to take heed lest we fall.

    Ok sooooo he basically said NOTHING I’m this clip! He didn’t present the passages that he’s having difficulties with; his denouncing of the faith over a few unanswered questions seem premature to me. As someone who’s been in the faith for 30 years as he stated, he ought to know by now that God is not obligated to make all things clear to us in the Bible. He gives us clarity on those things which are important and necessary for our salvation, there are and will continue to be mysteries in the faith. Why because God’s thoughts are higher than our thoughts, his ways are above our ways. He needs for us to humble ourselves and trust him, trust that he means us good and not harm and that he will not keep any good thing from us as the scripture states.

    @Phanatik (Brady Goodwin):
    Thank you so much for the time and heart you gave to God! My son was impacted through The Cross Movement music and your lyrics, and is still today.
    I will share my thoughts on your denunciation:
    1. God is always testing us. Otherwise, we would never know where our faith really is - what we really believe and Wood versus what we ascribe to. The testing is for US to know where we are, to align with God, using the tools he’s given.
    2. Your new enlightenment reminds me of Adam and Eve’s story. Specifically, this verse:
    “..saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious, and she wanted the wisdom it would give her. So she took some of the fruit and ate it…”
    I think your “tree” and “fruit” is humanity and humanism, whose premise is “man is the measure of all things” and “do as thou wilt.” The liberality you mentioned is the language of a desire to please man (including your mind/self) more than the Creator of man.
    “At that moment their eyes were opened, and they suddenly felt shame at their nakedness. So they sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves… Then the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?” He replied, “I heard you walking in the garden, so I hid. I was afraid because I was naked.” “Who told you that you were naked?” the Lord God asked. “Have you eaten from the tree whose fruit I commanded you not to eat?””
    ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3‬:‭6‬-‭11‬ ‭NLT‬‬
    I believe the scriptures that “jumped out at you”, after 30 years, are a result of something else that changed in your life experience that caused you to see God [Himself] differently and subsequently His word. Otherwise, your faith lens wouldn’t allow you to have a worldly consciousness.
    I appreciate you sharing this and I will definitely be in prayer, in God‘s mercy, that He will remember your [previous] devotion and be gracious and good enough to you [again] to cause you to respond to him in a way that would lead you to turn back and greater than ever before. Thankfully, God loves you ahead of your current state. There’s literally grace awaiting.
    I will just ask that you give God the openness that you have given liberality and humanism. Don’t think you’ve “arrived“ or “progressed” or “evolved”. Stay humble. Stay meek. It’s still in there-I can hear it.
    Thank you, again!

    I use to wrestle with various doubts arising from various problematic passages in the Bible too, but I also knew my heart was deceitful, and knew it was way more easier for me to do bad things, even though I wanted to do good; I knew I was a slave to my sins and vices, and knew the message of salvation proclaimed throughout the Bible, was the only remedy for this. I saw all other religions as people desperately trying to do good deeds in the hope of reaching God, but noticed how the gospel was different, because it was God coming down to reach people in the Person of Christ....in spite of whatever problem passage, scribal error, manuscript variations etc, I saw the overall message was the same in the Bible: humanity is basically fallen, all gave sinned, sin resulted in death for all, human-beings are powerless to save themselves, God who made man in His image, came down in the imagecof man die for sins, and rose from the dead defeating death, and taking away the fear of death to all who believe....no other religion says this, the message of salvation in the scriptures has never changed (in spite of man's efforts to change it).

    Sweetheart, while I call myself a Christian, I don’t think the Bible is the last word. It’s been translated and retranslated so many times, I believe it can be a hindrance. There are words written in the original that doesn’t even translate to English, someone had to decide what to put in its place. I believe humans are fallible, we have an ego, & we make mistakes. For anyone reading this checkout a “Rev Ed Trevors” here on TH-cam. I’ve never had a pastor I felt comfortable with, but I enjoy listing to him, it’s not a sermon, just him sharing his thought on different subjects. He has a “Church Without Walls” every Saturday night, that’s not a sermon. It’s more of a discussion back and forth between us viewers and him. He seems humble, he’s all inclusive. There’s even atheists who join in because of his thoughts, them saying while they’re not a believe they feel uplifted by what he has to say. There’s a couple of witches, I think a pagan too. It seems they all respect him as the person he is. There’s no hellfire or damnation either. Believe me, I’d run like hell the first time I didn’t think he was Jesus like. Grace to you all.

Genesis 1:1 requires faith because it's beyond our finite minds that God just spoke the entire universe into existence. There's such a failure in church today explaining who God is and who we are. This is a great example why churches don't preach this because people like this man will flee from Christianity. He wants an infinite God to explain things to his finite mind.

The Bible reveals who Christ is but we are not saved by believing the Bible we are saved by giving our life to Jesus and accepting that we will never understand the Bible 100%. I believe the Bible but it’s not my salvation only Jesus is and if I don’t understand some things in the Bible then I just accept that I may not get my answers but I won’t renounce my faith based on not understanding the Bible.

    Let this be a warning to everyone;
    If you haven't encountered the living Christ, you're not His. You can "believe" all you want, but there's an experiential aspect to salvation that go beyond giving mental assent to a set of stated facts.
    Jesus Himself said so... John 14:16-23.

    This is a sad state of affairs. Not enough information to understand what he is referring to as the crux of his division. However, this man has a level of integrity that many believers could benefit from. In a way he exposes the many snakes in the midst and who likely poisoned his mind against the truth. Nevertheless this man is worshipping an idol. May it be revealed to him how weak and insufficient anything formed on this earth is. That he has traded his inheritance for a pot of stew, here one minute but gone the next.

    Hum, this doesn't sound like a nonbeliever to me. So all you critics who think youre so perfect, I say just shut up, you and your self righteousness should just go jump in the lake. This sounds more like extreme dissolutionment than it does rejection.
    Though many may be dissappointed about this message, he seems to want to be honest more than harmful and is clearly conscious that his revelation will impacted others. Here is the great thing about grace and salvation.
    If he was never trully saved as a believer, he hasn't lost anything anyway. But if he was, he still is and will be brought back. Because that is what the power of God and the convicting presents of the Spirit will ultimately do. Thus, this is a time of prayer for people in his state of mind, not judgement. How alone he must feel to have come to this place. But the Spirit of God seals his people so that they can be found again in God's timing.
    Eph 1:11-14 In him you also, who have heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and have believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, which is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory. Amen and Ase.

    When we follow Jesus as King and His Kingdom, the Gospel Jesus preached, there will in no way be a thought of denouncing that. Anyways, sad to see this happening.

    It seems like he was never really grounded in the word. There may be things in seminary school that doesn’t sit right but, we are still within the same body and the spirit bears witness. But then again God is separating the wheat from the tares! The great falling away has begun! People taking heed to seducing Spirits and doctrines of devils!!
