    This group got me through high school and college. They made me want to delve into the word of God. Because these truly spit the scripture unapologetically.

    Man! I am extremely humbled with this interview. Feeling real emotional because I can distinctly remember how their ministry discipled me in my early young adult years. They made the gospel so real, relatable and understandable. I can't even count the number of times I was about to slip up and the words from their songs helped me not to stumble. All because their message pointed back to Christ. When everybody was hollerin "ima do me" they went the opposite way. Much respect to THE MOVEMENT! Please do another album! We need it in this watered down CHH genre, but more importantly we need it in the world as a whole.

    I'll never forget seeing Cross Movement at a concert in Columbus Ohio with the Elevationists. Me and the homey BJ asked Phanatik what was needed most in CHH. Phanatik told us that artists should focus more on the needs of their communities. This was at a time I really wanted God to take my ministry to a greater level but that resonated with me and I'm grateful for those words of wisdom.

    It's a shame they broke up back in 2008.

    These guys are giving some wisdom that all Christian artist should listen to. I remember in another interview they said they don't want people to think they are bitter or criticizing. I believe at the end of the day all they are saying is that no matter what we do we have to make sure we keep Christ at the center of what we are doing and we have to be about the mission of spreading the Gospel and make sure we don't get too caught up into other things that go along with the music business.....how can you be against that?

    Mannnnnnnnn I been feeling this way on CHH for a bit. This is interview is Christ's heart toward CHH right now. These guys seem tolerant but at the same time hold the standard to the Word Of God. Note how they don't condemn not even once., If all fans could respond to CHH's mistakes in this Godly manner in the comment section of vids we would be much farther along. Much Respect To Cross Movement.

    I was just listening to "House of Representatives!" Was (am) a huge CM fan. Saw them probably 20 years ago at a church in my city. I've always liked them BC of why I over Commissioned growing up; awesome music that was unapologetically biblical! I have never understood why being clear about the Gospel was ever an argument among Christian rappers. Use your gift for God's glory! ❤️✝

  • @norrisfuse23
    @norrisfuse23 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    See this is why CM is still needed in CHH. They maintain that balance, they're inteligent brother's who know how to articulate what they are seeing and come at these issues from the viewpoint of scripture. Enough with all these opinions, what does the word (we as believers are supposed to live by) say? This is what I miss in CHH nowadays. No one wants to be accountable to scripture no more. We're starting to become almost post modernist in our approach nowadays.

    I don't know the guy in the blue shirt name but that was wisdom from God when he referred to an artist song called (24:00-30:00) Victory. as a christian we don't leave open interpretation we send an narrow message that Christ is victory. victory in righteousness, victory in salvation, victory in hope, victory in redemption, victory in our identity, victory in our worth /value, victory in our mortal and eternal future. I needed to hear that part for myself ✊

    Love these guys they had inspired me to be a gospel mc myself cus growing up in the hip hop culture I never knew God had a spot for those like me cus I wasn't church oriented and hip hop is all my life was and is.. But on the real I learned more bout scriptures from them than a preacher. I love it yo now I know we are apart of God's plan.

    Rapzilla....I think one of the ways you can help bring back Christ in CHH is to promote songs n artists that actually bring Christ to us n mak the CROSS the Center of their songs...but I guess by the time u make such a decision, might be the only artists u might have on your site would be Eshon, Da-Truth, Humble Beast Team n The G.O.M. crew.
    Think about it...

    I wish they could understand how we bring our own world view, experiences and what some say as "in front of the text" influences their/our understanding of the scripture. So even if they want to be totally led by scripture, there is still other influences. The world is much bigger

    I disagree with the idea of Christian rappers fearing being predictable. Rappers that don't rap in the Christian vain are predictable. I feel like I know that most rappers are going to talk about money, drugs, violence, poverty, sex/sexuality and unless it really speaks to the political messages that rappers like TuPac used to put out, I am pushed toward rappers like Cross Movement, Flame, 116, Da TRUTH, Bizzle, etc....
