Don't blame you, to be honest, but I would like to think counselling could help some abusers change. My mum used to counsel the abusers the success rate was not high but there were some successes. Some people did successfully change
Even though i've seen this show several times since the 80s, i always looked forward to Rose 'Spider' Simpson arriving. Taya Straton was brilliant but died way too young.
Michael (Marty) always admitted he didn't like acting to much his passion was always behind the camera. I can relate because I write, direct and do producing as well as other thing's but could never imagine being in front of the camera ! He doesn't exactly look like he did back in the time, he is now shorter and has no hair haha. But like I said he is an awfully nice bloke
When one of the comments said that Marty is found carrying the dog, I imagined Marty walking through the smoke in slow motion wearing a string vest and a hard hat carrying a dog looking all serious, real Bruce Willis style.. It's never been clear to me whether each block has its own top dog. It would make sense, considering they never see each other, but sometimes they make it sound like the H block top dog rules over the entire prison. your thoughts?
In the Bea Smith Era (as I have found out watching the show up to this point epd 649) the Top Dog was only 1 person and they ran the Prison. However in the rest of the series, it's seems, they only run H Block..... It seems right now that Nancy is trying to run the whole prison to make her a "legit" Top Dog.....
I love that this episode has the potential to educate women who might be being beaten. No one should ever have to put up with a man’s (or woman’s) bullying just because they themselves have no knowledge of how to be a man. These men are inadequate and are broken and they break the women down too.

Then spends the entire time in there being a fussy old bag, trying to stop everyone doing stuff that she personally disapproves of. And then moans her backside off, because her son is beating his wife. Which of course wouldn't have happened had she let him take the rap for his actions in the first place!

Nancy's trial seems to be taking a hell of a long time considering you usually see other prisoners court appearances fairly early. She has been on remand since before Kath arrived yet she's had her trial and sentence🤔
The problem is, too many women cover up for men who beat them. It's like they are the one's who are ashamed. They should shout it from the roof tops and see what a big man they feel like then.

Luckily a first degree protective order is available for the victim during the abusers court duration, which could take months or years. Abuser is usually just sent to court-ordered family counseling for the first time, unless they violate the protective order, which is a felony.
