My family has been rebuilding Salvage vehicles for over 40+ years, my pops owns several Dealerships and Collision Centers, so I have been rebuilding Salvage since I was a kid and now I run the Shops. And, I just need to say that I have NEVER seen anyone build anything that’s even remotely close to as messed up as that Hellcat was... Still crazy to me!
I just ordered my exhaust system as you recommended..now I’m saving up for a wrecked Mclaren.. should take 10 or 15 years...you are doing a great job..that’s the stuff dreams are made of..yours is coming true! God bless!

Became a fan from Goonsquad and I like how he just gets straight to the facts of the builds. Good music and you can tell he is a really hard worker. Props for having this super car in a thousand pieces and putting it together rather seamlessly.
This young man has skill and please don’t compare him to billy and Simon, great young men but in a different league. This young man has skills like no other. I hope and pray that his hard work makes him very comfortable in life.

I am impressed with this build. Not alot of people would want to tackle the wiring, hoses and hassles. You are the king of the rebuild channels. Quit a few steps above the Goonz who are now on Part 139 "how to replace your furnace filter"
When you put on your V-clamps on the exhaust, don’t forget to lubricant them with some never-zees, and then tap them all 360 degrees with a hammer. Then they will tight. On them you will also see the torque. This is how we do it on an aircraft. Nice work so far

I started watching this rebuild from the start having no idea who these guys were and I've been hooked every week since. Its fucking insane stripping a motor like this and rebuilding it the way they've done it. Complete admiration. Videos are awesome. Big fan here in the UK.

I love how Titanium exhausts look. No anti-seize on the sensors?? It’s coming along nicely. I think I am going to wait a couple of months before I watch anymore so I can see it all at once. The waiting is killing me. Could not imagine the waiting for parts you must be going through. Great job!!!
I really never doubted this man's skills for a moment. He knows his stuff and could probably tackle any project sent in his direction. Very resourceful indeed with a little luck in there too!

Haven't watched the dang & son in months. They got to go back to car builds and sell some of the old builds. Vtuned has really broke out of his shell doing complex builds.

Great building and we'll done. Spending on that exhaust would be questionable in my opinion. If it's welded in little sections rather than bent, won't that mean it's not smooth inside and cause flow issues?

In terms of exhaust sound...quality over quantity..i mean that in a sense of the quality of the sound is better for these cars rather than just being loud.
The smoke upon startup isn't normal, the engine sounds healthy, white smoke is generally coolant being burnt, I would check your turbo's as they are most likely oil lubricated and water cooler for a blown seal, also check your engine oil for water
He is not loosing coolant and there is no smoke on start up after running it up to temperature. The system would still be pressurised after shutdown so if there was a leak it would leak into the engine with a noticeable lose in coolant levels. Plus when it was started up for the first time there was no coolant in the system so again your theory of coolant escape may be incorrect. Smoke was just probably residual product being purged from the engine as a whole. Vtuned is having such a great run with this vehicle, it will be interesting to see if he provides a cost breakdown of the project. Fingers crossed !
Impressive job! If you are not going to put on the cover over in front of the exhaust system, then it might be nice with a dim LED lighting inside that makes you see the nice system. But not too bright, just make it pop.
Congratulations everything looks and sounds awesome. When you get it on the road please be careful. It will be tempting to open it up but don't ruin all your hard work and have an accident. We all look forward to many more builds from your channel.
Great work. Please put the McLaren panel in between exhaust tips. It will finish rear end off properly. With exhuasts you just need to see the tips and listen to the sound, more subtle.

Smoke from a turbo engine is pretty common. It is much better than early turbos but...in that hot turbo, some oil still sneaks by the bearings. Remember those bearing are being oiled under pressure.

You're doing an excellent job. YOu have done the impossible with your McLaren. My OCD is screaming that all the parts you reinstalled in the back, like the covers and radiator shields etc were not cleaned. I think I would have had someone sit and clean everything up before install. I do not understand the waiting for parts from Germany. Surely all the bits are coming from the UK. Well done though, I am thoroughly impressed.
Nothing to do with doing it right. It’s all to do with each countries allowed Db sound reading from an exhaust. If you fitted that exhaust in the UK and stopped by traffic police, they can give you a legal notice to comply with the Euro type approval and change the exhaust to a road legal one, doesn’t have to be the OE one, just legal. If your caught driving again and not complied, the car will be towed.
when rebuilding an entirely different tub, do you need to register and title the VIN number on the new tub? id imagine so, but i dont believe it has been mentioned.
He would need to register it as the tub he got the car from because of the vin numbers but he will also have to show receipts and stuff for everything he fixed on the car they do that to make sure no stolen parts was used
Depends on the state. It’s possible it could be considered a constructed vehicle and wind up with a state assigned VIN. Whatever the case, I hope VTuned keeps it legit for his situation.
too bad the heat shields cover that bad ass exhaust. something is still leaking into combustion chambers when it sits and cools back to room temp. white and bluish smoke not good. the black was ok just rich when you hammer it to the rug.
Again, bravo! Closer and close. Get the right 'right' front suspension this time:) They will swap it for you, so no big deal, while you wait or the parts of the other car to assemble the front and the coolers. Paint= GO. Next month end, sounds realistic.

Why does it have excessive smoke when you rev the engine? I thought this thing was relatively new as far as how much mileage was on it.

Please check/change out the turbo inlet baffles if you use a third party exhaust, they tend to break loose and damage the turbos.

The factory sports exhaust is loud enough, especially on the overrun. Shoots like there is no tomorrow. But street legal so I dont have to worry.

when rebuilding an entirely different tub, do you need to register and title the VIN number on the new tub? id imagine so, but i dont believe it has been mentioned.
He would need to register it as the tub he got the car from because of the vin numbers but he will also have to show receipts and stuff for everything he fixed on the car they do that to make sure no stolen parts was used

Depends on the state. It’s possible it could be considered a constructed vehicle and wind up with a state assigned VIN. Whatever the case, I hope VTuned keeps it legit for his situation.

too bad the heat shields cover that bad ass exhaust. something is still leaking into combustion chambers when it sits and cools back to room temp. white and bluish smoke not good. the black was ok just rich when you hammer it to the rug.
