Are you looking for a fun, colorful idea for an accent wall? Painted wall arches are my personal favorite way to add a pop of color to my home.
This is the third arch I've painted, so I've learned some tricks of the trade.
In this video I'll give you a step-by-step tutorial on how to paint an arch, as well as mistakes to avoid.
Why I LOVE arches more than any other accent wall idea:
- they are so easy to DIY
- everyone who visits my house says they want to incorporate one into their own interior design
- they make a huge statement but don't use that much paint
In an ironic twist, I made a mistake in this TUTORIAL facepalm
But what's the use in acting like I did it perfectly? DIY's quite literally never go as expected. You're not a failure if you mess up!
But remember: you are your own worst critic! Once you step back and take a breather, I bet you won't be able to find a lot of those small mistakes and places where your hand was shaky.
Go slow, take your time, and enjoy making your home your own :)

Paint color: Tarragon by Valspar
Great news-- you don't need that much paint! It's not a whole wall, and this Valspar Reserve paint got the job done in one coat.
