Ragi puttu looks fantastic and yummy! My grandfather was recently diagnosed with gallstones so I was just wondering about the fat free foods that he can take and here it is ! Nice to know that ragi has anti ulcer and anti bacterial properties in addition to the wide array of benefits it offers ! Ragi should definitely be an integral part of our diet. Especially for diabetics, it is a MUST & while eating they should chew ragi puttu properly and slowly in order to digest it well !

Can I know how to make oil free dhokla......lot of oil used for seasoning.otherwise it is very dry to eat. Also it is not healthy for lot of soda and citric acid is also used, without which doesn't become pluffy.
Namaskarams Padma. So happy that you enjoyed making and relishing Ragi puttu!!! These are my rewards. Thanks a ton!!! Regards, Sujata from Munch and Mull
Namaskarams Padma. Will definitely plan a dhokla episode. I generally grind 2 cups of moong daal, half cup of rice which has been soaked for atleast 3 hrs. Add curd while grinding. One can add ginger and green chilli also. Keep it for fermenting overnight. Add half teaspoon baking powder before steaming. Try and give me a feedback. Regards Sujata from Munch and Mull

These are traditional recipes. One can definitely have fresh grated coconut. Sedentary lifestyle without any physical activity are the main culprits of various lifestyle diseases. So you can definitely have fresh coconut in moderation coupled with a good amount of physical activity like brisk walking. Regards Sujata from Munch and Mull
