  • Went out in search of some big carp, and that is exactly what I got. Had an awesome time out on the water fishing an area I've never fished for carp at. The bite was good in the morning but quickly slowed down as the day progressed.
    My last carp video:
    • Carp Fishing New Spot ...
    Trilogy Carp Baits:
    www.trilogycarp...
    Set up: 8'6" medium heavy rod, 4000 size spinning reel and 30lb braided line.

    I treat carp like river monsters because they are! pound for pound they fight harder than any other freshwater fish in North America. definitely worth targeting a lot of people call them trash fish but they are so strong and will not let you down if you want a great fight and your drag peeled

    Great video and awesome carp's!!!
    In the last weekend, I have caught 2 carp, the first has 1 hour after set up and the second one after 15 minutes from the first, and nothing more, but it has worth it!
    The first and the bigger as 9,900kg (22 pounds) and my new PB and the second on has 6,350kg (14 pounds)

    I have fished for carp in many years. Done so for entertainment and to help the aquatic environment. I have never released a carp back into the water. They are thrown back onto the bank to feed hawks, eagles, racoon, fox, opossum and insects. This way they do not over populate and eat sport fish and eggs. But always a blast to catch!!

      Thanks Zach. I use 30lb braid, the set up I was using is in the description as well. I'm planning on fishing for many different species and different areas soon, but I'm not aware of any spots around here where the suckers are running right now. Many more videos to come though!

      @MR33MARKELL 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Peelindrag looking glass and the Shiawassee rivers both have the sucker runs and some of the biggest carp around are in the Shiawassee. A lot of guys actually bowfish them in the Shiawassee. Look up shiatown dam. Been waiting on the red cedar to go down. Waters' really high where I fish it tho.

    • @kevinzeh3559

      Try finding a likely looking spot and then baiting it for a few days before you fish it.

    • @peelindrag113
      @peelindrag113  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      As Kevin mentioned, baiting can help a lot. Also ask other local anglers or check in with a bait shop in the area. Lastly, make sure your rig is set up right. If you haven't seen my last video, I go over the rig and set up I'm using. A very sharp hook is also important.

    • @kevinzeh3559
      @kevinzeh3559 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Correct. If you don't use the right tackle rigged the right way they can strip the bait off or blow it back out without getting hooked. Hair rigs work best because carp feed by sucking things in then blowing water back out. When the hair rig is tied right and the correct style hook is used then it will catch on the bottom lip as it comes out.

    • @peelindrag113
      @peelindrag113  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could buy or make boilies which the panfish wouldn't be able to eat, or use boiled field corn or the corn I was using in the video. Both are much firmer and the field corn is larger once boiled, making it harder for the panfish to grab.

      @@daansiderius4283 I hardly notice it. On cheap set ups like this I like keeping them on since the reel seat occasionally comes loose. There's no right or wrong, just personal preference.

    Try to fish more and talk less. You keep repeating yourself. Don't mean it in a bad way but just some advise.

      You can show the hook set then the fish into shore not the whole time reeling in, and you kept saying you just got there so many times. Keep it short and sweet and to the point people will watch longer and more and less talking also. It's okay to not talk and fish it's what we do. Just some pointers from a person that has been doing this for awhile. You are on the right track just need some adjustments that's all.

      Thanks for the feedback! I did cut out a ton of the fight, I faught the fish for probably 10 min each. The reason I made it a little longer is because I've had a lot of people ask that I make longer videos. I appreciate the comment though, I'll take that into consideration.

      Cruzinon22s if he made the clips as short as your suggesting that would be really boring. The excitement is seeing the fight and hearing the big runs the carp go on. He's taking us along on his fishing adventures and if he didn't talk and say what's happening it would be really boring honestly.. your videos are of claw machines and pokemon go.. why would he take fishing video advice from you. And he said he just got there like 2 times haha not that big of a deal

      Don't listen to him. I thought the video was great. It was about the right amount of fighting the fish. That's what makes carp fishing fun. If you only showed the hookset and bringing it up to shore it would be pretty boring if you ask me. Also the talking is fine, some of it is a bit repetitive but it's better to have a little too much than no talking at all. I couldn't sit through a 10 minute video of only catching fish with no talking/excitement of catching, etc. Keep it up!
