    Most PD-USB power supply chips drop the power to 10W per port if multiple ports are used. If you need QC for every port you will need an independent chip per port on the trigger board

    • @kapeldiy7482

      Hi, its not bi-directional, so its not suitable for powerbank as a standalone solution, You will need separate cells charger

    I saw my Mac switch to 100w charging while using this module with a high power C to C cable. I'm not sure the module could handle 100w constant load but it probably has internal thermal throttling but might be bad to heat shrink wrap it and cover the chips without a heat sync first

    50c is very hot, especially considering it is free air right now. Think how hot it will get if it is concealed inside a vehicle behind the dash or enclosed in some housing without fans.

    • @kapeldiy7482
      @kapeldiy7482  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Indeed it's hot, I recommend using this module in vented environments, or using good heat dissipation. From the other hand my macbook charger is getting really hot when its charging the battery - I believe it can also reach 50c inside or even more

    • @lifeai1889
      @lifeai1889 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually it's fine
      It can handle 65w just don't use actual load use dummy load it can even deliver 100w with heatsink

    12.07 plus voltage loss equals 11.5 to the module. So at best the module was using 9V PD.

    Hi how much input Voltage and Amperes Needed to function it’s PD charging.

    • @kapeldiy7482
      @kapeldiy7482  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi ! It depends - PD can be activated at 9V 12V 15V and 20V on output, but the rule is, that input voltage should be at least 3V higher then expected on output. So If you have a device which runs on 20V PD - you should consider 23V or higher on input

Check my other video th-cam.com/video/vqNNQIqiRzo/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=KapelDIY in which I'm building the charger based on old laptop power supply, if you wish to use PD with 20V you have to use 25 volts or above on the input
