    The design is starting to grow on me; I hope to see it in person

      You’ll probably like it more in person. That’s what happened in my case.

    It depends on the size and form of the windscreen if the HUD can be displayed directly or not. This is at least the case with the new BMW 2 Series (Tourer).

    • @OneTireFire
      @OneTireFire  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You might have a point since Minis have quite a vertical windscreen that curves towards the sides of the vehicle, but I still think BMW could have found a way to make it work.

    They’re not making them in the nederlands anylonger?

    • @OneTireFire

      The hatch has always been built in the UK until now, as far as I know. I think only the Countryman (and maybe the Clubman) are built in the Netherlands.

    How will cost the convertible version? 50k? 😞

    • @OneTireFire
      @OneTireFire  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Probably around that for the big-battery model. The base Mini E will probably start under 40k.

    I think the exterior looks quite cool, however I don’t like the interior- it looks cheap and I don’t like the fact that the speedometer is on the centre console only and not in front of the steering wheel.

    • @OneTireFire
      @OneTireFire  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, that's pretty much the gist of what I said in the video :)

      A head-up display behind the steering wheel is an option

    The mini was a a British icon…made in china destroys that

    • @OneTireFire
      @OneTireFire  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, I agree, but at least the combustion-engined ones will still be made in the UK.

      I though the same seeing it in photos, but in person the rear looks pretty cool too.

  • @dustup2249

    That was a naïve and ignorant indictment of Cooper's HUD configuration. A projected HUD on a windscreen as very low contrast in sunlight and at night with oncoming motorists driving with their high beams.
    The fractions of a second of resolving the information on a windscreen HUD turns into a second or more in bright daylight sun or oncoming headlights where as the Cooper discreet version has no such failures to distract a driver at the full stated speed limit.
    Also, the older a person gets, the worse their contrast resolution which again forces the driver to stare at the windscreen to match their speed to sign stated limits such as school zones and certain rural local zones.

    • @OneTireFire
      @OneTireFire  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I respect your opinion about this, but I’ve driven lots of cars with HUDs projected directly onto the windscreen and I’ve never experienced what you describe. I maybe shouldn’t have called it a cheap solution because it isn’t cheap, it just looks cheap, and in my experience it was never superior to the kind of HUD that doesn’t need a separate screen. Thanks for your comment!

    I h@te made in China cars. Therefore if I want to buy a Mini in the next months for sure will be a combustion version, and until the EV version is produced in Oxford, it is not even a purchase option.

    • @OneTireFire
      @OneTireFire  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Range is bad. U need 400km on the base. N the top spec need 600km range n a 3s acceleration. No point to buy one when i can just get a cheaper china ev😂

    • @OneTireFire
      @OneTireFire  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well, yes, but they are quite different EVs regarding size, purpose, and battery pack size. If you compare the new electric Mini to other EVs its size, the specs are actually pretty good.

  • @amazingworld2142

    in my opinion, a total failure, like everything new usually, I think sales will drop very much, personally I will buy the previous version, Thank you

    • @OneTireFire
      @OneTireFire  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'll reserve judgment until after I've driven it. I love the previous version, though, so it has a lot to live up to, and I'm not going to cut it much slack for being an EV.

    . The rear light also goner

    • @OneTireFire
      @OneTireFire  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I thought so too, but the rear lights look better in person and they have quite a cool pattern when they're on. I'm curious to see if Mini offers some less expensive and intricate rear lights for those who want to pay less, though. I somehow feel that's a distinct possibility.
