It’s not just a new Mini for those not ready for EV. Seeing that the non-Countryman won’t be made in the UK for another 3 years or so, it’s really the only option for North America. I do like the new tail lights. It’s different, but when you see this car it’s still unmistakably a Mini. With some cars and cross overs looking almost the same it’s nice to have a car that’s still distinctive and utterly recognizable.
the old mini models had engine oil problems all the time at the workshop. unacceptable for a company to promote such a model.. hope the new minis like this don't cause problems..
In recent years the sporty aesthetic has slowly shifted form S to the JCW. I’ll be a bit of a contrarian, and say that I love that I can choose if my hot hatch looks flashy or understated.
@@oskarsucI am sure if I buy it I’ll will enjoy the smooth look. But if I be able to afford JCW I will go with that. I hope I can see it soon myself in a showroom. I need to order a new car in a next months.
While this car is still unmistakably a mini, I truly hate that the S is so utterly boring. I hated the 22 refresh, and this is even worse. The side scuttles, the large fog lamps / air intakes, the hood scoop (fake I know since the R53), the dual exhaust, these all gave the cooper S an aggressive stance, now it’s just so boring. This is another turd from BMW, just like almost all of the cars over the past 5 years.

I never thought this day would come, I love the mini f66😅
On the plus side they did boost the horsepower and torque 😊
Great review. Just found your channel and i had to subscribe. Cheers
Still looks better than the EV , maybe wheelbase looks much shorter . Looks more agile
Every iteration takes it further away from the Mini.

You’re referring to tie first two generations. The 3rd was dramatically higher quality with much less issues. The car is based on that generation.
@@MotoringFilevery nice.. praise god because i want to get this mini .. thanks
I don't like when S looks like a regular Mini.

@@anatolykhalizev2356 They also reintroduced the JCW trim, which is basically an S with JCW styling as a sort of middleground, so that might suit you.
Yes, this will be perfect if available
