I love that you organize your polishes by season! I’m not a seasonal polish person at all (well except for summer colors snd fall/halloween) so I organize by brand.
I go by brand as well, but I also have my toppers in their own drawer. I bought way too many toppers thinking that I would try to dupe new releases with them and jellies. Might still happen…
I love that you film with your phone!! I had no idea! And it’s so great to know how polish looks irl and not under fancy studio lighting. I mean, I want to see it in all lighting, but especially in real world lighting lol

I organize my polishes (over 500) first by brand and then by rainbow order. I keep all my bases and topcoats in a separate container (no matter the brand). I also despise the non-uniform look of bottles when the brand changes the whole look and shape of their bottles, especially caps. This makes it easy to see the older polishes but I don’t like them intermixed, so I treat the old designs as a different brand and then put them in rainbow order. It helps to keep them looking nice and I can access what I’m looking for pretty quickly. Thanks for showing us around. I love your setup 🥰
omg yess i know exactly what you mean about brands changing their bottles!! i think i have a few Wildflower shades like that lol but they’re not even next to each other anyway so it doesnt matter too much. but it definitely makes sense to treat the old design as a diff brand! so glad you enjoyed my tour + setup!! 🤗💗

Such a great idea. This makes so much sense for seasonal wearers. I had a fun time reorganizing my collection of 150 and it looks so nice. I have a rack for the current season and plastic boxes with a handle for my off season storage. I organized by season, then color family, then brand. It helps to see the brands side by side to avoid dupes and not get too focused on just one brand. Thanks for the idea!

Thank you for the nail tour. I have been thinking of other ways to organize my polish, so I appreciate the inspiration. In the end all that really matters if you know where your polish is, so whatever feels intuitive and easy is for sure a direction to lean into... Like some of the other commenters here I kind of want to sort by finish somehow. Sorting the polish by bottle shape seems sort of perfect.

I need a mug warmer, I’m a slow coffee drinker as well. One cup will take me like 2 hours lol. I try to keep my nail polish collection under 400, it’s manageable for me that way. I already get overwhelmed trying to decide what to wear. I have a set of drawers and spinning nail rack organized by color. The spinning nail rack has my most used and newest colors, the drawers hold the overflow. I like how you call Emily de molly, it’s cute.

Such a fun video! If you're caught between destashing for your sanity but keeping everything for comparisons would you be able to keep everything on Swatch Wheels and do comparisons that way? I love how thorough you are with your comparisons but I can definitely see maintaining the stash becoming very overwhelming!!!

I WISH I had such a nice setup for nail polish! It looks like a lovely and cozy space to relax and do manicures! I just have all my nail stuff in boxes in a closet. I haul all that out to the dining table for manicures. The polishes, themselves, are in those plastic book-like organizers that many people get from Amazon. They work pretty well for storage, but are not at all as easy for looking at the polishes and for re-arranging as drawers are! As far as polishes organization, for the most part, mine are arranged in the order I received them, which is NOT my highest wish for how they could be arranged!!

I organize by color (I have a lot less polishes though) and within color by finish. I realized it works best for me and I quickly see if I have multiples of a certain kind. I keep creams, thermals, magnetics, toppers separate. I adore your butterfly wing mani - it is stunning.

Thank you! Such a beautiful and relaxing space! I love seeing how others organize their collections. Seasonal is a great idea. But i don't always wear for the season and i'm lazy and don't like to move the polishes around much. I have nail polish shelves that match the color of my bedroom furniture so they act as wall art. But all of the white and silver caps are painted with starrily vantablack as i can't stand the eyesore of white caps here and there. The pewter color mooncat tops escape this treatment. They are dark enough. I do rainbow order. Toppers and polishes with lots of shimmers where i can't identify a main color and in a separate shelving unit. Base and top coats hidden in drawers. I am just about at capacity. I use lacquergram to help me keep track to try to avoid dupe polishes but can still happen. One of many reasons i love your videos is for the comparisons section. Soooo helpful!

Lovely happy space 😍! One of the things I appreciate the most about your swatch videos are your comparisons. Always makes me think about what I have or don’t that may be similar. Fascinating to organize by season! I am organized by brand currently mostly because I don’t have a good tracking mechanism yet for all of my collection. I love your setup, especially the desk. The clear top with the drawer is so cool! Gorgeous collection too! I have about 270 polishes so I have them in two drawers: one for cremes and one for other finishes. Each drawer is by color in rainbow order with no particular brand organization. I actually love having all the different bottles mixed up together. My non-creme drawer is pretty much full so I want to declutter before I bring in any more polishes.

I think my collection breaks down to about 60% specialty finishes and 40% cremes. I have the entire rainbow of cremes too - I actually used to have many more cremes than other ones. I’m not sure when it switched! Lol
This looks very lovely and I think your setup with the helmers and drafting table is really clever. I strongly dislike it when a hobby room starts looking like a shop and you've definitely avoided that look. I'm still holding off on buying the helmers because I hate the metal sound and feel and it doesn't fit my room's aesthetics, but I feel like I will end up with a helmer down the line because I'm struggling to find any cooler-looking solutions that still have a lot of storage. My collection is wayyyy smaller than yours, though.

I always felt like my desk looked so out of place almost haha but yeah I also don’t love the kitchen butcher counter top as a desk look either 😅 oh yeah I get what you mean about that, there are also the IKEA Alex drawers which I believe are wooden and have a nicer, less filing-cabinet look to them! I think a lot of people go for those when they don’t like the look of Helmers

So fun to see how others organize! I organize all of mine by color groups, and narrower when I can (ex: blue polishes with purple elements, greens with gold flakes). It’s so nice to see that you use more readily available tools to record, ultimately a good video doesn’t need fancy cameras but good -content-! 👏

I am also a fellow slow (very slow) coffee drinker ☕️ I’m fortunate enough to have a closet I can dedicate to polish storage (I have ~400 bottles). I’ve got 2 bookshelves with nail polish racks on them in the closet + 2 wall racks. Tfs, I love seeing other nail spaces and storage!!

You have a very nice nail space and swatch desk. I like that you have them arranged seasonally. I do too. I don’t want to buy a helmer because I don’t want to own that many polishes. I store mine in a chest of drawers in the guest bedroom with my seasonal rack on top. The drawer foam sponge bottle holders work really well. Thanks for sharing your space and polishes.

I organize first by brand and then if I have a lot of one brand, I organize within that brand by formula. I don't have Helmers though, I just have tired display racks on a bookshelf. My collection is a bit over 200. I also have toppers separate on like 3 tiers of one rack, so they aren't primarily grouped with their brand, they are grouped with other toppers first, and then secondarily by brand..
oh i love this!! when i think of the tiered display racks i think of Larissa from polish lab rat’s nail space, its just soo pretty!! if i had a dedicated nail/hobby room i think i would love to have something like that too hehe. and i love that you also keep toppers separate, i’ve seen so many comments saying the same ! my toppers drawer is pretty similar too where i try to keep the brands together hehe
@@PolishedYogi I also keep the toppers on the front tiers of one rack so that I won't forget about them and am more likely to use them. Sometimes for me, out of sight means out of mind. Even though I plan my manis using a spreadsheet and swatch sticks, the ones in the front of the racks still seem to get more attention.

I loved this!! I've been organizing my polish by color but I think I might change it to organizing by formula and then color within the formulas. My favorite hobby is nail polish and my second favorite hobby is organizing my nail polish lol. I have one Holo Taco display shelf that I house my polish picks for the month and base/top coats. Then I have several Makartt clear nail polish organizers. I'm planning to move within the next year so it's not only helping me keep my polishes organized but there's 0 packing involved when the time comes! Love the desk set up. It seems so cozy!! And would absolutely LOVE to see a destash haul. I keep a spreadsheet of my polishes and mark which ones I've used. I haven't had it for a full year yet but at the 1 year mark I plan to go through and figure out which polishes I haven't used, why and if it's because they're not needed in my collection.

You have a moon kitty on your wall! I think how we organize might not be how we organize as we’re not doing comparisons. Do you have swatch sticks to help you? I started putting some things together by color, as I can dupe it. I have my Night Owl lacquer displayed in a hall that doesn’t get light except maybe for seconds in a day. But, I have cute owls on the shelf. I’ve also started creating a box to match what I’ll wear or the holiday of that month. March had a LOT of green. April will have a mix of spring and space colors for the eclipse that will go through here at like 98% totallity.

I love the seasonal organization! I started organizing by seasonal collections, but it really made me feel the need to purchase entire collections. Now mine are by brand, then finish/rainbow order within each brand. I’ve recently started swatching everything on swatch sticks and packing them up in preparation for a move this fall, so it’ll be a project to re-organize after that. I WFH, and I think I want to get a small secondary desk for my personal laptop and nail stuff. We shall see. 😅

Thank you for this video, I love your sleek modern design! And yes, I would definitely like destash videos from you. I may need to get some destashing started because my nail polish number creeps up there toward four digits... I am not quite ready for that! Yet if I want to change it I need to do something. If I don't like a polish I tend to destash it. But I HATE destashing one of two (or more.... could it ever be more than two? spoiler: YESS!) similar polishes that I both like. I organize by color and then within color I organize by season. That seems to make sense to me because I am a seasonal wearer too but I still tend to look for a particular color within that color if that makes sense. My polishes are in boxes, the boxes are in the chest of drawers and the current wears are on a lazy Susan type of thing near my work chair. I admit that I paint my nails at the arm rest of my chair (hush, don't tell anyone, this is our secret lol).

You are totally inspiring me to reorganize my collection by seasons! 😍 I am mostly a seasonal wearer like yourself! Right now I have them organized by brand and the ROYGBIV. I love that you have all your toppers in one drawer! I think this is going to be a Spring project for me! 🥰👏🏻 I also think it will be easier for me to see what dupes I have if I organize by season and then brands. I adore your whole setup!! I need to convince my hubby to let me convert our downstairs office space to a nail art space. Especially since he now is working from home in a separate office. We don’t use the downstairs space much. And I am always using my iPhone or laptop. Not the big computer. Also it warms my heart so so much that the Mangano crystal is in your happy place. 💖 I just love all the details. Especially the mini art work! So pretty!

I love your set up! I have a little 5 drawer cabinet and it's probably about the same size as one helmer. I organize by brand but I would like to organize more to finishes and then brand, I'm going to need another little cabinet though! We have a little book nook area in our house that has a reading area and a small table where I do my nails ❤ plenty of room for another cabinet or two tho! For the future of course 👀

I try to organize by color, but it's really difficult especially with special fx polishes. I freaking love your setup though. The magnetic wand setup is brilliant. The space really feels like you!

of course, glad you enjoyed! i don’t know the name/brand of what I bought, but I think they’re just described as kitchen cabinet/drawer liners from Dollar Tree lol! you can also find rolls at target too maybe for $5 but i haven’t experienced any issues with bottom stickers coming off with either. the Target ones seem a little thicker if anything but very similar otherwise!
I am thinking of organizing my nail polishes per season since I like wearing colors whatever the season is. Right now, I have them per brand. I am still building my collections, so I plan to buy more acrylic organizers.
by brand seems to be the most popular i think! i guess in a way my helmers are also organized like that too 🤔 but seasons def take precedent haha! and ahh acrylic organizers sound so pretty!! 😍

Haha through and through!! 😝 I think by brand is probably the most popular and def makes sense since the bottles all fit nicely too! Maybe you could try swatch sticks or a spreadsheet to help keep track of what you have! I’ve started tracking on a spreadsheet but it’s a process 🙈
Thanks for showing your setup. You crack me up with Emily Demolley 🤣 I have one drawer in an older Ikea dresser similar to the Songstand. I'm all over the place with organizing my polishes. My single polish brands are organized in rainbow order then the two - four polish brands by brand then rainbow. Toppers and UP polishes go together in by brand then rainbow order. If I own an entire collection those go together, but my BKLs are by finish. So the Lion sibling and cousins are together in roughly rainbow order. It really makes no sense 🤣

It must be so much easier to focus on a few drawers each season than combing through your whole collection for your picks. I organize by brand except I have a dedicated topper drawer. Toppers must always be easily accessible to fancy up a nail look 😊
I have no problems splitting up collections and organizing my polishes by color EXCEPT when it comes to mooncat. There is just something about the way they put their collections together that makes me want to keep them together too! Not sure what it is. Boy, you are way more organized than I am though. Lol!

@@PolishedYogi I might think of trying your method of organizing via seasons cus it's true that there are colors I'm gravitated towards depending on the time of year, but then again, I ditched being a seasonal wearer last year, so Idk how THAT would've worked. 😅 Also, my indecisive mind usually does one on each hand, but the idea of having 2 different magnetics that aren't complimentary seems off to me, so I ended up going for Velveteen since I'm warm toned! Question/idea for a future video: how do you decide on the comparisons? Sometimes it you only focus on comparisons within the brand being reviewed and others have comparisons across multiple brands. I would love to know the process.
oh fun question! i guess i don’t have a solid process i stick too, the main thing is what immediately comes to mind when i see a new collection/release lol, like some shades look so familiar and then i’ll try to find them in my collection. sometimes i’ll check reddit too, or comments on instagram to see what people are saying! i generally do try to share comparisons across multiple brands though, i think the only times i’ve had to limit or even omit comparisons were for my sponsored Holo Taco videos at the brand’s request! i probably have done it for mooncat videos too, but only because i just didn’t have any other polishes similar from other brands. i hope that answers it! 😁
i was wondering do you have an alternative to swatch dots like swatch sticks with a label of brand name and polish that you didn't show here? or because you make videos, do you just go back and use your own videos as reference? as i don't make videos, i'm not sure how easy it would be for you to find a certain swatch from all your footage, so i was curious! and i'd love to see a possible destash video in the future!
I only recently started tracking my collection on a spreadsheet! I don’t like the look of swatch rings personally and the dots wouldn’t really help me much 😅 but yeah I actually have gone back to videos before to see certain swatches or comparisons I’ve done! It usually doesn’t take me long since I remember what video I swatched it but I imagine eventually I can lose track with the more videos I make 🙈 but glad you’d be interested in seeing a destash video!!

The whole room definitely feels like your aesthetic.. For polishes you don't use you could do a giveaway or something and just keep a swatch stick and live swatch video for comparison sake? I'm definitely more selective of polishes I get now that I have the basics.

I organize my polishes (over 500) first by brand and then by rainbow order. I keep all my bases and topcoats in a separate container (no matter the brand). I also despise the non-uniform look of bottles when the brand changes the whole look and shape of their bottles, especially caps. This makes it easy to see the older polishes but I don’t like them intermixed, so I treat the old designs as a different brand and then put them in rainbow order. It helps to keep them looking nice and I can access what I’m looking for pretty quickly. Thanks for showing us around. I love your setup 🥰

Such a great idea. This makes so much sense for seasonal wearers. I had a fun time reorganizing my collection of 150 and it looks so nice. I have a rack for the current season and plastic boxes with a handle for my off season storage. I organized by season, then color family, then brand. It helps to see the brands side by side to avoid dupes and not get too focused on just one brand. Thanks for the idea!

I need a mug warmer, I’m a slow coffee drinker as well. One cup will take me like 2 hours lol. I try to keep my nail polish collection under 400, it’s manageable for me that way. I already get overwhelmed trying to decide what to wear. I have a set of drawers and spinning nail rack organized by color. The spinning nail rack has my most used and newest colors, the drawers hold the overflow. I like how you call Emily de molly, it’s cute.

I don’t organize by season, your are so connected with color that you can judge this so easy. For me definitely is easy to organize by the colors of the rainbow and by brands. I actually, recently bought my first helmer and I have been working in swatching my collection and creating my excel file to track my polishes. I will definitely stole the topper door idea. Such a fun video! If you're caught between destashing for your sanity but keeping everything for comparisons would you be able to keep everything on Swatch Wheels and do comparisons that way? I love how thorough you are with your comparisons but I can definitely see maintaining the stash becoming very overwhelming!!!

I WISH I had such a nice setup for nail polish! It looks like a lovely and cozy space to relax and do manicures! I just have all my nail stuff in boxes in a closet. I haul all that out to the dining table for manicures. The polishes, themselves, are in those plastic book-like organizers that many people get from Amazon. They work pretty well for storage, but are not at all as easy for looking at the polishes and for re-arranging as drawers are! As far as polishes organization, for the most part, mine are arranged in the order I received them, which is NOT my highest wish for how they could be arranged!!

I organize by color (I have a lot less polishes though) and within color by finish. I realized it works best for me and I quickly see if I have multiples of a certain kind. I keep creams, thermals, magnetics, toppers separate. I adore your butterfly wing mani - it is stunning.

Thank you! Such a beautiful and relaxing space! I love seeing how others organize their collections. Seasonal is a great idea. But i don't always wear for the season and i'm lazy and don't like to move the polishes around much. I have nail polish shelves that match the color of my bedroom furniture so they act as wall art. But all of the white and silver caps are painted with starrily vantablack as i can't stand the eyesore of white caps here and there. The pewter color mooncat tops escape this treatment. They are dark enough. I do rainbow order. Toppers and polishes with lots of shimmers where i can't identify a main color and in a separate shelving unit. Base and top coats hidden in drawers. I am just about at capacity. I use lacquergram to help me keep track to try to avoid dupe polishes but can still happen. One of many reasons i love your videos is for the comparisons section. Soooo helpful!

Lovely happy space 😍! One of the things I appreciate the most about your swatch videos are your comparisons. Always makes me think about what I have or don’t that may be similar. Fascinating to organize by season! I am organized by brand currently mostly because I don’t have a good tracking mechanism yet for all of my collection. I love your setup, especially the desk. The clear top with the drawer is so cool! Gorgeous collection too! I have about 270 polishes so I have them in two drawers: one for cremes and one for other finishes. Each drawer is by color in rainbow order with no particular brand organization. I actually love having all the different bottles mixed up together. My non-creme drawer is pretty much full so I want to declutter before I bring in any more polishes.

I think my collection breaks down to about 60% specialty finishes and 40% cremes. I have the entire rainbow of cremes too - I actually used to have many more cremes than other ones. I’m not sure when it switched! Lol
This looks very lovely and I think your setup with the helmers and drafting table is really clever. I strongly dislike it when a hobby room starts looking like a shop and you've definitely avoided that look. I'm still holding off on buying the helmers because I hate the metal sound and feel and it doesn't fit my room's aesthetics, but I feel like I will end up with a helmer down the line because I'm struggling to find any cooler-looking solutions that still have a lot of storage. My collection is wayyyy smaller than yours, though.

I always felt like my desk looked so out of place almost haha but yeah I also don’t love the kitchen butcher counter top as a desk look either 😅 oh yeah I get what you mean about that, there are also the IKEA Alex drawers which I believe are wooden and have a nicer, less filing-cabinet look to them! I think a lot of people go for those when they don’t like the look of Helmers

I am also a fellow slow (very slow) coffee drinker ☕️ I’m fortunate enough to have a closet I can dedicate to polish storage (I have ~400 bottles). I’ve got 2 bookshelves with nail polish racks on them in the closet + 2 wall racks. Tfs, I love seeing other nail spaces and storage!!

You have a very nice nail space and swatch desk. I like that you have them arranged seasonally. I do too. I don’t want to buy a helmer because I don’t want to own that many polishes. I store mine in a chest of drawers in the guest bedroom with my seasonal rack on top. The drawer foam sponge bottle holders work really well.

I organize first by brand and then if I have a lot of one brand, I organize within that brand by formula. I don't have Helmers though, I just have tired display racks on a bookshelf. My collection is a bit over 200. I also have toppers separate on like 3 tiers of one rack, so they aren't primarily grouped with their brand, they are grouped with other toppers first, and then secondarily by brand..
oh i love this!! when i think of the tiered display racks i think of Larissa from polish lab rat’s nail space, its just soo pretty!! if i had a dedicated nail/hobby room i think i would love to have something like that too hehe. and i love that you also keep toppers separate, i’ve seen so many comments saying the same ! my toppers drawer is pretty similar too where i try to keep the brands together hehe
@@PolishedYogi I also keep the toppers on the front tiers of one rack so that I won't forget about them and am more likely to use them. Sometimes for me, out of sight means out of mind. Even though I plan my manis using a spreadsheet and swatch sticks, the ones in the front of the racks still seem to get more attention.

I loved this!! I've been organizing my polish by color but I think I might change it to organizing by formula and then color within the formulas. My favorite hobby is nail polish and my second favorite hobby is organizing my nail polish lol. I have one Holo Taco display shelf that I house my polish picks for the month and base/top coats. Then I have several Makartt clear nail polish organizers. I'm planning to move within the next year so it's not only helping me keep my polishes organized but there's 0 packing involved when the time comes!
Love the desk set up. It seems so cozy!! And would absolutely LOVE to see a destash haul. I keep a spreadsheet of my polishes and mark which ones I've used. I haven't had it for a full year yet but at the 1 year mark I plan to go through and figure out which polishes I haven't used, why and if it's because they're not needed in my collection.

You have a moon kitty on your wall! I think how we organize might not be how we organize as we’re not doing comparisons. Do you have swatch sticks to help you? I started putting some things together by color, as I can dupe it. I have my Night Owl lacquer displayed in a hall that doesn’t get light except maybe for seconds in a day. But, I have cute owls on the shelf. I’ve also started creating a box to match what I’ll wear or the holiday of that month. March had a LOT of green. April will have a mix of spring and space colors for the eclipse that will go through here at like 98% totallity.

And yes I’ve tried the Dazzle Dry system before, it’s really great and long lasting, just not for me since I change my polish every few days 😅
I love the seasonal organization! I started organizing by seasonal collections, but it really made me feel the need to purchase entire collections. Now mine are by brand, then finish/rainbow order within each brand.
I’ve recently started swatching everything on swatch sticks and packing them up in preparation for a move this fall, so it’ll be a project to re-organize after that. I WFH, and I think I want to get a small secondary desk for my personal laptop and nail stuff. We shall see. 😅

And yes, I would definitely like destash videos from you. I may need to get some destashing started because my nail polish number creeps up there toward four digits... I am not quite ready for that! Yet if I want to change it I need to do something. If I don't like a polish I tend to destash it. But I HATE destashing one of two (or more.... could it ever be more than two? spoiler: YESS!) similar polishes that I both like.
I organize by color and then within color I organize by season. That seems to make sense to me because I am a seasonal wearer too but I still tend to look for a particular color within that color if that makes sense. My polishes are in boxes, the boxes are in the chest of drawers and the current wears are on a lazy Susan type of thing near my work chair. I admit that I paint my nails at the arm rest of my chair (hush, don't tell anyone, this is our secret lol).

I love your set up! I have a little 5 drawer cabinet and it's probably about the same size as one helmer. I organize by brand but I would like to organize more to finishes and then brand, I'm going to need another little cabinet though! We have a little book nook area in our house that has a reading area and a small table where I do my nails ❤ plenty of room for another cabinet or two tho! For the future of course 👀

I try to organize by color, but it's really difficult especially with special fx polishes. I freaking love your setup though. The magnetic wand setup is brilliant. The space really feels like you!

of course, glad you enjoyed! i don’t know the name/brand of what I bought, but I think they’re just described as kitchen cabinet/drawer liners from Dollar Tree lol! you can also find rolls at target too maybe for $5 but i haven’t experienced any issues with bottom stickers coming off with either. the Target ones seem a little thicker if anything but very similar otherwise!

I have one drawer in an older Ikea dresser similar to the Songstand. I'm all over the place with organizing my polishes. My single polish brands are organized in rainbow order then the two - four polish brands by brand then rainbow. Toppers and UP polishes go together in by brand then rainbow order. If I own an entire collection those go together, but my BKLs are by finish. So the Lion sibling and cousins are together in roughly rainbow order. It really makes no sense 🤣

I have no problems splitting up collections and organizing my polishes by color EXCEPT when it comes to mooncat. There is just something about the way they put their collections together that makes me want to keep them together too! Not sure what it is. Boy, you are way more organized than I am though. Lol!

oh fun question! i guess i don’t have a solid process i stick too, the main thing is what immediately comes to mind when i see a new collection/release lol, like some shades look so familiar and then i’ll try to find them in my collection. sometimes i’ll check reddit too, or comments on instagram to see what people are saying! i generally do try to share comparisons across multiple brands though, i think the only times i’ve had to limit or even omit comparisons were for my sponsored Holo Taco videos at the brand’s request! i probably have done it for mooncat videos too, but only because i just didn’t have any other polishes similar from other brands. i hope that answers it! 😁

I only recently started tracking my collection on a spreadsheet! I don’t like the look of swatch rings personally and the dots wouldn’t really help me much 😅 but yeah I actually have gone back to videos before to see certain swatches or comparisons I’ve done! It usually doesn’t take me long since I remember what video I swatched it but I imagine eventually I can lose track with the more videos I make 🙈 but glad you’d be interested in seeing a destash video!!

The whole room definitely feels like your aesthetic.. For polishes you don't use you could do a giveaway or something and just keep a swatch stick and live swatch video for comparison sake? I'm definitely more selective of polishes I get now that I have the basics.
