Saw SK in Boston back in 1992 with Sweetwater at the Axis . My friend Stephanie was friends with them back in Florida so we got in free and hung with them a bit . I like the album and still have my copy .
SWEET! I never got to see them live... don't think they came over here in Canada... :( Thats awesome when you have contacts with bands and can go hang out with them! Great album eh? Thanks for watching and commenting!
Awesome album, great discussion, thanks guys. My final rating is 8.6. This was my intro to the band and going back to first one after this came out, it was good but this was a great improvement. Spoilers - I like Water and Devil in the Details even more I think, as a big fan I bought those on their release. Bastards is an outlier, not horrible, just not the same. 1 Cruelty - 9 -Excellent mood setter for what's about to come 2 Hostile Youth - 9 - Awesome throat grabber with a killer riff and vocals 3 Feel The Same Way - 10 - could imagine an arena with fist up chanting this one - killer track, love the keys for feels. 4 Freedom - 9 - would be a 10 but didn't care for the breakdown in the bridge 5 God Of 42nd Street - 8 - puts brakes on but still solid piece 6 My Dog - 7 -one of those you're in the mood or not, I've experienced both, don't want this to effect the final score, lol! 7 Peppermint Tribe - 9 - Bielers riffs/solos carry this one, think I like it better than it is, haha! 8 Love Is On The Way - 10 - all time great ballad, simple, beautiful, perfect. 9 The Lizard - 7 - good song but too repetitive, doesn't have much character 10 All Alright - 8 - another one boosted by a great riff and chorus 11 Sleep - 9 - short sweet interlude 12 All I Want - 10 - this is what I hear as a perfect song. feels forever. 13 Body Bags - 8 - thrashing fun, simple 14 Miss Jones - 7 - solid tune, just ok 15 World Goes Round - 9 - Harmony, melody, chunky - sublime 16 Chanel - 8 - silly fun
Hehehe! Wow! Thanks for watching and for those awesome comments! I did have to google the definition of the word "Outlier" though... :) Interesting, i shall have to go listen to 'Water" again... and purchase "Devil in the Details" somehow (hope it gets a vinyl release)... And yes, "My Dog" has affected my overall score... if I hadn't counted it, my score would have been much closer to mine! Everything has similar scores except for that one! :)
If you haven't listened to Devil in the Details, everyone is really missing out. That album is in my top 50 albums of all time. The bands versatility is outstanding.
That album with the lady with the electrical tape, is that Vice’s Hot Just Looking at You? If so that album is way better than I thought it would be. I really want to get a hold of the second CD Na Na Naughty.
I considered picking up " The Lizard "album in a stack of 5 Metal Records at a fair. Together with L.A Guns " Cocked And Loaded ". I got a Exciter and Heathen Album instead. Kevin would probably say I made the wrong choice!. I remember seeing that it had been re-issued. I think some of the song titles might have had something to do with me not getting it.🦎🦎🦎
Not just Kevin... even *I* would say it's a wrong choice! hahahaha Just kidding! But yeah, I don't own any LA Guns... they never really did anything for me... but Saigon Kick (the first two anyway) are definitely worth it! Thanks for watching my friend!
My Dog is a horrible track, I’ve never listened to the Saigon Kick and that was my first exposure thanks to this episode. I’m terrified to listen to the rest of the album.

Yeah, I will definitely get "Devil in the Details" if it's ever released on vinyl (as I no longer have a CD player)... doh! :)

Yip! That's the one! I honestly bought it for the cover at the time... not bad at all!
I went on Metal Legacy Records webpage and saw the Na Na Naughty CD but it's sold out.. :(
@@offthecharts2272 yeah, it’s sold out everywhere and seems to be going for around 45usd . Ouch, it must be good.

LOL Don't let "My Dog" dictate how this album sounds... as you can see, I gave every song quite high marks except for "My Dog" which had a ZERO! :)
@ you did, I’m adding this album to my list of albums to check out this week.
Where's the comments?
@@SONIC-BOOM-TV 🤷🏻♂️. They will come…
