Welcome to The Warning rabbit hole JD!!😄👍 One of the coolest things about these young ladies, is that you can't really classify them in any one genre. They're not just metal, or hard rock or pop, because they switch it up just when you least expect them to. Pau's (the drummer), rock ballads, will rip your heart out, and Dany's hard rock vocals are really hard to beat. Ale's wicked complex bass lines defy logic, and her backup vocals are perfect. They have worked on their 'wall of sound', and for a 3 piece, they've managed to get the best out of their instruments, as well as their vocals. That said, off stage, they're just as sweet and goofy as they can be!🤪😍 New subscriber here.. looking forward to *MORE.* (inside joke).😉 🤘😎🤘

As Devon from Lava Records says about them, "They aren't a female rock band. They aren't a young rock band. They're a ROCK BAND." pretty much sums it up there. As amazing as their music is and as mesmerizing as their live shows are, it all pales in comparison to the people that they are. Genuine, hard working, and down to earth young women who appreciate everything they have achieved so far and while they aim for bigger they do not lose track of what got them here. They treat their fans like family and their crew genuinely are brought into that family atmosphere on the road.

Far and away, my favorite band EVER! I'm 55 and have seen the greats, most several times. All those shows are just "meh, I went. They were pretty good." memories, when compared to the five, soon to be six, The Warning shows I've been to. They are quickly rising to the top of the Rock'n'Roll game, and nothing can stop them!

    Great 2-fer reaction JustDunk!
The Villarreal Velez sisters are amazing songwriters and performers from Mexico who live in Monterrey, San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight over her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards.
Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI CENTURY BLOOD", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards.
Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "ESCAPE THE MIND"; and it is amazing.
Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage.
After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020.
They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called "MAYDAY" October 8th, 2021. The entire album was released June 24th, 2022: called "ERROR". "Disciple" is my favorite track!
The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock.
Both parents are professionals (engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic bilingual school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico.
They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old.
Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC.
When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. Shortly thereafter they got "real" instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Amazing they are 23, 21 and 18 years old and have already written, arranged, and released #46 original songs.
I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California. I had the opportunity to meet with them 3 more times during the 10 shows I attended on their 2022 MAYDAY TOUR and 2023 ERROR WORLD TOUR
Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans.
🗣 Thank you for ALL your support!
    🤘🤓🍿

Great double feature of two of their best live songs! I don’t care the genre, they mix some nice elements of classic rock and hard rock, punk, grunge, alternative to their own sound! Three instruments, three voices, different layers and a wall of sound! Saw them one month ago in London, they have such a great stage presence and lots of charisma! If you can, go to their shows one day, these videos show only some percent of the real live experience! Thanks, greetings from Germany 👍⚡️🤘

Dude! Fans of The Warning are hard-core. I have to be up at 5AM but I just got out of bed to have the pleasure of watching you experience the best rock trio in the world right now. They've been at it for a while but the last 18 months have seen them play about 130 shows in the states and Europe, a handful of festivals, open for Guns n Rose's in their hometown, open for Muse in Mexico then get asked to come over and do more shows in Europe. They'll be superstars soon and still they're the nicest people you could hope to meet. Buckle up and enjoy the ride.

A great reaction, JD. I saw The Warning live in Charlotte, N.C. in May 2023 and they were SUPERB. One of the best concerts I've ever been to. To put that last statement into context, I'm 68 years old and lived through the eras these young ladies revere. They are indeed the Real Deal. I haven't been this impressed by a band in decades. Please, more reactions to the Warning!! Cheers.

I am 64 years old and feeling younger by the day, now that I have young musical artists who have become my all time favorites. Exciting to see their rise to superstardom. I have tickets to see The Warning for my 4th time in the past 16 months. They kick ass live. I love they are storytellers so we can sing along and they are masters on their instruments. Add awesome, meaningful lyrics sung with beautiful harmonies. I highly recommend, if you haven't, checking out 17 year old Angelina Jordan. She is my favorite singer storyteller.

"These chicks got riffs." They're masters at the riff. This song (Evolve) actually started with Dany (guitar) and Ale (bass) coming up with the riff first. Pau then wrote the melody and lyrics. Usually, their process begins with Pau. Disciple started when they were on vacation and happened to be in a store. I think it was in Canada and Pau had this epiphany she had to share immediately with her sisters.

  • @MrJest2
    @MrJest2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

Great reaction! Pau, the drummer, isn't even touching the surface of what she does on stage in the "Evolve" studio clip. This first tune is usually their "encore" song, and she uses audience engagement in the break point before the last chorus (and her "Scream of Destruction") to amp up the crowd. This makes sense, when opening for other bands, where you want to create enthusiasm. But it works in a headlining show too. The thing they most love is performing before an audience; that's what keeps them energized and motivated. While most bands try to recreate their studio sound on stage, _The Warning_ does precisely the opposite. Which, to me at least, is an absolutely *excellent* thing!!! 😋
Incidentally, I wear Ale's style shirts all the time, especially about now when it's hot in AZ. 🤪

They’ve reported to TWA that TW4 (their 4th album untitled) is mostly written and they’re waiting for a schedule break to go into pre-production and begin actually recording it.
Fun Fact: the word soon is the most frustrating word in TWA history. Their album Error was delayed by the pandemic and whenever they would get asked about its release they would answer “soon” and it became a bit of a running joke with them and their fans.
Dany was already asked about when TW4 would be released during a recent Instagram livestream on Dany Day and her answer, of course, was soon.

Yes, sir. There is an entire army of us old folks who have been missing rock over the past 25-30 years. These young women (still just 18, 21, and 23) have brought it back to us. Love it. Live is where to see them best. They are phenomenal on stage. Any of the Teatro performances are fantastic.
Since you are seeming interested in continuing on The Warning path, I would suggest a three video series so you can see how far they have come. The Warning have a wonderful relationship with Metallica’s Enter Sandman.
    1) They did a video cover in their basement when they were 14, 12, and 9 that their father uploaded to TH-cam for the grandparents to see. Start here.
    2) Metallica invited Alessia Cara to participate in the Blacklist 30th Anniversary album. Alessia’a team contacted The Warning and the two groups wrote, recorded, and produced an entirely new version of Sandman in only ten days that ended up being the lead track on Metallica’s anniversary album. The official music video for that is a great second video.
    3) The Warning then did their Sandman version at the same Teatro Metropolitan concert you have been watching. This live performance is epic.
Several reactors have done these back to back in the same reaction video and been blown away. By your reactions so far, i think you might really enjoy this.

The vast majority of TW fans agree that this power-trio is exponentially better performing live and in the extensive catalog of their own works (in whose creation, composition and arrangements all 3 of them are involved) there's not a bad song and It's really difficult to choose the order of their songs in a "Top-Ten" because most of their creations have all the attributes to be part of this list.
beyond the musicality emitted by the instruments, masterfully executed...
Or the stupendous voices, each day more mature and better...
Of the deep lyrics, inspired by his innate genius...
And the paraphernalia of the "show", which achieves its goal...
It's inescapable that this moves you from the depths of your emotions when you observe what the girls are doing in their performance.
It's more than a pleasure to see how Pau (and her sisters) really enjoys what she does, which seems to be a game that amuses her so much that she gives herself up, contributing all her emotions and, at the same time, allows herself to be the receptacle of everything that can transmit what's happening to her. happening around you, transforming everything into a virtuous circle of unsurpassed quality. Well, surely only surmountable by themselves.
And they've so much mastered what they're doing that they only have to give themselves completely, passionately (as Latinoamericans know how to do), to what they like to do best and most, in a way in which they've fun and fully enjoy it.
For this and many more things TW will conquer the world of rock!!
    INEVITABLE
I subscribe to your channel because I hope to see many reactions from you to my favorite band of all time, whose potential will take it in the not too distant future to occupy a place among the bands that are legends.

I'm 76 and the great guitar bands of yore were big when I was in college. Cream, The Stones, The Who, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, etc., so I consider this band to be a rock and roll revival band. For me, one bonus is no 10 minute long guitar or drum solos.

Glad you found The Warning. Their lice performances are so much better than the studio stuff. I urge you to checkout their official TH-cam Page.

If your really into bands that everyone is a singer, I would suggest Gachari-Spin with I Wish I, were talking about ac6 piece band where everyone sings somthing in this live video.

I think doing all the songs they’ve released from the Teatro Metropolitan show last year would be good for you. I know you’ve done Evolve and Choke? videos already, but the concert vids are really good. I think there is 6 or 7. Disciple (from this reaction), Dust to Dust, Enter Sandman, Animosity, Choke, Money, and….Evolve maybe? I don’t remember if they’ve released Evolve. The other song I would suggest is Narcissista from this concert. The warning hasn’t released the solo video yet like the others, but if you search “The Warning Narcissista with Beto Ramos” it should get you a decent video. Pau steps out from behind the set to front the band. The song is in Spanish, but understanding the words is NOT necessary.

The only thing about this live version of Disciple is that Ale's bass is too low in the mix! But I'm a bass player, so of course, I would say that!
