This is the prologue song for their concept album Queen of the Murder Scene. At the ages of 13, 15, and 17 these young superstars, put out a concept album and it’s one of my favorite concept albums. 🤘😎❤️⚠️

It is a fine line trying to mic their concerts, especially in Mexico and South America! The crowd sings so loud they drown out the band’s vocals, and they know every word from every song, it doesn’t matter if the song is in English or Spanish!! Please more of TW!!!😊⚡️

All of the songs performed at the Teatro Metropolitan concert are fire. Highly recommend it. There are 22 songs, so lots to choose from. The Warning is a deep dive for anyone looking for videos of their performances. They have a large social media footprint with perhaps the best documented history of their development as a Rock band fromt heir early childhood roots up to the present. Not only is there the stuff they have posted on their TH-cam channel, but they have an highly active fanbase that post their own videos of their concerts. The quality of the video an d the sound varies on those, of course, but there are some folks who follow them round to capture their performances on a regular basis. TW have been a group for over ten years, starting them they were literally children. They had a cover of Enter Sandman go viral for them in 2015 and their star has been on the rise ever since. They are three sisters from Monterrey, Mexico. All are classically trained pianists who fell in love with Rock music from watching videos their parents used to play of Rock concerts from such groups as Queen, AC/DC, and Pink Floyd. After playing the video game Rock Band, they decided they wanted to "do that" for a living, being a Rock Band. They chose their instruments and started learning, individually. Eventually they realized they had the makings of a viable group and so they began performing together. They have Two EPs and three albums released, though one of the EPs contains six songs that also appear on the later released album. So there are close to 50 original songs that have recorded. They have a single titled Narcisista that was released as a single, their first song recorded in Spanish. They added a second Spanish song to their repertoire on their most recent album. They also recorded a collaboration with Alessia Cara, a cover of Enter Sandman that is a reimagining fo the song that appears on Metallica's Blacklist album project.
BTW CDMX is a Spanish abbreviation for Ciudad de Mexico, meaning Mexico City. And your pronunciation of Teatro Metropolitan is fine. Of course, Dany, Pau, and Ale speak Spanish as their primary language but they are bilingual and speak English with hardly any accent. Though their vocabulary is extensive, there are times during some English interviews that they struggle to find the correct word to use. They have usually composed their music in English because they are more comfortable with that, having been exposed to English Rock songs from a very early age. This caused them some trouble with critics in Mexico who felt they are betraying their cultural heritage by preferring to perform their music in English. The song Narciststa was released as a response to their critics, basically tellin them to F. O. Of course they love their country and are proud of their culture. The irony is that because they have embraced using English as a vehicle for promoting their music, they have become internationally recognized as cultural ambassadors of Mexico. They are also the first Latin Rock band to be signed my a major US Label.
Re: the sound for the concert, especially Pau's mic. They use filters and gates on the mic to enhance her vocal over the bleed through of the drums. The crowd noice is definitely de-emphasized in the overall mix. The crowd for the concert were especially noisy, as seems to be the rule in Latin Americans Rock concerts. I've watched some fan cam videos from this show and it was hard to heard the group at times. The concert audio and video were professionally done. The video was shot in 8K from multiple cameras. The audio is taken directly from the concert mixer board - which is another reason for the diminished crowd sounds.

The girls went to a bilingual school, where the lessons were taught in English. Their home town of Monterrey is in northern Mexico, and is a hub for international business. Their parents made the conscious decision to have the kids learn english because it would set them up for success, no matter what they chose to do for a living. One of the family activities they grew up doing was watching live concerts of bands, classic rock bands who all spoke english. When the girls started writing their own music, they found it much easier to write in english, because the language fit the genre they loved performing. At home, and in their every day lives they do speak spanish (although they have said that their spanish vocabulary is lacking compared to their english). 14:28

I´m mexican and I don't think their Spanish vocabulary is lacking compared to their English at all, I would say exactly the opposite, which is expected, of course.
The times they speak in English are when they are on stage or working with English only speakers.
They speak Spanish in their normal lives, never English,

    • @ChadHuisinga

@@sergioperez2594 Sergio, I wonder if both statements are true. They obviously speak fluent Spanish but possibly from listening and recording so much music in English they find it easier to write music in English. A study shows that when you learn another language your brain changes and you think differently. The beautiful sisters being bilingual may have led to how amazing their talent as musicians is. They are amazing, beautiful and utterly sublime. The world is a better place because they grace us with their presence!

    • @sergioperez2594
      @sergioperez2594 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@ChadHuisinga Definitely, they find easier to write music in English, they have stated that many times, but that is, in my opinion, because English is an easier language to master than Spanish, not many Spanish spoken teenagers have already mastered spoken Spanish, let alone, Spanish writing, and also because, as you said, they grew up listening to English music.
I agree 100%, these young ladies are a gift for the world, I'm mexican but I would be a fan of them even if they were from Mars😂...actually, aren't they?🤣

In Disciple, the drummer Pau (“pow”) traded off lead vocals with Dany the guitarist. Dany sings lead in the majority of their songs, though all 3 sisters are very good singers. The bassist doesn’t really like to sing lead, but will help out if Dany isn’t feeling well. Pau tends to sing more of the emotional ballads. They write and sing mainly in English because the rock music they grew up listening to was in English, and they say it is more difficult to write rock lyrics in Spanish. I don’t think the crowd was mic’d during this concert; the band audio was taken and mixed directly from the sound board. 😎👍

two of their songs ARE in spanish, Narcisista and Martirio, the first an answer to some mexican critics about their writing in english, but the second, a beautiful song in spanish

They're a few thousands of us if not millions that do speak both Spanish and English fluently, furthermore most if not all music lovers that are not bilingual learn the actual lyrics and meaning of the songs out of the passion for their artists, it is why a lot of international bands love touring not only Mexico but also South America. Fyi it's not you internet people, it's The Warning Army! Check out a live The Warning performance from Argentina you'll see what I mean about true passion. Anyway good reaction aside from the occasional babbling off topic. Greetings from Guadalajara Mexico!

Ale's the secret weapon of this band. Pau & Dany are extremely awesome.. But I think Ale's going to take her sister's by the hand and lead them to levels of musical excellence we may not expect.. because she is a perfectionist & really very-very smart. Her taste in preferred music to listen to is truly inspiring... I've checked out the bands / playlists she's said she's listening to.. it's WOW ! The sleeping beauty is going to come alive in the future.. just a feeling I keep getting about her ."THE END" I'm done talkin..see ya Mike..TWA🎶🤟☮️

I agree. I think dhe is more measured in her own growth as an artist. She already has more experience and matury than most 3 times her age but it looks she is in no hurry to show off like her sisters... yet.

Here are my thoughts regarding writing songs in English; there are lots of people worldwide who speak English, so automatically you open up your lyrics to a large section of the world and secondly not all languages fit easily in with rock 'n roll timing and structure, like for example French, as it is my primary language and I can confirm that while it is possible to write good lyrics in French that will work with rock music, it is a whole lot more work, while a language like English fits very easily. The girls from The Warning mentioned that the 2 songs that they have written in Spanish were much more difficult to write lyrics for and that the English lyrics come much more easily, even though it is a secondary language for them.

Harris basically carries the melody in a LOT of Maiden songs. One of the things that first attracted me to the band, because it's so _different_ . But the thing about Iron Maiden that fixed them in my "favorite band" status in my mind has always been their _lyrics_ . Thoughtful and meaningful... and that's *precisely* the aspect of _The Warning_ that grabbed my attention from the beginning. Intelligent and meaningful lyrics. These young (and indeed starting when they were _very_ young) ladies have a lot to say, and do so extremely well.
Some will recommend that you carry on with this whole album, from pretty much any set of videos - mix and match, you kind of can't go wrong (although I do believe they just get *better* as they get older and more experienced) - and I'd say you would be pleasantly surprised, since you seem to enjoy the whole "album as a holistic piece of art", which this introductory tune of a concept album _is_ . But if you don't want to take that whole journey as a series, pretty much any tune from them will work the same way. You won't be disappointed. 😋

Paulina is the principal songwriter for the band - she also shines as a frontwoman when she steps away from the drum kit - Narcisista at Teatro Metropolitan (2022) is a good example, when her drum coach Beto Ramos sits in on drums - th-cam.com/video/M6F6lM1PxdM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=R7OoILCt19qX8gbp

They do have 2 songs that are in Spanish, Narcicista and Matirio. They prefer to write in English because as they said in one of their blogs, it is easier for them to do rhyming lyrics as English has many more words than Spanish does. Plus. they grew up in a house where all the songs they liked were in English.

Watching your reaction from the old colony, the former capital of the British Raj to be more exact, I find your statement regarding The Warning singing in English as a marketing gimmick, weird. I got the feeling that only Anglo-Saxons or citizens of the Anglosphere are entitled to the use of English. You will be amazed to know that there are millions of us spread over the globe who are extremely proficient in English besides our native language. Its called bilingualism.
I suggest that you read the lyrics of The Warning songs to understand how deep & insightful they are as artists. Musicianship is one part of a song. What a band is saying & how its saying being the other important aspect of a song. The sisters excel in both. Hope you enjoy their profound metaphorical takes on today's society - mostly written by the drummer, Pau.

Speaking of Iron Maidian, there's an all female band from Japan named LoveBites playing classic 80s metal, only better !! They draw inspiration from Slayer, Judas Priest, Megadeath, etc. and Maidian. Try this song " Break the Wall, " live from Zepp DiverCity Tokyo, 2020. These Lady's are legit !! 😏♥️🎙🎸🎹🥁😎🤘

This post is about "your reaction "EL J Reacts" !
Have you ever seen the move Dances With Wolves? Near the start of the movie, Kevin Coster's character rides with a hideous man that rambles and won't shut up. You reminded me of that character that just rambled aimlessly, especially when you stated if you do specific thing you "lose the audience" , well at that point you were losing me, but I insisted on watching the video till the end.
