Ren is a genius lyricist. Double and triple entendres, rhyme schemes, within rhyme schemes.

If Jenny & Screech was your first Ren then I understand completely why you'd be afraid to return to him. A lot of his music is deep and emotionally grabbing, but none of his other work is as flat out brutal as Jenny & Screech (which I think is why it's requested so much). Reactors usually start with "Hi Ren", that's an emotional one but in a very different way. Ren can sing, he can rap, he can write poetry and he can play several instruments (very well, self taught on all). He doesn't always do Bardcore (as you see here, it's a song cover), and to my knowledge the rest of his extensive catalogue does not contain any more tragedies.

Im lucky i discovered him busking near a festival i was working in brighton. 37 yrs in live music production. Im 58 . Ozzy and Neil Young are my gods. But Ren is the musician i needed all my life. Its hard not to tear up on his epics. Go through all his repertoire. Not even to react to it. Do it for yourself. Hes a genre hopping multiinstrumental genius. He's special. My dark year is almost over. This week im coming back to my socials and I'll explain why i hid from family , friends, and worse myself. I grew up poor, and now I'm in the French Riveria sounds fancy. I’ve had music as the most consistent part of my life for over 50 years. Love everything Gregorian chant, to baroque, to tin pan alley to every genre up to the millennium, liked music this century, but never moved/excited by it, until accidentally seeing hi Ren on you tube, Feb 23. He’s like nothing I’ve ever heard. I’m not a sheep, don’t agree with all he says, but he does so much so well and so varied it’s uplifting. Also inspired me to explore other newer music. Bit waffley, but it’s a feeling to be expressed. Love your reactions.
