Connecting Main water line to water tank in Gravity Fed Drip Irrigation
In this on Gravity fed Drip Irrigation system
we will show you how to make connection between main water line and water tank using Grommet and connectors
we will be using a gate value to stop and start main water line from water tank
from this value we will connect water line going to different lines of plants
Now we will drill a 16 mm hole to fix Grommet in the water tank using a 16 mm Hole drill bit using a electrical drill.
The grommet will ensure leak proof connection of water pipe to tank
ok now we will make a 16 mm hole in water tank
we will drill hole 1 inch above the base of water tank to avoid dust getting into the drip irrigation system
One big problem faced in Drip Irrigation is choking of Emitters by dust particles
If there is any dust particles in the water tank they will settle in bottom
and drip system will get clean water which will not clog the Emitters
Now we attempt to drill hole in water tank
hole got drilled rather easily and I do not know if it is sharp drill or weak drum
Now next step is to fix Grommet in the water tank
we will push the small side of Grommet first into the water tank
Now Grommet is properly fitted to water tank after little adjustment from inside of tank
Now we will connect 16 mm connector to grommet to which main water line will be connected
In next video will check and install working model of Drip Irrigation

Water tank can be filled the way it is convenient to you.
Water tank increases the water flow due to gravity. You can try connecting main water line to water pump and if water pressure is enough you can remove water tank
