3-1 monarchs.
ED monarchs can out anything shaddolls throws at them and dont even have to use the ED so they can avoid shaddoll fusion, also they couldnt care less about winda.
Nah too much interuprion with artifacts super poly and winds does effect their special summoning like their little monarchs their whole extra deck engine I don't feel like it's going to be too one sided
Fluffals weren't destroyed this tournament, they were deleted from existence.

People who say "Floodgates are skillful" have never have Vanity's Emptiness flipped on them
Ain't nothing wrong with vanity's it was broken at 3 one was fair dimensional barrier was the unfair one
It was flipped with lots of skill. Not everyone has the ability to careful grab a squared cardboard and patiently flip it faceup with your hands. Such action requires a lot of precision in your hand. Very skillfull.

@@thenightstalker6165 no. Every card in yugioh is different. Different fonts + ink used can make a card heavier or lighter than others. Especially rarity. It takes skill to flip a card like Skillfull Drain. The amount of text in Skillfull Drain is perfect to give it 0.000001 g more weight than all other cards. This may seem insignificant, but it is not for an electron. Really skillfull.
Read "the Art of Yugioh" by TrollMaster. When he did his thesis for his PhD in Cardboard Physics, he explicitly stated that Yu-gi-oh! Cards who are currently found in the banlist were printed with a different type of ink than other cards. Konami © had already planned for Skill Drain to be hit during their planning stages back in the 1990s, before even the card game or tv show was even thought of! This is one of the many reason rare cards were inflating in prices such as the infamous Crush Card. UpperDeck tried to print all cards equally but printed counterfeited cards later on with different weights.
Why else did you see that GX character train hard to draw a card? Drawing cards in yugioh is a skill. Flipping heavier cards like SkillDrain also requires skill.

@@thenightstalker6165 Honestly no, Vanity's is worse at 1 than at 3 for a format. If it's at 3, you should be prepared for the threat. I played back then, and you just stuffed 3 MST into every deck you played so you wouldn't auto-lose to it. At 1 though, it's just a lucksack. You wouldn't (necessarily) play a bunch of backrow removal for one threat.
But also it's always degenerate. Definitely better off banned.
Monarchs 3-1 unless of course the BRICKs decide to ruin the day..

To be honest with you, I don't even know why you bothered to put Fluffals into the CBL cup... loses to pretty much the bracket it was in.
Love to see Nekroz and Zoodiacs in playoffs, but will be sad to see Shadolls go.

Lithum, No matter what happens in this duel. I'm still upset that fluffals got screwed over big time with this group. They never had a chance to get out of this group. I hope next year they'll get placed in a better group.
Are we going to see some full power MR3 decks vs MR 4 decks soon? ED Monarchs 3-1 shaddolls can’t keep their tempo up.
Can old decks survive SPYRAL, Gouki, ThunDra, and Orcust? Striker, Gren Maju, Salad, and Trickstar seem like the only fair matchups.

These videos are so cool, but its kinda sad that some of our favorite decks fall victim to power creep. This would be way cooler if yugioh had set rotation to provide slightly more balance across the decks. It would be cool if in the future you could set up a draft cross-banlist cup. get 8 people to draft from a list of decks and play against each other using all the decks to accumulate a group score rather then a score for every deck. It would be kinda cool to see full power spyrals knocked out early because they couldnt make up for the poor deferential made by decks like gladiator beasts, or bujins (decks that have historically done poorly in the cbc)
Shaddoll Fusion and Construct will come in clutch. 3-2 Shaddoll.
You should do Fluffals vs Bujins to see who is the worst deck in the Cup kappa
3-2 Monarchs. They're both really explosive but Monarchs has a handful of ways to deny value for Shaddoll.
Lithium, a little idea for the next cross banlist series. Because if master rule 4. Why not upgrade the decks to be able to handle the new format. Like use the banned cards from those formats, but give them the new cards needed to be able to keep up. Imagine modern zombies with card if safe return against full power salamangreat. Just push this game to it's limits. For a grand tournament.
I just have to hope that ED Monarchs brick 3 times so my lovely Construct can move on c:
They took one game more than I expected; not bad. As for the next, I expect ED Monarchs to take it over Dolls. Dolls are great, but ED Monarch have plenty of tools to deal with a Doll field.

How does Lithium decide wich deck goes first? Wouldn't be better for the deck with less votes to decide if they want to go first or second? It would make the votes be more impactful on the games an therefore involve the community even more. Just a suggestion. Love the videos Lithium!
The intial game is decided by a coin toss (I think), then every other game the loser of the previous game gets to decide if they want to go first or second.

Extra Deck Monarchs take the win over Shaddolls 3-1, assuming no bricks. Ehther + Stormforth, and Majesty's Fiend are very strong against Shaddolls. Majesty also helps against the Artifact engine. Shaddolls have a chance if they play their cards right as unlike their Domain matchup they can actually make use of Shaddoll Fusions full effect and a well timed Super Poly can be game changing since most of Monarchs' monsters are either light or dark.
ED Monarchs don't have to use the extra deck to win, Monarchs 3-1
Alright that was a bit sad, but at least it wasn't as sad as the True Draco vs Satellar match-up. Now that was truly disgusting.
I predict 3 - 1 in favor of Monarchs, ED Monarchs is pretty good at breaking boards but they can brick hard.
If the next match was Domain Monarchs, I'd say an ez 3-0 for Monarchs since they don't use the Extra Deck but we're talking about EDM here which makes Shaddoll Fusion's 2nd effect live, so Shaddolls might have a slight chance. Still calling 3-1 for EDM though, deck's far too busted.

Hands Down, Monarchs have way too much advantage over Shaddolls. I am more curious of the match up they will have against Zoodiacs if they go far in the Winner's bracket.

As long as ED monarchs don’t brick they shouldn’t have too hard of a time against Shaddolls but Shaddolls can OTK after setup so I wanna say Monarchs win 3-2.
And Fluffals ends up as the worst deck of the tournament alongside Bujins, so sad. Next match Extra Deck Monarchs should win 3-1.
