I really loved this explanation of the Midcentury Modern Era. I've frequently heard advice on how to design based on the popular elements of the time, but this was the first video that has really deep-dived into WHY the style was popular, and I appreciated your insight on how to utilize that knowledge for modern trends. Thank you so much. I really like this style, and after I made the video I redesigned my living room in Mid-century style, complete with Eames chair which I had stashed upstairs, unused, in my office. Everything old is new again!
Art Deco was concurrent with the earlier styles of Mid-century Modern such as those from the 1920s Bauhaus. However, the style is different, although in many instances compatible with Mid-Century Modern. I appreciate hearing from you. I will be doing a program on Art Deco one of these days!
