    Great video. I hadn’t seen anyone install an oil cooler on a Kona N yet. Very informative. Curious to see how it proves it’s worth. Kona N Gang! 😊

      Yeah outside of normal driving being lower temps, I think it'll be cooler as well on track! Might be more of a next year to test but i'll keep ya'll updated!

      Just means you’re sticking with KONAN which is key…. appreciate your pioneerism.

    This really should have come on the car from the factory❗️

    Will it be less or more than a year until you make a video titled "Installing the AWD system from a regular Kona onto my car" 😁

      Hah, thats way outta my league! I watch Devin Niemela with his AWD civic, and its insane!

      @@CaliforniaKonaN Yeah I doubt anybody is going to do it. Too much engineering and not enough of a market/viewership I think. I might look into an OIl Cooler at some point. Though the hottest I had the oil temp was around 210°F after doing about 125ish mph for 5 Minutes on the Autobahn. Went down to 200ish after driving the last 5 minutes and a few degrees less once I got to work. Lowering that might not be a bad idea, even if it's right within tolerance.

      @@captainsewerrat yeah even without the cooler, some hard pulls, pushing for a bit this car handles it well! I think at the track is where I'll see the most improvement(s). I hit 265 on a hot day last time so im guessing i'll be around 240? Regardless extra protection for the engine couldn't hurt.
      Also the insane think to do would put the ioniq5N platform and power on this thing haha but even then that's a ton of work, lol i'll probably stick to bolt ons only, though an ecu tune is enticing!

    Hi Gavin, I have been sub’d for a while watching your content - Thank You!!
    A couple questions, as I am starting some mods after 1.5yrs of ownership. What is the 1:58 best forum online for Kona N’s content/classifieds? I have some stock wheels and tires to sell. I was wondering if you have investigated two piece lightweight rotors for our cars. I have found some big brake kits on shark racing but I am fine with the stock calipers. Any final thoughts on the eibach lowering springs? Thanks again Gavin!!!

      Hey man thanks for the support and awesome you're starting to mod! The forum on FB I follow is called Veloster N, EN And KN Parts Group. Here's the link:
      facebook.com/groups/830913174337115
      As far as rotors I've seen those from Fella (which I think are on the shark racing site) but seen just the rotors are ebay here:
      www.ebay.com/itm/125788402297
      N75 also has their own brand and sell the just the rotors:
      n75motorsports.ca/collections/kona-n/products/elantra-n-ultra-high-performance-front-floating-rotor-oem-replacement
      Also Neotech makes a floating rotor kit but only seen it as part of a kit on Uniq Performanc'es website. There's probably the option for just the rotors I feel.
      uniqperformance.ca/product-category/hyundai-2/2022-kona-n/brakes-2022-kona-n/big-brake-kit-brakes-2022-kona-n/
      I think R1 concepts makes rotors but not sure if they're listed. Also a lot of the kits I've seen unless you get a whole kit are just the front rotors and not the back.
      As far as eibach springs, I love em! Just for the drop alone but pairing it with 18s to me is the best combo. I know it might defeat the purpose of the more higher ride height for the KNs though but all in what you want to go for. There's also H&R springs that I hear are great and drop even lower (1.4"in all around).

    Living in Az. interested in this mod also get back to us on the temp results from city to freeway driving.

    • @CaliforniaKonaN
      @CaliforniaKonaN  ปีที่แล้ว

      AZ for sure I feel would benefit! I'm seeing around 15 some 20 degrees lower just city / freeway driving. Whereas before it would be about the same as engine temp if not higher. Haven't taken it to the track but so far so good! I'll see if I can do an update video down the line.

    Can you please tell us the specs aka HP and torque

    • @CaliforniaKonaN
      @CaliforniaKonaN  ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't dyno'd it with all the bolt ons. I've had some dyno runs at K&N and aFe separately but I would assume nothing crazy. At besssst I would guess around 300 hp and whatever equivalent torq math from stock. I think if you go stage 1 tune i've seen those dyno around 350 to 384 from N75, SXTH as well as Lap3 I hear are good tunes. I would check this FB forum for KN owners there are ton who've gone stage 1, 2 etc and def make more power than mine:
      facebook.com/groups/670887790745520
      Maybe eventually i'll go stage 1 as I'm just kinda putting the build as it comes to help support more power, so stay tuned!
