This is honestly a really cool effect 🔥
Yes!! I've been looking for this effect for some time but other tutorials just confused me 😅 thanks 💙
Great video again. Can definitely see myself using this introducing my videos 🔥🔥🔥

Great tutorial - 1 Q - How can I change the text font from the timer?
Great!!!
Thank you!
tnx🙃
Thank you :)
Great video, really helpful but how do I change the font of the timecode?
At 1:26, mine showed the same mask but transparent background. Same steps. Same view. So I am confused on the different outcome. I had to add a 3rd black solid layer beneath the timer comp to get the same effect that you get at 1:26. Do you know what could have caused the difference?
Brilliant!
Thank you sir!
You’re welcome! Thanks for your support
How about if i want to add an icon or picture instead of the timestamp? How do i make the image circle shaped?
Fantastic, exactly what I was looking for. Thank you
Amazing! Thank you for your support
Great tutorial! 2 questions. 1) My time code has semi-colons instead of colons, is there a way to change that? 2? How do you change the font of the timecode effect?
for the timecode's semi-colon, you have to change that setting from drop frame to non-drop frame! this might help: mikemurphyco.medium.com/221-after-effects-trick-timecode-simplified-4baf24c787af
@@sanjanac12345 Thank you so much!
I can't see the other reply. What did you do to change the semi colon to a colon and the text?
Just what I was looking for! How do I change the font of the numbers?
Great Tour ! I have a question. After finish creat a Countdown how to add it to Video Conference App like Cisco Webex ! THanks !
This video helped me a lot thank you brother
Thank you ever so much!
Hope to learn more from u
Very cool. Is the default 8 seconds? I want something like a five minute timer
The rendering is going very slow once the motion blur is applied. What will this look like when the rendering is finished?
Awesome tutorial mate! How do I save just the timer as a transparent alpha channel? I would like to display it as a background to a side in my Zoom meetings.
if you want to render it on alpha just add it to your render queue and set it to "Lossless with Alpha".
To get it to be transparent just follow the tutorial and instead of adding a colorful background leave it empty.
How do you make the background transparent?
Is there a way to make the time code transparent (showing only white, but no black on a transparent layer) screen doesn’t work for an alpha channel or transparency.
ok so how do i change the font?
awesome tutorial thank you!!
do you have any non-adobe software recommendations to create a similar countdown?
Thank you! I don’t, unfortunately. I’m only comfortable enough to teach Adobe. I do want to expand and help others though so what software do you use?
thnks
Thank you!
Love the tutorial, just one question, when creating the mask, in my case it was not only the numbers that got deleted but also the black layer around it, how to only apply the mask to the numbers?
It's because you have "Toggle Transparency Grid" active. It's not a problem, only visually different.
@@freakyrawen i simply restarted my project and it worked...
Good Stuff
Thank you so much!
How can I change timecode font?
Yes we would like to know that :D
Is there a problem with very long timers ?
Bro, those guys are using freaking Java Scripts, & I am a Chemistry Student & You made this timere in just few clicks, Impressive bro, I will use this method forever now😂👍👍👍
You can skip the whole "mask" process by altering the display format seen on 0:47 under Timecode. It's a little technical. I don't know what's underneath that dropdown as I don't have adobe after effects currently.
Let me explain what's already there.
HH = Hour,
MM = Minute,
SS = Seconds
sss = Milliseconds.
This will save you rendering time, and you can use centering tools out of the box I presume.
Yeah... That's not an option...
Hello, i Need your help. I followed the video step by step, the difference Is that i have a 25 minute timer. When i try to export with Adobe media encoder, using HS24 1920x1080 24fps etc (no audio), It gives me an estimated time of 4 hours Just for 25 minute of timer. Exist a Faster way? Thanks
Sir give me script download link
Ok, but let's say, i want one cycle of the Cirle in 60 seconds, so, how can i repeat that?
How to change the timecode font?
You would need to create the timecode a slightly different way in order to change the font. I made a tutorial a while ago on that: th-cam.com/video/rQnqsUYg1Js/w-d-xo.html
But how we can export this timer to use all of our videos Instead of creating every single time in the video ? 🤔
@Fredericka Payn go to hell man , what are you talking about it?
It's strange my countdown begins at 9,29'' not 10 secondes does someone has the same problem ? :)
Great tuto by the way
its because you are not using 60 ticks instead you are using 30.
@@kingofspies1 ah ok thanks ! I will check :)
Am back again
