Great idea. I never thought of that. While I have it open I surround the chain with thin cardboard then fill in the gaps with J B Weld putty. Once it sets up there are no gaps for the chain to bunch up.
I just want to add that I was putting my chain on counter clock wife like you are doing here and my bolt came loose. I had to turn it clock wise to tighten the bolt back and to then start the chain back on it from the bottom. I’m not sure if turning it clock wise hurts anything but it worked for me.
Had that happen to me. You'll have to cut some metal to cover the whole flat area inside, drill a hole, clean the case up and JB weld epoxy the repair plate on
Remember this. Your bucking bar has a tapered end. That's the side that goes into the engine. If you don't have a spark plug tool to get the drive sprocket moving, you can use a 19mm or 3/4 will work.
Just bought a pre built for my wife and I'm putting a new chain on, got that boy through but it appears that bearing behind the bucking bar is missing. What size bearing is it...?
Was just doing this, But mine turned clockwise easily. But Counter Clockwise couldn't even budge. And then loosened the Nut. Any Idea why any of this happened.
Wow! You make it look so easy for us non-mechanically inclined folks! I understand it is not a complex procedure, but for many of us IT MAY BE. Thank you sir 👋🏻 have a great day.
how do i remove the engine? i know it seems easy, but seriously, the chain effectively holds the engine in place, so should i remove the 10t sprocket? or break the chain?! either way i can't believe i have to do this.
Thanks for all of your videos, I was wondering if you could reccomend a two stroke bicycle motor, that's in stock, for under $250, I want to attempt my first build, Thanks
Any words of advice for struggling with a problem? Just a general inquiry. (Bolts keep falling off, chain keeps hitting the frame, and other problems seem to be happening a lot lately) I feel like I am fixing the same problems every week.
Don't give up. You are learning about these. It will get easier. Then hard. Then easier and easier. Don't overtighten bolts. Make sure engine is mounted properly and secure. NO wobble
Hey Eugene. I’m struggling to build my channel. Any tips on how to get my videos into the “stream” more? I do the same thing and really love helping people. Hard to get subscribed?? Great stuff as always here. Thanks
So basically when I got my motor bike 17 yrs old btw I had to constantly keep fixing the chain because the pins were bad but the sucker took me a long way so what I did is I ordered a new chain
But I want to make a motorized bicycle my engine has a right hand sprocket I’m thinking about putting it on a mountain bike running my chain from my engine to my front sprocket and leaving everything else on as is
Your rear sprocket is off-center. Remove the chain, raise rear wheel, place a screwdriver as a guide to check if sprocket spins evenly. I'll bet you'll find the sprocket is off center. Loosen up rag joint hardware and give sprocket a few love taps to adjust. Tighten up rag joint and check side to side wobble and go !
So you're telling me to launch your pockets for money they spent millions of dollars on a piece of metal to make sure You can't just wrap the chain around😮🎉😂
I knew how to put my chain on but I watched the video anyways to help my homie Hugh out
You a champ !
Eugene I really wanted to thank you for all of your knowledge, I recently built one of my own and I couldn't have done it without you.
Glad 2 help
@@HughesMotorized I'm officially tearing ass around the neighborhood 😁

What size chin do u put on there
Yes but what if where the long screw goes in that whole corner has snapped

Hello may i ask how to fix that if it is stiff and wont move as it wont let the back wheel move for me
Just got your arch tensioner, very excited
Main thing is to bend it some to match the frame. You want the wheel to be exactly 90 degrees to the chain. th-cam.com/video/Y02gjxLK_nA/w-d-xo.html

After I put my chain on it still catch's how can I fix that? Is my chain to loose
Why wud the small sprocket not move are all kits like that is that normal or wud it loosen up mate

5/16" or 8mm.

@@HughesMotorized Thanks for the prompt reply. I'll help with the hair product fund ! You're the boss.
how does this work? i mean does the wheel spinning too when idling? doesnt it broke the engine?
Can you make a playlist for how to repair/maintain the bike engine?
I need to put piston rings on and snapped 2 sets and feel disheartened
They are tricky. I have vids on replacing piston & rings. Search my channel
What is the size of the chain that you use in this video
This was the stock #415 chain. I sell the #41 but why waste the stock ones is my thought
What do I do if I don’t have this tool?

Dude, thank you. I was about ready to take a hammer to this damn thing.
I got an issue, is there any way to shorten the chain?

do most of these kits come with the chain connection link ?
yes. connector link included. You still want to cut or break the chain to fit
What happens if you turn counterclockwise can you loosen something up
You might loosen the nut
Good easy to follow and understand!

You saved a million diy mechanics from driving the longest screw into the engine

Thanks a million good sir!
Thanks. Worked for me!

What size is the chain
Stock is 415 also a #41 works too
What size chain
Stock chain is #415. I suggest #41. It's a hair wider and stronger.

After I put my chain on when I backed the bike up the chain started to get tight but when I roll it forward the chain has slack ho do I fix my problem

@@HughesMotorized why is it turning over when I move it backwards and not forwards
I'm so stupid I've just been using a flat head in between each tooth to turn it
