Awesome T-shirt lol Mushroom cultivation used to be a hobby of mine. I was called the Wizard by some people, I'm too old for that hobby now.The wizard has hung up his magic wand. Video Idea For You: Test to see if an aftermarket CNC & cast cylinder head, actually cools better than a stock head. Kevin's Shop tested the volume of a CNC "high compression" head & found it was actually larger volume-lower compression, than a stock head (maybe the newer style stock heads got smaller?) My cast $35 head is a lot heavier than my stock one but it might only be soaking up combustion heat, without actually dissipating it faster/cooling better. Sometime I was gonna use my temp gun & test my $35 cast head VS the stock head. These heads might be a waste of $35-$65 and you might be able to get better cooling by making a free DIY air scoop for a stock head. Like the old 2 stroke dirt bikes used to use. Kevin's shop proved that the "high compression" head was a lie.So I wouldn't be surprised if better cooling was also a lie.
I recently saw a case where an extremely drunk woman was arrested for DUI for pushing her moped down the street. Her moped was impounded and she spent 3 days in jail. At trial it was proven that it was in a non running condition so charges were dismissed. She still had to pay towing and storage fee’s not to mention a letter from a mechanic and three lost days in jail.
Moral of the story. Don't drink and drive. I guess cops are tired of scraping bodies off of the roads from drunk drivers. Wanna go out and drink? get a designated driver or call Uber. I gave up going out drinking myself. sip a little at home now
You are truly the master and the only one I'll listen to. You know your shit. Thanks for all the videos! I have learned so much about motors. I knew nothing when I started.
thank you man! you really helped me out i was about to quit man i got so frustrated and upset.. Your video really helped out man this bike to me is like wings I got my freedom thank you..
Have had my bike running for about 75 miles now using 8 Oz to one gallon of gas. On my last ride going about 20 mph and all of sudden it started to die, it was getting gas but no power. I heard a pop sound and sounded like it was at half power. Shut it off, turns over and can hear the throtle trying but it bogs down and nothing. Check the ohm on the cdi and its at 30. Can I use just any cdi on a 100 cc motor? Or should I look for something more that I might be missing but that's all I can come up with just looking at videos to help diagnosis this situation
WAAAYYYYY too much oil. 3.2oz per gallon is what you need. Screw the manual or whatever anyone says. Check for spark. Usually no spark is caused by bad magneto coil
I just got my first one I’m mad at myself for not buying like 3 of the same engine I just had the piston rings break on me guess I gotta wait until next paycheck lol it is a fun hobby
Great video, Eugene! I'm no noob but it's always a good idea to listen to the guru of gas bikes when he speaks...you'll likely learn something you didn't know. I was listening to the video as I was driving and when you said "You have my official permission to stop peddling", the peeps in the car next to me were probably wondering what got me laughing out loud 😂😂😂
I just noticed your shirt. I myself have heavily explored consciousness and spiritually in this manner. McKenna, Rogan, and many others. "Tuna sized ideas that we can wrestle into our boats to bring ashore and feed the people". Now back to the engine stuff!
Your information got me running, after only 3 rides I tried to start it today. It feels like I have a lot more drag going on pedaling then I did before, almost in the sense that it might be seized up. It ran very well, very little pedaling required now I can hardly pedal it at all?
Excellent video! 5 years building and riding with my son, and yet I enjoyed your video. Not sure about anyone else, but my feet were simulating peddle movements thanks to you. Lol.
My CDI isn't getting the right readings on my multimeter, am I doing something wrong, it sparks a tiny bit with the old Chinese spark plugs and got a new NGK one and nothing, should I buy new CDI? If so what would you recommend buying?
Gave me the go ahead to get that glug glug back. Shit had me stressed for hours but I readjusted the clutch cable and got a better engagement. Fuck this shit can be hard to figure out. Thanks for the help mr motorized sports.
So about 2 weeks ago I put one of these 80cc 2-stroke motor on my bike. This is my first build and when I was finished building it and I took it out I was very surprised with how quickly and easily it did start. Now I'm getting to the point where I'm almost through the break-in and now I'm having starting issues. I checked for fire I can definitely see Spark whether that spark is strong enough or not I cannot tell you but I Can See Spark and that tells me that it's got fire. So I pulled the plug and yep the plug was wet and very oily wet and that's likely because I'm running 24 to 1 ratio I'll probably be changing that to more like 40 to one but right now I'm running 24 to 1 it didn't seem to be a problem prior to today. What I noticed is that as slowly started getting harder and harder to start, even once it was already warmed up. So like I said I checked for fire I checked the Magneto it looks all right and all in order however I didn't test the voltage coming out of it and come to think of it I'm not sure how one would do that without the motor running in the first place. Fuel seems to be getting its fuel based on the fact that the plug was wet it's almost like I'm getting spark sometimes and sometimes I'm not. It will go eventually and like you said pedal pedal pedal pedal pedal but before when I first put together I did not have to Pedal like this to even get it to start kicking in it it would just fire up and go after pedaling to 9 or 10 km an hour drop the clutch, barely ever used the choke and it would always run just fine. Now like I said even after warmed up, if I'm lucky enough to get it started, it seems to still start really hard if at all. Could I be having Magneto issues already? And if so how do I test that. I can tell you right now that I got Spark I'm just not sure how strong that spark is. I got the old school Factory carburetor, everything on this is Factory and the primers on the bottom of this particular one. Otherwise it's pretty much exactly like the one you show in your video. I think maybe it's running a little rich so rich in fact that it just bogs when I try to get it to start. But just like you say when it does start to kick in you can feel it because it jumps and then that's when you want to keep pedaling but I'm really struggling really hard to even get it close to that. So I've checked fire and I have fire is there any more checking in that area I should be doing? Vacuum leak I'm not so sure I have to worry about that I do have the O-ring I've multiple times made sure that carb was pushed on nice and tight and the clamp well and tighten down. The only other thing I can think is needing to do some float Bowl adjustments which I could use some help with understanding this particular carburetor and how to adjust the float generally it's just metal tab when you bend it very gently and ever so slightly I'm not sure if this one is the same as most other float Bowl carburetors. Anyway any suggestions would be greatly appreciated while I wait for your second video where you're probably going to go over a diagnosis process. Until then I've subscribed and liked the video because I can see I'm going to need videos like this and work with the experts as the Chinese that make these things do not send proper instructions and want you to run a ridiculous ratio of oil to gas and perhaps that's the problem I did run that ratio at the very beginning for at least one tank before I backed it off to 24:1 the plug doesn't seem fouled though when it does start and it's running it runs like a dream. Also when it starts and runs as it should there is a nice tan color burn on the plug. This tells me that it's got a good air fuel ratio. So needless to say I'm baffled and I really need this running cuz it is my main form of transportation so any help would be appreciated. Thanks for the video and taking the time to make it and thanks for any time in advance that you take to answer my questions. Hopefully I gave enough information that you can tell me where I should be looking. One would think it would be fairly simple where it's not like a car and a million One sensors you got air fire and fuel it's one of those three oh and the clutch. I can tell you this everything's wired right the clutch engages and disengages properly, and it's hard starting issue seem to start yesterday or the day before and slowly got worse and worse till it's to the point where I just can't get it started. So this problem was a progressive problem. Again any advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you for your time and effort
Okay quick check and there's definitely Spark, definitely have fire. Pulled the fuel line off the base of the fuel filter no fuel running out with the peacock turned off turn the peacock on and fuels running out so there's definitely fuel making it to the carburetor and there's definitely a spark. So I guess now I need to concentrate on intake leaks and checking for them? I see you do already have the part too I don't have to watch it but I'm assuming you spray starter fluid on the intake and if it revs up this is assuming I can get it started then there's a vacuum leak. If you don't have starter fluid I think you can use WD-40 and it will stall if there's a vacuum leak. Can't remember. But you definitely can use starter fluid and the motor should idle higher if there's a vacuum leak if there's no vacuum leak well it just won't suck in the starter fluid. Is there any methods that you use to check vacuum leaks and perhaps that's already in your part 2 and if it is I'll know the answer to that in a few minutes. Because obviously I'm going to watch the video. But yeah quick update, I got Spark, definitely have fuel rolling out the peacock and through the fuel filter so that boils it down to carburetor and a gunked up jet or an intake leak. I'm more leaning towards the carburetor and the gunked up jet because I did run that ridiculous ratio and I'm still running a fairly strong ratio 24 to 1. I just don't know how to check the jet on this style carburetor do you just take the float bowl off, via the two little screws and the Jet is up in there somewheres? Maybe that's in your part two video as well. Forgive me if I'm asking questions that's already explained in your part 2 video. I want to go give this one more try outside and then watch part 2.
Okay, I got the problem figured out and it's running great again. Turns out needed to replace the spark plug. I really didn't think I would have to where the motor is quite new and it's just starting to get past its break in Period now so I surprised that the plug that came with the motor failed that quickly and where I was seeing spark coming off it I didn't think that the plug would be the problem. I got the appropriate NGK replacement, set the gap to 0.03 of an inch and it fired right up. So I'm really happy about that😊 interesting fact the plug that came with the motor, the ZC plug I believe it is called, was gapped to0.04 of an inch So based on what I've researched it was 0.01 of an inch larger Gap than what it should have been, however it ran great anyway before the plug failed. Regardless I probably should have checked the gap before installing it. Either way it's up and running again now and thank you for making the videos you make. Despite the fact I am a certified small engine mechanic I have not dealt with motorized bicycles very much if at all, like I said this is my first build, so it was nice to have videos done by somebody who very much understands and is an expert in these two stroke motors for bicycles. For example thanks to your part two video I now know how to check for vacuum leaks around the whole block. There's other ways I would have went about checking for vacuum leaks but they require expensive tools that is a very nice, innovative and economical way to check for vacuum leaks on this little motor a 3/4 in hose attached to the intake, exhaust Port blocked off with the gasket on it, and about 5 PSI is a pressure blowing through the hose after coating all the suspected areas with soapy water, what a great idea man so thank you for that I would have ended up buying expensive vacuum gauges and stuff trying to check for vacuum leaks. So now that I'm back up and running I do still have a quick question do I have the plug gap at the proper gap? I have a gap at0.03 of an inch as recommended by Google but like I said the factory plug was gapped 0.01 of an inch larger does that make much of a difference is 0.03 of an inch Gap the more appropriate Gap? Also I noticed a tiny amount of oil building up at the base of the crankcase around the gasket area it doesn't like drip a whole lot of it it's just if I touch my finger there I'll get dirty oil all over it, I torqued the bolts down to ensure the gasket was doing its thing however I'm not sure if it's normal for a little bit of oil to end up on your block or not especially around the bottom of the crankcase and is normal for these motors or could this be an indication of a very mild vacuum leak?
@@HughesMotorized agreed, my next mixture will be 40:1 as everyone who actually has experience with these particular Motors say run 40:1 from the start and I have to agree based on how much excess oil I'm seeing in the system after running that 16 to 1 ratio. And like I said I backed it off to 24:1 and I still feel that's a little rich. As long as I'm not going to lose my motor I'm going to take everyone's recommendations and go straight to 40:1 on my next mix. Should extend the life of the plugs to that way I don't have to deal with that again. That was a whole day of peddling struggling to get a motor started that just wasn't going to start because a fairly new spark plug turned out to be garbage. I'm just happy I got it running again. And thank you so much for making these videos because it is a great help as the manuals are garbage which I'm sure you know all about.
I've watched alot of you tube videos that are just a yawn fest.obviiusly it's a get paid by the seconds.yawn But you dear sir,not a single yawn, alot of common sence which isn't common anymore.heck I even got some laugh out of it.especially when you said now you got my permission to stop pedaling.very entertaining all the way through.every content creators should look at you're videos and learn that's how you make a video!thanks so much for a well done video .I think I forgot to blink but that's ok.😂
I have a very strange issue with one of my bikes the motor is brand new and I have probably only road or about 5 miles and I was going like 15-20 max anyway it worked one time then after that it wouldn't start we replaced the cdi, carburetor check compression it was 50psi which was the same psi as my other bike which worked then we replaced the spark plug and it has spark but it won't start at all and I'm not sure why i checked the crank seals they were good and the piston rings are fine no head cracks or cylinders cracks it just won't start any ideas
Hey boss I have a quick question if you don't mind I was riding my bike I got home I put it in the garage like normal woke up the next morning there was a puddle of gas underneath it and when I tried to crank it I was getting blowed back compression from the gas tank I changed the plug I changed the fuel filter I drained the tank I checked the carburetor and it still won't start do you have any ideas
Hey Hugh I bought some stuff from you and take a lot of your advice as I believe what you say because you been in the game a long time. I appreciate what you do for everyone and you taking the time to make videos on it. Thank you for that. I would really appreciate it if you could do me a solid and answer this question for me. What could be causing my bike to not start with the choke on? I know most people can't get it to start with it off but I am having the opposite problem. Lol I am running 3.2 ounces of 2stroke oil to a gallon of gas and I am still in break in, you said to use that ratio from start till death so that is what I am doing. It runs pretty good with choke off once it warms up. I haven't really hit the throttle half way yet because I only got about maybe a total of 15 miles on it and I pretty much on pull back the throttle 1/4 of the way while clutch is engaged. I am doing everything properly and everything is nice and tight with no air leaks.
Thanks. I'd offer try to start by pressing primer button down for 4 seconds and choke on about half way. Once the engine has turned over a few times quickly push choke lever to run. I'm in a warm place that most engines don't like the choke on so much but need a little extra gas. Once started I have to put the choke lever about half way for a bit or it will die
Do you have a video on what to replace on 2 stroke engine that is old or can you tell me what I can check to make sure it will work if I install on abike.
thanks for the video! I´ll change the carburetor to see if my bt100 runs again I a question though, before the motor failed (I rode it for like 300 kilometers max) I had a very low mileage, something like 17 to 19 kilometers per liter (40 MPG I think) what do you think can be the reason? greetings from chile
Huge good stuff love your videos..um I got a HP carborater and when I fire it up it starts I let it idol and for a few min let's say 25 min and it just shuts off so the only way I keep it from shutting off I have to twist the throttle to keep it on to keep it on sorry for my spelling😅 any advice about that
I changed the the carburetor the cdi um still have the stock spark plug it could be my spark plug but it does stay on good so it's not so it has to do with something else.i changed my carborater to the HP one because the stock one did not flow into the carburetor so I had to switch it so I could flow and it did but when I turned it on it it does turn on but when I let it idle it kind of shuts slowly so I have to turn the throttle for it to stay on so if you know anything answers about that problem please let me know
I don't try and tune one so it will sit and idle. I only care that it runs. they all idle a little rough. easy enough to restart or use throttle to keep running
Hey Mr. Hughes, love the tee shirt. I have a problem with my bike, I don't know if it will start or not, the guy that put it together said the clutch won't engage. I am not a mechanic, I can build stuff, piddle with stuff, maybe I'm just a nut jockey, not a real mechanic. Also, I have no instruction manual, got any ideas? Thanks, Bob
Hey buddy need help just got a 2 stroke kit from Amazon looks just like the one on this video. Can’t locate oil fill or oil drain plug, maybe you can help me out. Great video thanks
I got a Peugeot ludix snake furious. The problem with it is that when I’m turning on the air/fuel mixture screw just a tiny bit it starts pouring out gasoline out of the overflow. I tried with 4 diff rents carbs. What can cause the problem
My bike was running fine I changed the jet because it was four stroking anyway after I change the jet it turned on but then it started losing power gaining powere and then it died all together I changed the carb but that didn’t work I don’t know if it’s the spark plug or the chi it’s only two month old and I don’t run it everyday can u please help
I add a new electrical system and new rings and gaskets and it still won't start I have pedal and pedal so can I get some help I wired up everything right
Ok I do like all your great videos watch them all the time I got a question I have no spark on my spark plug I am getting power coming out of my coil but no power coming out of the cdi so I ordered a complete set the coil magnet cdi an spark plug installed all still no fire on the spark check the spark plug wire it is getting power it is doing the same thing it was doing with the old parts I checked the magneto with a test light it is lighting up the test light very bright does this mean I have two bad cdis spark plug has no fire the magnet is set at 1 o'clock all wires are hooked up correctly it is doing the same thing it did with the old parts at one time with the old parts it did hit an run a little bit I said the spark plug wire was getting power what I meant I put a battery on it it is getting power through it not from cdi do you no what it could be also could you tell me where I can get a good cdi thank you.
Hi I just got a motorized bike I was holding the clutch and halfway riding it the rear tire stopped I was using it as a normal bike at the time like it was fully assembled but I just didn’t put gas in it and now the rear wheel is stuck the clutch cable works when I pull it but I don’t know what to do
When I take my hand off the clutch, the back wheel freezes like the breaks applied. ‘Auto Morris 110CC 2 stroke engine’. Tried to start it for the first time and I got no downhill around here, hahaha. When I was pedalling, it was a double pedalling for both chains. I was told the spark plug connector could be loose cause’ the red one has just a spring in the back to hold the top of the spark plug. The chain may be a little loose or the plastic wheel isn’t right, but I don’t think that matters? I also don’t have a primer. Hahaha keep pedalling? I release the clutch and the back break freezes like the brakes applied. What do I do with that?
When I ride my bike my clutch lever with a spring is what is the clutch out reverse reverse and it tightens down a click bad for I cannot move my bike i have to back off the flower nut to listen up the clutch plate so I can ride 8 can get about 3 blocks I have to listen the flower nut aging
Hi I just got the bike yesterday and I put it together and I’m using the 40 to 1 premix end it is really cold outside maybe about 22° I have spark and compression but it still won’t start is the fuel the issue or is the engine freezing
Check for spark first. If you have spark then Id offer remove air filter, push on carb primer for several seconds to prime carb, and spray a shot of quick start into carb opening with choke lever down then immediately lift up on choke lever to put choke into starting position then try to start bike. If it starts then slowly lower choke as it begins to warm up
I was given exact same used bike for a gift. Customer told me he had electrical issues with it so I’m going to start the detective work.. lol BTW where can I find part for this? Thanks again!
I just bought a new CDI and magneto I tested the spark and it works I have compression and a clean Carburetor and it still won't start can you please reply with some tips that might help please 🙏
So oh no well compared to you, I'm sure but I had a bunch of carburetor problems. And I finally just got sick of it and threw away 2 carpenters that I didn't like anyway and went back to my old nt.. My bike starts just fand bombs right down the road. After just a minute, you know. But soon as it gets hot it starts to try to bog out, looses power n bogs when i try n give it gas.... Is that sounding like an Air problem or a gas problem? That's my problem. I was about to say. I'm pretty sure the car breakers working properly cause. I just cleaned it everything but send since I'm only pretty sure I'm gonna go through that again just on general principle. And is there an easy way to detect airleaks without taking everything apart? One at a time? In the car could use. That kind of starting fluid but I don't know about these things. And I'm not in favor of blowing my engine you're not or anything
Engine has a black and a white wire also either a red or blue. Forget about the white wire it's useless. cut it off inside the engine. The CDI has a black and either a blue or red. Black from engine to black on CDI and one wire from kill switch (color doesn't matter) red or blue from engine to red or blue on CDI along with 2nd kill switch wire
I built one of these a year or two ago when was all the rage. I went all out with high comp head, upgraded cdi, port enhanced and etc. it scoots around 45 but it’s just like building a car. I have problems. Right now mine won’t start. I plan on rebuilding over winter.
Ok, let me tell you one with details. 100 km 80cc - so new one. Won't start unless heated before. If preheated won't stop until cooled down because it selfignites. Also overheats after 2km and slowly dies. So i thought ignition but threw the spark plug out and ran it grounded to the cylinder and it works. Any ideeas ? The carb is too simple to have any issues but i also dismantled all of it. Ran fine only 5 times. NO STUPID ANSWERS !!!!
Could you possibly answer my questions... So my bike engine starts when I let go of the clutch not all the way but just a bit so it starts but when I try and pull the throttle to give it gas nothing happens
Hey Hughes. My bike is having a strange issue. Sometimes, its starts fine and runs for a while, and then it stops. Other times, it wont run, but it will have some strokes of combustion. Any idea whats wrong? I dont know what to check. Thanks in advance.
Intermittent issues are tough. Could be coil or DCI issue, bad plug, plug wire or starved for fuel. Have to eliminate one by one. Has the bike been running fine? New install?
@@HughesMotorized ive tried two plugs, both same result. the cdi, magneto, and carb are all brand new. another potential source, there is black tar, looks to be burnt oil, in the case where the magneto is. think that could be related?
@@HughesMotorized update: the issue was the head wasnt tighened on enough. after taking the cylinder off and reseating it, plus a good torque down of the head bolts, it ran!
I just bought this motor bike, it’s not starting, I rode it for half the block and turn off, it has compression but I still can’t get it to start fully, after being at work for so many days and didn’t got the time to work on it today I did, replaced all the electrical, nothing, the one thing I’m thinking could be is the carburetor might have a clogged jet, does anyone has any advice for me, the head has port work done to it and it has an extended air intake
I want to know did I use the wrong gas because when I first got the bike from the guy I bought it from tell me not to use cheap gas so I was thinking that he was meeting 17 floor gas from a gas station so I use 89 and he agreed to that so two days later I’m wondering why the bike won’t start and I’m thinking did I use the wrong gas?
First thing check spark an fuel windex bottle with a little gas I works great spray it in Back of carb if there's spark an it starts you know it's a fuel problem sparkplug is wet then change it or dry it off an check spark if it's orange it's finished if it's blue your good if there's o spark check magneto mine a spring off m h recoil came off an went into the magneto a just Shaved enough off it that it weakened my spark I could feel, a shock but very weak hard to find that piece right from dealer was only place I found one
My motorised bike doesn’t do the clunk de clunk noise from the engine when I am trying to get it started, I’m doing everything right and have had the bike working for a while, I can’t figure out what’s causing this issue. If you could reply with your thoughts that would be helpful thanks
So my brand new motor you guys I’m not getting spark I changed out cdi and electrical ….. and when I spin the wheel I’m not really getting restriction as far is hearing a starting noise !!!
mine is a 100cc chinese engine i have watch sevral videos of trying to trouble shoot they either got longer bikes with a built in fuel tank or something i have tryed everything in this video since i replaced my petcock and used gas teflon tape and the gasket now it wont start at all the carb was badly leaking gas from the bottom when i went to lock it up i have the red ended card not the black but it an nt carb because it say speed so if there anybody out there that can help me please its never ideled i had replaced the carb because thecstock one was junk but my installer made errors especially at the petcock installing itvand not useing no tape or gasket ive been putting so much money into itvabd getting no rrsalts
my bike quit running for no apparent reason i tried cleaning the carb nothing changed tried manually turning it over it still moves so its not stalled i tested the spark plug no spark but i also tried just the wire that goes to the spark plug also no spark it worked great the day before other then it started to jerk a bit like it was starting to get turbo fuel but i have no turbo kit any ideas?
@@HughesMotorized got nothing not even a 1 i replaced the entire electrical system and the carberator got the whole thing cleaned up and nothing changed she still tries but cannot even finish turning over
Mine suddenly started stuttering and eventually backfiring. Replaced the cdi and spark plug but there is no spark. I suspect the magneto to be the problem but im not sure. Any ideas?
I bought a used one yesterday, ran great for 2 miles and shut down. Fuel line came out @ fuel filter, gas poured on motor.... reconnected fuel line and now won't start
It is so hard to pedal my bike that the rear wheel just drags on the pavement. It does eventually start to turn, but I would say every quarter turn it drags for about a foot. It does this when the clutch is pressed and depressed. Rear brakes are not touching the rim. Clutch lever down by the engine is moving just as it's supposed to. The "clutched" position is perfectly flush with the engine, and the "un-clutched" position is inward by about 15 degrees toward the opposite side of the bike....I notice no difference in difficulty...Tried in all sorts of carb settings and wirings. Engine kit is brand new, never been run. Is the clutch only supposed to work when the engine is running? I cannot for the life of me get this thing to start.
If it was running fine then stopped the issue is not the key. Might be an intake leak. Make sure carb is fully pushed on and intake is properly and securely installed. What makes you think the key/timing is off? That is solid steel and it doesn't just jump out of time
I have one small problem. Its the peddling part. I'm way to out of shape. Hell you made my legs hurt just saying pedal so many times. Now how wants to pull me along with a car so I can start this thing? 😊
Sorry to hear that. I'm 63 and I ain't in the shape I was years ago. I'm better. Look into 2 pretty gals on TH-cam. High Carb Hanna for weight loss and Yoga w/ Adrienne. Also look into time restricted eating. Dr Jason Fung. I've lost a lot of weight by going plant based and only eating 2 meals a day. No oils, sugar, breads, cake, cookies or processed foods. DO IT!!! The Yoga will help too. I'll offer you simply KEEP PEDALING. You'll pedal a few feet farther each day. Make this a fun challenge not a problem. You can do this
I recently bought the bullet train electric start 100cc engine off bike battery without the electric start had it for like a month a piston ring broke I replaced it now it won't start
I rroad mine about 2 miles then turned mine off after 15min I started it again then left it for a day then it would not start checked the cdi checked spark plug adjusted my carb
lmao yer giving me ptsd with this "dont stop pedaling" shit because that's all i did yesterday... woke up today with no legs lol. i had a known spark plug issue so even with the pops was getting no spark and going nowhere for a long time had to walk about an hour home
learning experience. Most sparks are weak and hard to see. Try this. Remove plug, put it in cap, hold against the head with your hand touching end of plug and push bike forward. If you get shocked and immediately want to shoot me then you have spark. Often the cause of no spark is either it's wired wrong or coil loop is bad
@@HughesMotorized FINALLY GOT IT! my chinese motor came missing a half moon clip causing the magneto to not spin. I lifted the bike and spun the pedal a million times checking for spark but didnt notice until my buddy did it while i watched.

I gave up going out drinking myself. sip a little at home now
Did she have a history of DUI?
My advice would be to stay away from alcohol in general, for me weed is more than enough you know.

Great starter info! Still good to hear these things. Thanks brother.
Any time!
You are truly the master and the only one I'll listen to. You know your shit. Thanks for all the videos! I have learned so much about motors. I knew nothing when I started.
straight up and down. ive been fabricating for over 15yrs and you can tell when someone knows what the hell they're talking about
thank you man! you really helped me out i was about to quit man i got so frustrated and upset.. Your video really helped out man this bike to me is like wings I got my freedom thank you..
Glad to hear it
A great how-to video. You are very knowledgeable about the 2 stroke bike builds
Glad you think so! Thanks
@hughes I’m not getting spark on new engine or hearing thunka thunka when spinning wheel
Am I the only one who couldn't help laughing when he said, "sucking and squishing and banging and blowing?"... lmao 🤣😂🤣😂
I just got my first one I’m mad at myself for not buying like 3 of the same engine I just had the piston rings break on me guess I gotta wait until next paycheck lol it is a fun hobby
This is a great help, I purchased a used motorized bike and had no idea how to start it, I like the "keep peddling until I tell you to stop"
Glad it helped!
Thanks 4 your video. YOUR video got me informed when I started the hobby. It's cool that your from Houston. Me too
I think you are hillarious. Thanks for another great video.
Oh thank you! Thanx 4 watching
Made them look. Cool
I just noticed your shirt. I myself have heavily explored consciousness and spiritually in this manner. McKenna, Rogan, and many others. "Tuna sized ideas that we can wrestle into our boats to bring ashore and feed the people". Now back to the engine stuff!
all your suggestions are very good
Your information got me running, after only 3 rides I tried to start it today.
Lol.
That is awesome! Pedal!!
Thank you brother 😊. O just bought one 2 stork
Try 40:1 gas/oil ratio. Screw the manuals. All the oldtimers like me run it. Some even use Opti 2 synthetic at 100:1
@@HughesMotorized agreed, my next mixture will be 40:1 as everyone who actually has experience with these particular Motors say run 40:1 from the start and I have to agree based on how much excess oil I'm seeing in the system after running that 16 to 1 ratio.

Did u find out the reason it won’t turn on ?

Lol
I am running 3.2 ounces of 2stroke oil to a gallon of gas and I am still in break in, you said to use that ratio from start till death so that is what I am doing.

It’s air cooled so don’t let it just sit there running or it’s going to overheat.

When I ride my bike my clutch lever with a spring is what is the clutch out reverse reverse and it tightens down a click bad for I cannot move my bike i have to back off the flower nut to listen up the clutch plate so I can ride 8 can get about 3 blocks I have to listen the flower nut aging
watch my clutch video. You might need to adjust pre-load on inner clutch shaft

Pull head and inspect. Gasket leak? Intake leak?
Im having alot of problems with my 2 stroke motoeized bike...the gas line is leaking,
And it wont start.
It is even put together right?
Hi you said to be specific I let some dumb kid rev my bike up and now the motor seems to be seized any any thoughts
Am 😕 confused of the wiring how does the 4 wirs hook up brother
Post on my facebook Page. Hughes Motorized. Try and get some video. describe in detail what is going on and show the carb.
I would like to know what is causing the motor to back fires and has no power it will idle can't ride the bike
I have only ran the cheapest gas for 11 years or so... no issues
Will adding too much oil to the fuel cause the engine to not start/run?
First thing check spark an fuel windex bottle with a little gas I works great spray it in Back of carb if there's spark an it starts you know it's a fuel problem sparkplug is wet then change it or dry it off an check spark if it's orange it's finished if it's blue your good if there's o spark check magneto mine a spring off m h recoil came off an went into the magneto a just Shaved enough off it that it weakened my spark I could feel, a shock but very weak hard to find that piece right from dealer was only place I found one

my bike quit running for no apparent reason i tried cleaning the carb nothing changed
tried manually turning it over it still moves so its not stalled
i tested the spark plug no spark but i also tried just the wire that goes to the spark plug also no spark
it worked great the day before other then it started to jerk a bit like it was starting to get turbo fuel but i have no turbo kit
any ideas?
its a raw racer 2 60/80cc motor with a 32/1 gas ratio
Might be coil loop. Check it w/ ohmmeter (300ohms + or -) or replace it
@@HughesMotorized got nothing not even a 1 i replaced the entire electrical system and the carberator got the whole thing cleaned up and nothing changed she still tries but cannot even finish turning over
Mine suddenly started stuttering and eventually backfiring. Replaced the cdi and spark plug but there is no spark. I suspect the magneto to be the problem but im not sure. Any ideas?
Magneto coil would do that. Yes
I bought a used one yesterday, ran great for 2 miles and shut down. Fuel line came out @ fuel filter, gas poured on motor.... reconnected fuel line and now won't start
CDI. If you are having occasional pops and spark it's a bad CDI unit.
You need to feed more clutch cable in so it pulls more
Oh yeah everyone please turn on the notifications also along with subscribing nad leaving a like. Thank you.
Ima put this right here
How do I fix the timing of the key is off. It's brand new ran for two days then just quit. It's got fire, it's got fuel
If it was running fine then stopped the issue is not the key. Might be an intake leak. Make sure carb is fully pushed on and intake is properly and securely installed. What makes you think the key/timing is off? That is solid steel and it doesn't just jump out of time
How would I take the spoiled gas out in order to put new gas in?
Just dump it out in a container or onto ground
Gotta diagnos it
I just bought and assembled a motor but I can't pedal even if I pull the clutch bar manually by hand all the way in..

You can do this
I have a bt80. was riding @30mph and run out of gas. And it shot. And it wont start again
I’m not getting the thunka thunka thunka when i goto start it
Why is it that when I pop the clutch the tire won't turn n just skids
Make sure you pedal while you pop the clutch cause you still have to kick start it by pedaling
That is my problem.Gaz was pouring out the carburetor at the filter park.Just like you said , what causes it and how can I fix it
My clutch won't turn when it's engaged and disengaged it's new I drove it for a hour then it just stopped on me and wheel won't turn

Get yourself a BT80 with an electric starter.
lmao yer giving me ptsd with this "dont stop pedaling" shit because that's all i did yesterday... woke up today with no legs lol. i had a known spark plug issue so even with the pops was getting no spark and going nowhere for a long time had to walk about an hour home
Is that a 24” bike?
26" Cranbrook
Let’s see
hello sir my motorize bike ride and stuck ,whats rong
I have spark I put my finger on it and it hurts and my bike still doesn’t want to turn on
Pull head and inspect. Gasket leak? Intake leak?
Brand new and no spark! Im frustrated...
learning experience.
@@throatpunch4789 cool beans. Yup quality control is hit or miss on these
