Alpine Lakes Fly Fishing for Wild Trout (Mammoth Lakes)

Hilton Lakes are a series of 5 lakes that hold Brook, Rainbow and Golden Trout depending on which lake you fish. This is only one lake of the 5. I had a great time sight fishing for beautiful rainbow and golden/rainbow hybrid trout on this summer day in the Eastern Sierra, and my wife caught a ton of fish too!

yup, i'm always amazed too at the diversity of the rainbow trout in these alpine lakes. same species, same spot, very different colors and patterns, but all very pretty.
