- I'm excited to share with you today what I eat in a day for healthy and sustainable vegan weight loss. Four years ago I finally quit overcomplicating my diet and became a healthy vegan eating a whole foods plant-based diet. I lost 50 LBS of body fat over a 10/11 month time frame and I have kept it off ever since easily. I hope you enjoy this video and you find it helpful on your journey.

✨Chocolate Baked Oats Cake:
1 C of rolled oats
About 1 C of chickpeas
about 1/4 c unsweet cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
1 banana
1 c plant milk
1 tbsp chia seeds
1-2 tbsp maple syrup (depends on how sweet you want it)
Top with chocolate chips (optional)
Blend and pour into non non-stick baking dish or line a regular one with parchment paper.
Bake for 25-30 mins at 350 degrees
Let cool and top with icing
Icing:
As much pb2 powder and unsweet cocoa powder as you want. I usually do 2 tbsp pb2 powder and 1 tbsp cocoa. Then I do 1 tbsp maple syrup and I add water to thin it out if need be. You can really make this how you'd like though - sometimes my measurements are different.

I make this oat meal bake once a week. I cut it in 8 pieces and when I need something a little sweet I grab one. Works great and I eat way less! ❤they are so good! I made a pan for Easter and my daughter liked them too!

@healthyVeganMama I’m loving the oatmeal bake but wondering - have you had any luck with freezing some of the ‘bars’ for warming up later? I had 3 bananas getting old and baked way too much today … prob should have thrown the 2 extra in freezer but i made more bars~

I put the salad chopper on my wishlist… I use a tablespoon of hummus with the vinegar and soy sauce instead of tahini

Yummy. I have, it was self published here on Amazon. I had some issues with printing so I took it down and I just do ebooks. Maybe one day I’ll get a real book deal 😀

Hi! I just made the YUMMY chocolate oat bake. I found it to be so "sticky," so it's a pain to get it out of the bullet blender and then wash the blender. I'm wondering if there's a different way to make this. 🤔 If you have any ideas, please let me know, as i want to make it again. Thanks! 😊

That chocolate cake looks super delicious but I entered the ingredients into chronometer and the whole cake is about 1031 calories even with zero icing, not 500 calories as you state. Just FYI for anyone watching!! That's pretty high cal for someone trying to lose weight!! Dang. I was excited about it.
Thanks for checking it out. I just added it in my crononeted and came out over 1100 calories. I changed serving size to 1/6. I always wonder why I have trouble losing weight when I eat so cleanly. Now I see I should check recipes more for calories.

Thank you for the food inspiration and for the vitamin recommendation. I have began to lose hair and I need to add the right vitamins. I just ordered some of the essential capsules. Hopefully it will help! So far I haven’t supplemented anything and have been eating this way since June of this year. I see now that this was probably foolish but today I took the first step to do better!

You're losing hair but would rather take supplements than eat a proper human diet?! You will lose much more eating this way, believe me. I'm 67 and was vegetarian, not vegan, for decades. The harm is incremental, so you can feel fine for a long time. Watch some videos from former vegans who regained their health by adding meat back into their diet.

@@plantbasedmanda2597 In what way is my comment negative? I'm 67 and would hate to see others ruin their health on such a nutrient-deficient diet. Vegetarian is bad enough, but being vegan is a slow death sentence. Vegans base their dietary choices on moral beliefs, not biology or physiology. I certainly understand the impulse to avoid eating sentient creatures, but one must understand that it's not a sustainable diet for humans. If you're willing to compromise your own health to avoid eating an animal, that's certainly your choice. 🤷🏼♀️

Sure! I’ve been making it for years in a ramekin and I would say I usually call it a brownie or mug cake.

Yes you can do it in a mug, in a load pan like I did today, in a ramekin, sometimes I don’t do baking powder and I do it as a dip lol The sky is the limit with chickpeas. I posted the chocolate chickpea dip and a different kind of dip years ago, but you can find the video on this channel 😊

That’s why it’s important you eat what works for you and not what works for me. 1 c rice, 1/2 c chickpeas, and entire container of salad and that vegan bacon is super filling for me, but maybe not you. So for sure add what you need. I’m stuffed for hours after I eat it.
