  • The Iran-Iraq War was an armed conflict between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Iraqi Republic lasting from September 1980 to August 1988, making it the 20th century's longest conventional war. It was initially referred to in English as the Gulf War prior to the Persian Gulf War of the early 1990s.
President Zia Ul-Haq Discusses the Iran-Iraq conflict and the problem of Afghan refugees in Pakistan.

Zia was the star of Afghan war
He started it and now Pakistan suffers by his sowed seeds
Why can't these leaders have a foresight about the nation
USD at the time when Zia took control it was 11 pkr to USD in 1977 and 19 pkr to usd when he left
It's a pity to those people who think he did something good

The USD surged in world markets everywhere, not just in Pakistan. This is because the Soviets fell and investors started betting on a US boom effect.

Bro it was musharaf who helped usa and usa gave safe heaven to India on Afghanistan which caused many usa black water agent and raw agent to enter palostam
      Zia was a great man
If u know history you problem know that during his time there was not a single criminal case as campered to musharaf and today time
Don't accept what political parties and media say they are slave of us and our enemies
He also made khalif in Afghanistan by helping talibans which could cause huge changes in the world but musharaf was a greedy man selected usa and then pakistan was again betrayed by usa like in 1971 and 75

MashahAllah a great person and greatest leader of the current century.
Those who blame him for forming Mujahideen groups should understand that tactical strategy management requires implementing both long term and short term strategies to achieve goals. While these strategies are formulated according to specific conditions, these need to be modified/ revised based on changing environment from time to time.
Our problem was that Gen. Zia got martyred when tactical changes ware to be incorporated. Furthermore our corrupt and incompetent politicians failed to formulate and implement effective strategies to neutralize the militia groups at later stage. They just blame Gen. Zia Shaheed for their own incompetence nothing else.

salman khan yeah because supporting the rebels who later turned into the taliban and enforced a strict sharia law and caused thousands of death for 10 years in afghanistan was totally worth it
Even if he was alive, he wouldnt be able to control them
Thats why soviet and pro ussr afghans tried to stop the mujahideens and usa wanted to topple the ussr(cold war) so they told Pakistan ussr will invade u next and made pakistan fight in that war and had funds and weapons supplied
      A proxy war

    • @SandiegoRockstar
      @SandiegoRockstar 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I agree. He did many great things, but some of the laws the Ulema introduced were not very well thought out. Mainly because it had been a long time since we had any laws derived from Islam. And the news laws were often incompatible with the existing laws which came from the British. Having said that, we shouldn't allow individual failures to destroy his entire legacy, which was on the whole pretty remarkable.

Mujahideen got their hands on stingers in 1985-86. Even with stingers, the expression 'sticks and stones' is correct because what Mujahideen had was nothing compared to what Soviets had.
Iran Iraq war did end in stalemate.

it's Gen Muhammad Zia ul haq Karam that we are living today in peace .The force (taliban) which was created by Gen Muhammad zia ul haq is now fighting against those who have killed thousand of children , women , girls and elder in drone attack for the past few year . Taliban is fighting against those who have killed a great no of civilians in iraq. It's foolishness to say that Taliban(zia army) do suicide attack in mosque , in public area . taliban strongly condemed to killed any civilian.

@UNJUSTIFICATION1 We don't trust our leaders & nor Afghanistan or US. It was Afganistan who did not allow muslim victims of India in 18th & 19th century to take refugee in Afganistan. in 1947 Pakistan got independence Afganistan was only country who did not recognize PK as independent state as they were puppies of India. I'm Pathan, beling PK Pathan we helped Afganistan to kick Russian out, and welcome afgans in our country. our govt took money to protect u & not we. We feed u and gave u shelter

@UNJUSTIFICATION1 US aid u talk about was never given to pakistanis. our govt is as corrupt as urs, thats why we both have unrest. once US will leave, India will not support u for bloodshed in PK. US thought if they put fitna of Patha, muhajir, punjabi sindi then they may demolish PK but take my words it will never happen. Against enemies we are 1 nation. When US will leave u guys have again Pathan rule & india will be out & U have ur own issue to deal about hazara vs pathan. think about that.
