Skegness - 40 Years of Goldie 2024

To celebrate 40 years of Goldie, John Golden had a meeting held at Skegness raceway for a day of fun pre90 unlimited crashing. Lots of wrecks including an extremely squashed yank and also a very rare 1963 Cadillac limo!

I don't care about the Lincolns or the jaguars or even the Bentley or whatever the other makes are but that Cadillac was way too nice to be destroyed for absolutely nothing it just breaks my heart I would love love to have that car!!!

Bloody good meeting considering the amount of no shows well worth our 6 hour trip down from lochgelly were no spoiled getting meetings like that all the time

I don’t get it, yes it looks fun, but how is it cheaper to smash up classic cars worth thousands now instead of a turd of a corsa or clio? Or is there something I’m missing??

It's not cheaper, just more fun it you see the before photos of some cars you would see how much effort goes into them. Also a lot of the saveable bit will go into restoring road going cars

Those cars are waaay beyond the possibility of restoring. Look fairly nice but totally junk even before the race

I mean unless the frame is rusted or bent it is definitely restorable I love to have majority of these cars that they completely destroyed it just breaks my heart watching these cars get completely destroyed for nothing!!!
