I went to Sikkim and there i saw this. People don't even blow horn on blind turns on a hilly road. No rash driving just stay on their lane ,respect each other. It was unbelievable how disciplined they are. And i think most North East India have this thing.
Yes in Sikkim All drivers are very disciplined. They respect all traffic polices and cooperate with them and respect them, vice versa. I wish someday this will happen across out country.
This video is from J&K, though it represents the reckless driving practice across India without any exceptions. Traffic jams are manufactured in India only because of the impatient behaviour of drivers no matter the age group or gender.
Bhai totally agreed. Me baran , Rajasthan me rehta hu. Yaha ek ralway crossing he, acha khaasa 60 foot ka roam he . Par jab bhi fatak band hota he to yaha ke drivers jo bhasad machate he uska me aapko bata nahi sakta. Jo traffic jam 15 bhi nahi hota usme ye chutiye 3 ghante laga dete he.

I have seen long queues of vehicles on Rohtang-Manali road but almost all local drivers followed the single lane rule strictly and that's why even 1 KM of traffic jam was not an issue there. Huge respect for those drivers...
Hill driving needs a certain etiquette. The problem is noob drivers who come to drive in the hills do not have the skills or the patience to drive here. Resulting in unnecessary traffic jams.

I am an Indian woman and despite facing systematic sexism and sexual harassment since childhood, lane violation is my biggest gripe in India, as evidenced by my long comment. Are other people on the road there for camping while you want to zip ahead with a 5-second advantage? Even bigger morons are found at traffic lights. People wanting to turn right will stand on the left and start turning as soon as light turns green, stopping all traffic movement. Then, despite seeing a 15 feet wide slip road, morons going straight will stand in the way of those wishing to turn left, blocking all left-turning traffic, leading to more traffic at the intersection. Then, if people wishing to turn right are waiting for signal and lining up one after another, two morons will come from behind and park ahead of them to take the right turn first as soon as light turns green. And then the biggest morons are on the road in this video. Should the oncoming traffic plunge in the gorge just so you can make two lanes and reach your destination 5 seconds in advance? Can you just spend less time scrolling your phone in the toilet and more time using your brain on the road? How do these people wait at hospitals, theatres, railway stations, airports and temples/gurdwaras? Does the doctor see them first leaving all patients? Does the movie start as soon as they reach the theatre? Does the flight attendant/TTE board them first leaving all passengers? Do they get to pay obeisance at temples/gurdwaras as soon as they park their vehicle outside? I can only pray to almighty to give them a bit of intelligence, they already have voting rights, and we can all see what that led India to.
