Great video! Thank you. Seems everybody is sucked into the Skillshare thing like sheep. Why pay for Skillshare when countless great tutorials and videos can be found on TH-cam for Free? Not convinced the overall content would be better or controlled on Skillshare either. TH-cam is fine. You're here. I'll keep my nickels and happily hit skip add in 5 seconds. 👍
Now thats kind of selfish. I mean, i agree that you can find content for free here .. but at least watch the whole ad so the CREATOR that is giving you value makes some money. Dont be a D.
Just a heads up for anyone interested in trying Skillshare.... the default option for the free trial is to "renew" after 2 weeks for an entire annual subscription. I didn't cancel mine in time and thought "oh well, I'll surely use it over the next year". Well I forgot about it, never used it, and here I am today getting billed for another entire year of this service I never used, and being denied a refund by Skillshare since I didn't notice the charge until 7 days after, which is the pittance of a grace period they grant. Pretty scummy behavior by them IMHO. I would expect at least some kind of email about the status of my account before the automatic renewal, or even an invoice of the charge (is this not required?). Other subscription services commonly have a minimum a 30 day cancellation period or a prorated cancellation refund.
Yupp, seriously getting tired of hearing about skillshare.

There are a lot of companies like that. It purely depends on your channel niche and views. Usually such companies reach to your themselves if they want

Hi, nick. How do I receive tax forms from skillshare? I have been a whole year on the platform and didn't receive any.
You mean like Udemy? They don't require it
Let me answer on this question based on experience from the US.
Skillshare doesn't send 1099-MISC, they transfer this responsibility to PayPa..
So look for your tax forms in PayPal. Keep in mind, to receive tax forms from PayPal you have to reach certain threshold.
at this point, it feels so spammy to hear about skill share in nearly every video i watch. makes me hate them for no reason and i will never use them
